I really enjoy watching your videos. These old vehicles were built quick, cheap, and were expendable. That they've lasted this long and can be restored to almost original condition is amazing. I wish people could see the skill, time, and even love that goes into these restorations.
Write to the Chrysler History Museum with your serial number (found on the frame and dash data tag). For a small fee they'll send you a copy of the "build card", which has the original engine serial number on it. The address can be found on the Dodge Power Wagon site.
Chrysler started replacing dodge engine in late 1944 to 1954 using car engine as they ran out of T214 engine, I still have the book story from Chrysler. They did not use car engine in 1942 as engine replacements.
Damn, of all the dodge power wagons this is my 70 chevelle ss for spd, my 63 earl yxke.as bad as im getting anlong THIS power wag9n blows my scrit up,,,,,
The engine doesn't matter the army switcht out engines all the time they would rebuild engines swap it in and rebuild the engine that came out they would rebuild it and stuff in the next truck that came in after it

Quelle magnifique monument dans son jus des années 40 !!

I have one of these with the seats and story says it drove to where it's parked, best resources for parts would be a God sent for restoration
I like to think of it as "Resurrection". Bringing a ghostly vehicle back from the grave and reliving its value to the era.
Love it Bob. Nice score/save.
We at ABL restorations are looking forward to working with Military Collectors once again
This looks in great shape Bob!!

Says he’s not sure he could afford a remanufactured rear window & gate as he stands next to a $100,000 boat....
Ha, Ha. Maybe the boat is the reason?
