That is quite a laundry list of grievances! It's interesting to see how many words and legal terms have fallen out of use since the 13th century. I knew the French introduced a lot of our current legal language, but I had no idea!

Ugh, yeah, some of the words I had to double check, as they've changed or they mean something entirely different from their original meaning.

This reading was a good idea, but the plonking piano drove me away after 73 seconds.

I was 50/50 on putting music in, just to set a tone. But fair enough.

Pretty dark how they treat the vast majority of people as meaningless objects to be used... laws exist to control the flow of capital to specific status quo owners. This led to the degradation then and the extreme degradation we see now.

Yeah, there are only a few things in there for the average serf/peasant, so unless you're a baron or freeman, the charter wouldn't matter much to you. Then again, this charter failed as it started the first barons war.

@@Embracehistoria very fascinating. I’ve been doing a lot of research into human laws (law of the land [roman law] and commercial maritime law [the current crap over roman law for birth certificated citizens]). As far as I’ve seen the only stable law code is as explained by Jesus on the sermon on the mount (divine law). Basically no human judgements upon each other because we are blind to reality. Judge not lest ye be judged. Allow the gods to judge people as is natural.
It is perfectly fluid and stable in all eras and it is the natural human way. Criminal laws do not remove crime, they only make people more poor. Civil laws do not remove graft, they only make it easier.
In my opinion “government” should only establish suggested general standards (wall plugs), maintain stable money (logical clean money), and satisfy utility and food needs if the people need it. Income would come from currency creation and donations from the populace. No taxes, no military, no police, no jails, no bureaucracy, no costs really. Let men be men. And let the gods do what they do. No murderers live happy lives. No thieves are satisfied with themselves.
The USA for example is a cancerous tumor of illogical laws. I need to supply my drivers license, birth certificate, face pictures, and sign a billion things to send someone $25. Absolutely insane.

@@MastaMan88 Divine Law sounds a little too close to Anarchy for my liking and you sound Anarcho-adjacent; are you confessing as such?
