Switching my E90’s front bumper to the LCI M Sport bumper is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It’s not only fixing the issues I was having with failing clear coat on my stock bumper, it’s also giving the front of my car a much needed refresh. The M Sport bumper looks so much more aggressive than the stock one. In case you are thinking about doing this conversion on your own car, there are a few key differences when you are going from a pre-LCI to LCI which I cover in this video.

I've been waiting for this video for ages, my e90 already had the m-tech package and it looked dope but I decided to go for the M4 style bumper, but the m-sport bumper really does make a huge difference 👍👍

Patient Zero I did buy an m3 hood but the bumper will still fit with the stock hood and fenders

So nice to see your Car being upgraded :) I had f30 for a while, but have decided to sell due to saving some more money. But after your videos started to think about e90 :D E90s are one of the best shapes. (My personal opinion) Looking forward for part two!

don't cut the tops off just incase you come across a lci hood at some. it will still work with the lci grills even though theres a weird gap where the hood and grill meet.
Honestly if you're going that far I'd just go ahead and buy the LCI hood as well. Would make it look a lot better imo

Looking good af! I'm also about to convert standard pre-lci front bumper to lci m-sport. As I saw in the end of the video, you also needed a engine splash shield. What about the fender liners? Can I keep original ones from the standard pre-lci version? Thanks in advance!

I would buy the M2 style bumper that I think comes for pre LCI too.now you got to change the hood too.and then the trunk and rear lights
If you're going to spend the time and money to make your car look like an LCI E90, why not just buy a new hood? It would solve a lot of these issues and temporary fixes. Nice channel, keep up the great work, from one E90 enthusiast to another.

Justin, I’m kind of a noob. I want to take my oem bumper off and put on a aftermarket m3 bumper! Do I just put it on and if it fits on that means it will fit/work? Or do I need to do other stuff like match up the screw holes and all that stuff to know if it can be mounted on car?
Looks way better with the M sport parts tho I think you should unchrome that line on top of the side windows. Keep the good job

There is a problem with the bumper you installed and the bumper showcased in the description. It is not the same bumper. The edges going from the center up are curved in on yours and straight on the one offered by kiesmotorsport! Where can I get the actual one you installed? Part number?

Doing this now, and the bumper cover is fitting very tightly against the crash support brace. Did you encounter this? The driver side marries up easily, but I have to pull pretty hard to get the passenger side fender bolts holes to line up. Is this normal?
Great video! I bought an M3 bumper for my E90 but it doesn’t have headlight washer holes while my car does have headlight washers. Can I either get rid of the headlight washers or do I need to cut holes on the aftermarket bumper for the washers? Plz lmk

Just temporarily zip tie the old grilles on and in future you could get a hood so the new grilles fit.
Just get the hood as well !

For grills get the double rib m sport grills for the e90 they look like the f series BMW grills but they fit on e92

Where did you get the splash shield from? I need to replace my front and passenger side splash shields and the BMW dealer here wants your first born for it.
Lol I just bought a cheap one on amazon. Hopefully it fits okay, but the way i see it, it will probably get messed up like the other one did so I didnt want to pay a BMW price for it

Nice video. It doesn't look like the LCI bumper is any different from Pre-LCI. Would Pre-LCI head lights fit on LCI models?
The shape of the light will fit, but im not sure if the connectors on the back are different

If I have a pre lci e90 and I bought a lci front bumper, would I also just need to buy new headlights? Cause even though the bumper I bought says 2007 328i bmw e90 sedan, which is what i have, but the bumper doesn't fit cause of the headlights. Can I just buy new headlights for the lci model and it'll be all good?

Curious why paint and not wrapped? Wouldn't wrapping be more cost effective and better turn a round time.
I’d rather have paint than wrap. I think it will be better if I ever sell the car so I don’t have to explain that the bumper is a different color under the wrap. And I already got the bumper back from being painted 😊 (this was filmed last week)

I just ordered a new splash guard too but they have sent me the one for the wagon version 2 times and I’m still waiting on them to send me the correct part. Interested to see a before and after of this!

Justin Buice a company called overdrive. I don’t usually buy bmw parts off eBay but it was a good deal and it’s just a piece of plastic so I thought it would be fine. They are sending me the correct part but it just has taken longer than it should have. I got 2 free wagon ones though if you know anyone who needs one for an e90 haha

What size emblems do I need to order to fit the vmr rims 19”.
Just wonderin what other peoples opinions are rn. So i hit a deer and got a non m sport bumper but now my headlights r all messed up i even replaced them and the mounts r fine so ive given up on the headlights. But not really. Thr inly time i need them is on my way home from work and there are a lot deer. Would it be a bad idea to mount some offroad lights in where the fog lights go? I dont care about the law says either. Could it look cool or should i just not even try haha

Velcro those kidneys in place. Would be unnoticeable. I've seen Vettes with similar mounting.
