- Using Color Oops on my hair that i recently dyed black 2 months ago. this is similar to a previous video i did about 4ish years ago, but this time its with the new extra strength version of color oops. thanks so much for watching! comment with any questions and i'll try to answer you!
sorry about the audio cut off at the end.
i was blabbering anyway lol.
i left it on 10 minutes longer than directed on the box.
after rinsing i used a purple shampoo
before applying heat i used lots of got2b angel heat protectant
my hair came out to be undamaged. :)
your supposed to start at the ends of your hair and work your way up because the roots process quicker because of the heat from your scalp
Victoria Gardner your kinda right...you start at mid strand between where your new growth ends and 1/2 inch from your ends because they are porus and will process faster. Your newgrowth will process fastest because it is close to the scalp and body heat makes some type of product process faster
This product does not touch lift your natural color 😀
when you use thia product, make sure you wash your hair for as long as possible. tbe more scrubbing you do to the dyed areas the better because the rinsing will actually remove the color from your hair. so scrub scrub scrub!.....carefully haha
I used color oops back in February 2019 (it is not May 2019) and for ME it stripped literally all the color out. Now I'm back to my natural color the only thing I've noticed was it seemed to have stunt my hair growth. My hair has always grown very fast but after using color oops my hair has not grown very much since!
This stuff works but it left my hair with a foul smell for a week. anyway, I started growing out my natural grey hair for 3 years. I stopped using permanent hair color and switched to semi permanent with new growth along the way, trimming my ends. I used Color oops to get the semi permanent out and it worked perfectly. I'd recommend doing on a weekend to give yourself time to get that smell out. using vinegar and water rinse helped. It an also dry out your hAir, so be prepared to really deep condition it.
Did you follow the rinsing steps that's very important for better results
I'm hooked on color oops I love it even those it smells I rather this then bleach
I love color oops I've been using it for a quit while now . First time I used color oops I had black hair and I was amazed it took of the black completely and turned a brown color witch I dyed bold red now that I want to go blonde I used color opps again and it took of the red/burgundy and turned golden blonde!!! I recommend color oops😊👍
Hi(:
I have dyed my hair so many times I cant count! I have gone a burgundy, I have gone blonde I have gone black, dark brown, all the colours under the sun! hahaha but I am currently dark brown and all I want is for my natural hair color back which is a light brown. do you think this will work?
Quite a while which....
Erika Novoa where can I buy color oops
I have dyed black hair. It took the color off the crown but no where else. I do love the reddish color it turned that part. I'm going to get another box
@Veronica Martinez it never took any more of the color off. Would only remove the color from the crown. So I just have to let the black grow out then cut it. It's def not for hair that had been dyed alot.
I used Color Oops to get rid of red to my natural blond, and it worked _wonders_ ! The only downside is that it smells really bad, though the product was _definitely_ a yes from me! 👍
lιlу мαяιє how close was it to your natural color? I dyed my hair a red from a very dirty blonde and I want to go back to my original. Did your hair look almost exactly the same as your original??
Camille Jancosek It was still a little red, but that's because it will never completely get it out of your hair. It's looking really good, so if you do this, just a reminder that you'll have to grow your hair out bit! If you have anymore questions just ask, I'm sure to help!
was your red permanent dye? because i want to try this but i used permanent dye
Lol I agree with the smell😅
I've noticed it seemed to have stunt my hair growth a bit.
It still grows just not as fast
Never start from the top hun, thats your only mistake . Do it again starting from the back of Your head and apply starting from the ends then the roots last and it will even out and all be 1 color .
color oops really works wonders with no damage 👈 I went from red to blonde in 20 min
SAME! I was dying my hair blue black for like a good yr or so. let my roots grow out a lot. and then I used loreal hicolor hilights with 30 developer... my hair is half bright red and half black -_- so I'm going to try this !
greensmurf521 did you try it out? And if so did it work? I literally have the same situation with my hair right now and my hair is down to my butt.. half black hair and the roots are a bright red smhh
Lmao me too i did this yeaterday
Did it work??
This product is not recommended for blue or metallic colors .
I used 2 boxes, extra strength to remove boxed black dye. it did not remove the black from the back and sides at all. Only at the top and I started at the bottom! Just sayin. So I am gonna try the Pravana color extractor next. It is just so expensive to do color correction in a salon.
My natural hair colour is golden blonde/brown (don't know if that makes any difference), and I've been dying my hair black every month/every second month for a year and a half now (deep black, lately I've been using dark brown, but you know.. it still turns out black because there's so much dye left in my hair) and I really want to try either Color Oops or Color B4, but I'm nervous about the results... How do you think my hair would turn out? Should I use any hair treatment? And my hair is kind of long, so is one box enough? My hair is like 45-50 cm.. Also, how long do I have to wait until I can dye my hair again? In a different colour of course, a lighter colour, like natural brown or something. Do I have to do anything special before I dye my hair again?
I would really appreciate it if you could help me out here ^^ :P Thanks :)) Btw your hair turned out really nice :)
the reason you heard about to start at the back because it's because the oils in the back of your head collect more from sleeping and just not being exposed like the other parts of your head.. :) an explanation for yew! awesome video!!! you're a total babe
I previously had blonde hair and I wanted to go back to my brown hair. I purchased loreal ash brown dye and it turned my hair black! I want to go back brown and get rid of this black. would you suggest this?
Ashley Brown o my gosh same thing happened me
i just used this stuff last night on dyed black hair and i have naturally light brown hair and it made my roots orange-yellow and the rest of my hair a brownish tint :-/ but it actually looks kind of cool ,,, until my roots start growing out
color oops doesn't lighten or lift your hair it opens your hair shafts so the color molecules can get washed out of your hair.
Bunny does it help with the damage in a sense? Like help with the frizz from damage?
I used color oops February 2019 and it literally stripped all the color out of my hair and left me with my natural color it is now May still zero change in my hair color so I KNOW it's natural lol the only negative thing I've really noticed was it seems to have stunted my hair growth. My hair has always grown very fast but after using it my hair has not grown very much. (Still growing just not as fast as it used to)
@@Mandapanda. It left the over all condition of hair hair ALOT better. Not dry or frizzy.
Color oops is the best product to remove hair color. I use the blue box though and it does not smell bad at all. Cost $9 at Walmart. I have used it many times and does not damage your hair.
Thanks! i just recently did another video to remove my black dye. you should check it out. I used CPR by Malibu!
I wish parting curly hair was that easy and quick 😠
LOL. Why do people with curly hair want straight hair, and people with straight hair want curly hair? I would LOVE to have wavy or curly hair. 😠
Hello, I have a quick question!! I am trying to remove/fade my black hair dye off!! Any suggestions on any products or remedies other than this video??? I've heard of some but not so sure if they are legit. Thank you 🙆🏻💛
Thank you for these videos :) very helpful! Question about your previous one. What did you do to bleach your hair after you did this color oops?
Paige Bierce i went to sallys and bought the powder bleach in the blue packets and a 30 volume developer, did it twice.
I think you are getting hot roots (lighter roots) because using a hair cap concentrates more heat at your scalp. Try it without a cap next time and you might get more even colors.
oh my goodness I LOVE your dark hair! I haven't seen the end result yet, but please know you look great with dark hair. I just had mine colored dark and it looks horrible against my pale skin. :(
Such a great vid, really helped me be a lot less scared of using this, thanks!
+Kristen good!!!!
Yes, thank you.
Does it need to be applied to clean hair? Or can you have left over hairspray in your hair when you go to apply color oops?
did it return your hair to its regular color or was your natural hair really dark and it made yours lighter
Mariam S. color oops only removes artificial color, it doesn't lighten your natural color
Mariam S. if you want lighter hair use Shiny Silver shampoo. It's purple and lightens color
silver shampoo is to get the brassy tones out of hair that is already light, it won't help to lighten your air. it's a toning shampoo
Mariam S.
It will remove the artificial color and return your hair to the color it is at that moment.
You have to understand that most box dyes have a lightener in it.
So if you have natural black hair and you dyed it like a dark auburn color...the box dye will lighten your black hair so that the auburn color shows up.
So if you remove the auburn color, the hair underneath is no longer black.
what skin products do you use your skin is flawless if you don't mind letting me know. N the hair looks great I'm trying it tonight I'll let you know how it goes
I used dermalogica. 😊
May i ask what the name of the red dye was you mentioned that you tried to use previously? i'm thing of dying my hair but i don't want to use bleach.
Thanks I'm totally going to try this! by the way you're so freakin gorgeous :)
For anyone wondering this doesn't work on semi-permanent/direct dyes. Dyes like Manic Panic that are super bright like pink, green or blue.
+Amanda “disney1nickjluvr45” Murray does it work on ammonia free dyes? do you know?
Antzy Antzaki I don't know, sorry!
+Amanda “disney1nickjluvr45” Murray Not true, I had Adore emerald and it was bright, I used this today and you can't even tell I had it in my hair.
I had a blue teal dye in my hair similar to directions or manic panic and it was a little harder to get out with color oops but it still managed to get the color almost completely gone. There were still some green and yellow tints but I got rid of them with a blonde box dye and my hair was back to natural looking blonde
Bro thank you! Thats the exact color I have that i'm trying to get out. lmao
So my natural hair colour is black and I want to go a dark brown colour (3 ish). The thing is I've already dyed my hair to a light brown colour in a 2-step process - bleached it and then dyed it to a very light/ praline brown colour.
After a month I dyed it a dark brown (3) colour and while it was meant to be permanent, it slowly faded within two months. Now I am still stuck with my light/praline brown hair.
Any explanations as to why it faded (despite being "permanant" hair dye), and any tips on how to make sure it stays dark brown this time? Thanks a million !!!
It will continue to fade to the lighter shade because you bleached it. Try Overtone conditioner in their brown or make your own conditioner mixed with the brown dye you want.
How are yo supposed to do thee shampoo process? Do you shampoo on top of the Color oops then rinse? What are you supposed to do?
Okay so my hair has been platinum blonde, red, brown, and black but it's naturally a dirty blonde. If I use this to take out my black what will the color outcome be since I've previously bleached my hair? Also would it still work even though my black isn't fresh my hair has been black for about 6 months
I want to get an all over color, but have two different boxed dyes in. should I use coloroops before going to the salon or just have them remove the color? please help.
Will any hair colour remover remove your actual hair color like bleach it or will it just take out the hair dye cause my natural hair cold or is medium brown and I died it black but I don’t like it
I bleached my hair blonde professionally balayage then used red box die over top then black over top of the red. If I use colour oops what colour will my hair turn?
Dumb question but I have bleached blonde hair that I recently dyed grey. If I use this will it go back to my blonde????
I did the same so right now I am letting the product sit in my hair and so far its doing good.
i have died my hair black for a bit now and im kinda bored of it, does this product take out all the black and restore your hair to its natural colour???? (my natural hair colour is a dark/light brown)
This product is usually meant to bring your hair to a light enough color to redye it to a new color :-) So I wouldn't 100% trust it to bring it back to your natural color.
I been wanting to take out the black dye but I really have long hair up to my waist how many bottle you think I need ? Because when I dye my hair I use four dye boxes
Will my hair return to my natural hair color if I dye it black then use color oops to remove it ?
Hi, your vid was so helpful and I did try the Oops and it worked great. just wondering if you used a color filler afterward and what it was as I'm having hard time finding one online. thanks so much!!
Sorry, I didn't use one.
OMG i dyed my hair blue black same as you and I kept it for 4 months. I had like 2 inch brown regrowth and want to change it to red. And now my roots are red and the rest of my hair is black. It is the exact same that happened to you.
Hello, just confirming... this will take my hair to its natural color ? thank you !
Yes it only takes out artificial color it doesn't lighten or anything I've used this
but wouldn't the dye developer have lightened your hair depending on the volume?
yes, I did this and it turned my hair orange/blonde, when I thought it would take my hair to its natural color.
Laura Blair
Laura Blair no, it only removes surface color, and you are left with whatever shade you lightened to
whats the difference from the 3 or 2 removers? one is gold ones red and the other im not sure.
Will color oops work on splat brand dyes? Im considering doing some of my hair pink but if i dont like it i would use color oops, would it work??
It will not remove splat hair dyes.
Hi! you spoke of a product in the video that you add to hair dye to change the color that only worked on your Virgin hair, what is it called?
it processes faster in the top route section because the heat of your hair follicles pushes the dye to go quicker
I have dyed the tips of my hair and want to go back to my natural dark dark almost black hair. Would this still work?
geraldine nieto it tends to lighten natural hair. so im not sure.
This didnt take my hair color out! I did it last night following all directions. It said after letting it sit 20 mins. to wash my hair with shampoo until desired look was achieved and after the 15th wash i had had enough washing! I still have blue 30 day wash out hair color in my hair and the permanent i had on there before i did the blue, its still there. The best way to describe the smell of this after applied is a heavy strong sulfur smell. I am going to buy a different brand today, fingers crossed!
Kacie Lee this does not work on blues or crazy colors
Is this very damaging to the hair? I've heard its less damaging than a stripper.
My hair is naturally dark brown and I dyed it back a few months ago. Will this turn it back to dark brown? I'm thinking of going to a magenta color but I don't want to color over it so that the color won't come out weird ...
*black a few months ago
Color oops doesn't work color fix is better for black hair
you have officially sold me on this. i had my hair dyed black in March. Will this still work?
Did it work????
I tryed this before bleaching my hair. Best decision ever. If I were to bleach the black out to this result it would of been just a lvl or two lighter. No where near this color. Very glad I did this in the pass too before I actually bleach.
If you leave color oops mixed together over night does it go bad?
yes.
If i bleached my hair and had it blonde for a while then dyed it black and use color oops to remove the black what color will my hair be??? my natural brown or blonde??? since it's bleached
100% Orange carot
Same thing with my hair... these comments are disappointing
I just had platinum silver blonde and thru a demi permanent darkest brown argan oil brand had it for 3 weeks and I just used 2 box of color oops but it didn’t turned my hair orange made it like a chocolate light brown 😭😭😭
Did you ever find out??
The heat from your scalp causes the product to process faster. You are right to start 2 inches from the scalp.
you look very nice with black hair!!
It is not the top of your hair that processes faster but the roots because your head gives off head and it processes faster.
Wow, the results tho. Her hair was shiny and pretty in color
Does it take it back to ur natural hair color?
Was The color that you were removing box dye?
So if I use this on my hair it can go back to its natural color?
Hey where did you get your necklace from! Super cute
Does this damage your hair
At the end, was that your natural color?
I saw you did two videos. one with oops and one with color fix. which one do you think worked better?
You're not supposed to blow dry it, the heat reactivates the old hair dye.
what??? sorry.... but no this is not true
NO.... blow drying hair is not going to make your hair spontaneously change colors.
Christy E everyone's hair is different, I've seen other people blow dry afterwards with no issues, you're actually the first I've heard that happen to.
Ford Girl if you not suppose to blow dry it thwn what are you suppose to do ? Are you saying after the 1st time dont blow dry or ever blow your hair again ?
I'm sure they would put that on the box if it was true.
- My Hair Was Bleached Blonde and I Decided to Dye The roots Jet Black and Accidentally Dyed My Whole Head Jet Black.. Would This Take My Hair Back to Blonde ?
It would take it to your original hair color.
anything that was bleached hair can not return to your natural hair color it will simply just be the bleached blonde under whatever hair color you remove however removing black hair may leave your hair an orange color
+christy phengsavath can you color the hair after? I heard that it will go back dark again ?
lmao how did u dye your whole head black on accident XDDD
My hair color right now it's brown but my real hair color is black the black routs are already coming back and I'm wondering if this product would bring my natural hair color back(black) and thank you
Diana Diab it would not, color oops has peroxide you would get orangy or light brown. your best bet is to dye it black with a dark black box dye
My new hairdresser is gonna fix me now
Can you bleach and dye your hair after color oops?
I was blonde dyed it black used color remover and now its red tints so mad. Dont know what else to do.
I have bleached hair that I dyed blue. I had wanted black hair after so I just dyed black over it.... sounds dumb, sorry. but if I use this will it go back to the bleached or blue? or will it make my hair orange?
Murdershy666 did you try it????
Did you try this??
I'm pretty sure it will take it back to blonde but a little orange try a bleach bath conditioner mixed with conditioner for 10 mins or a toner
I did this exact thing. I bleached my hair to achieve a blue, then later on dyed over it with a brown, then a black. Overtop the black I added another blue dye to achieve a blue tint, which didn't work. Eventually I wanted to get rid of the black because my lighter roots were showing and it was not pretty. After using color oops, my hair was a green, black, orange, blonde mess. I don't blame the color oops, I just know I had way too many layers of hair dye. I resorted in just chopping all of my hair off as it was damaged beyond repair. (that was over a year ago and my hair had grown back to it's original state)
hair on top of head processes faster because of body heat
dose it kill your hair the way bleach dose?
No, but products like Color Zap will. It's like a bleach but a little less harsh. All Color Oops does is open the cuticles in your hair & shrink the color molecules from the dye. & you wash it out of your hair for like 20-30 minutes or something like that.
Is that your natural hair color, the after picture?
What brand is that red!! does it work in dark hair?? Thanks
+stephanie barra this is the result of stripping out the black from my hair. i didnt deposit any color! :) cool huh?
Idk the way she described the dye makes me thinks it's L'oreal HI COLOR HILIGHTS.
You are very pretty..
will this take me back to my natural color
did u use one or two boxes ?
Awesome. Love it !!! What a beauty.
I just used this on my black dyed hair it did nothing 😭it sucks for black I used it before with brown and red it worked great but not with black
how bad does it dry your hair
A little. Just condition realllly well. Use a good deep conditioning treatment
How long will I take to get to that color?
Is it safe? Will it damage my hair?
does this fry your hair?? I wanna get my hair back to a somewhat even wish natural color but I don't want to fry the crap out of my hair
Color oops doesn't contain bleach or ammonia so it doesn't damage the hair.
how many bottles did u use?
I love your results!
Lovely love the color what is the name
What happened to the end of the video?
can you use it twice in two days
you can use 4x before damage
Vhje
kdddunn a day? Or u mean overall
May I ask what color is your hair naturally ?
maritza sullivan dark dark brown, almost black.
So I've been dying my hair red over a year now and I'm naturally blonde will this remove all the red
sarah pls No, it will not remove the red completely. Red undertones being the hardest to remove, even more so than black. I've done the same, hoping it would remove the red tint, but it will only strip the color far enough to cause a sort of "brassy orange" correction. However, you could attempt to contact a stylist in your area after and they may be able to remove the remaining color. Going back blonde will be a process.
cheyenne deel after i use color oops and my hair is left brassy can I use a blonde box color on my hair
i wouldn't recommend using box dye... it can tend to be very splotchy and uneven. if you go to a salon for an all over color, they'll be able to mix up a color to counteract that brass and leave you with an even color. if you haven't use color oops yet, you might see about a salon removing the color for you. there have been a couple new products out that salons are using to remove color and have had amazing results. :)
I just recently used color oops, my hair was really bright red at the top and faded by the ends to a blonde ish pink color, so now the top of my head is yellow and I still have some light red in there but a majority of it came out. I am a natural blonde as well and am trying to get my hair back to its natural color. I myself am considering going to see someone but I can't afford that at the moment. Wondering if I use purple shampoo if it'd help with the brassiness
I found this video trying to get rid of black hair bc I did the same thing with the dye to change your hair from black and now have bright orange roots and thought the only thing I could do is dye it re black and am tired of black.
What is the red dye u used
Will it always turn hair a redish color?
Britt Sings most of the time it does
does this damage your hair at all?
no just dries it a little
Did the vid cut off mid sentence? 👎
About how much is the color oops stuff?
It cost 10 bucks where I live which is Florida
I'm always searching for new ways to fix my hair. Much gratitute for making your videos.
Peace,
Yasmin
