when I was little ( about 7 yrs old ) I had the dvd of this video ( the dvd in the description ) and I watched it in my room every day after school! that's what gave me my love for trains! ;D
Durango & Silverton is cute, and we rode it in 9/14 and will again this June with our grand daughter, but the real deal in my opinion is the Cumbres & Toltec. Rail fan friendly to a fault, you can wander around the Chama facilities all you want - just watch out for the rattle snakes. Don't do that at Silverton though, then you would be Trespassing. I rode the CATS in 9/14, 5/16 and will again on 5-31 this year.
Durango and Silverton is privately owned and Cumbres and Toltec is public that's why. Unfortunately, all the money is in D&S while C&T barely manages to hang on...
Denver & Rio Grande Western 2-8-0 Consolidation 346 was built in 1881 by The Baldwin Locomotive Works in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, She is the world's oldest Steam Locomotive still in service.
What's the name of the song in the very beginning of the video because when I first saw this film I remembered it years later from the music that was used in it and I was wondering if maybe you could try and maybe make a soundtrack of the music used in the film because a lot of people who watch the films have wondered where you got the music from for them

There is also D&RGW 315 as well
'Fraid not - the Festiniog Railway in Wales has 'PRINCE', built in 1863 - plus several other locos of a similar vintage.

Unfortunately the music cut was not logged when we edited this program, it came from a Gene Michael CD music library.
