    This is a really excellent interview. I don't really know who the interviewer is but she is extremely empathetic and well versed with the content she needs to put out.Maybe she's a bit of a film geek but it serves well for this kind of interview. Whats surprising is that, thought, Karan Johar had so much time to give to a One on One interview!

    Smooth talker, he does all the criticism that need to be made about him, himself. But an amazing director indeed.

    What an amazing interview. The interviewer has done a great job, revealing a hidden side of Karan's personality. Very well framed interview. Karan comes across as a mature, sensible man, answered questions truthfully. Loved it!

    Just came across this randomly... I am not a very big die hard Karan Johar fan.. But this was a really good interview. And a lot of stuff he said really made sense. The thing that he said about a movie like Sharada being made at this point of time and actually being successful without any controversy is so true !!

    This was a really great interview. The interviewer asked intelligent questions, and also gave Karan ample time to talk and express himself, which is something Karan Thapar and other interviewers today do not do.

    I have actually seen this fellow Karan grow up from a podgy, clumsy, awkward crybaby little kid to this big shot, iconic film maker.
    He was in my school in Bombay, Greenlawns High School on Breach Candy, but was almost 10 years my junior, in fact he was in Kindergarten when I passed out- I.C.S.E. (10th). But he was my kid sister's classmate and used to come home for her birthday party every year and I would go to his place to drop off my sister and pick her up on his birthdays.
    Years later in the mid 1990s, when as a doctor in the United States I delivered Anupama Chopra's (and Vidhu Vinod Chopra's) baby boy at the St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac (a Detroit suburb), Michigan, Anu mentioned his name and that's when I realized that this Karan Johar is the same kid Karan!! Although I don't know him personally, my sister and have kept in touch and talk on the phone from time to time...
    ...and talking of time, it sure does fly, and how....
    Jackson, MISSISSIPPI.

    • @perikaveera4438
      @perikaveera4438 10 лет назад +1

      Wassalaam. I dont have his number at this point but I will ask my sister in India. You may be able to get his number on his web site. I have been to Karachi in 1993 for my U.S. Medical Exams, loved the street life and street food, felt just like old Bombay. It was very safe back then, no bombs, no terrorists, etc. Was very peaceful.
      Khuda Hafiz.

    • @elianamalek1505
      @elianamalek1505 8 лет назад +2

      +perikaveera Its funny that your comment depicts how self obsessed you are. You turned something that was meant to be a comment on an interview into a short introduction of your inadequate and remote connections to some Bollywood artists perhaps for some claim to fame. Nobody wants to know if you live at Breach Candy / Malabar Hill and went to Greenlawns and delivered Anupama Chopras son who gave you a euphoric moment of realizing "that kid was Karan". Geez ! what a pile on ! You need some perspective.

    It it amazing, cant wait to see more from u guys. Can you do a similar one probably with Gulzar? Javed Akhtar? Don't know why I feel this platform can take out the best of them,
    Also can i get her email? Probably I can compliment her a little extensively there?

I guess that's the best part of the pairing abhishek and rani together,you think they are perfect for each other but yet the relationship is incomplete which happens in reality. great movie on complexity of emotions. one of my all time fav movie.

    I agree, this is THE best Karan Johar interview I have ever seen. He's always been a role model for me, i learn from the way he expresses himself and his honesty towards everything :) I've also learned that I'm a lot like him. Unfortunately becoming a director in Bollywood is something too far out of my reach. But I aspire to live my life like him, at the least :) thanks TBIP for this wonderful interview!

    Loved this interview. But I am sad when Karan says that the KKHH and K3G Karan does not exist anymore... And he also says they are so filmy. Well there is still a very large no of audience who dream of such fantasy worlds which can be made real if the effort is put into it. If you can put the effort and make that world real in your film, why can't the same happen in real life? K3G wasn't too filmy by any means. It was real. Its just that Karan has changed so much that he looks back and says "oh its filmy". But other than that, loved all that he spoke here... Enjoyed listening to it. A lot of it is true. P.s: We had a similar film in Tamil like Sharada, which is "Netrikann" starring Rajinikanth in a dual role.

    I am bit surprised to watch Karan speaking about his "emotional" journey of writer and pulling it off.
    Dear Karan, a casual talk in beatiful city like Newyork, during dinner with your friends made you to come up with "My Name is Khan". Hasn't attacks on Mumbai city moved to make an epic movie? I think you wanted to sell the idea of "Khan" story in western countries, hence you came up with the title and story behind making the cinema.
    I am sure you are shrewed business man.
