It's rubbish that Japanese folklore is in the Korean based village until the Metalmuncher appears. I don't know what is it but it hits me hard. Metalmuncher is based on a 100% Korean folklore creature, Bulgasari (불가사리). This creature eats anything metal and grows overtime.

Previously I guess because she accidently step the rope causing the ghost came out，but when Okchun mentioned she just went up because the ghosts
meaning the ghosts already invaded the village before Okchun went up
So here my guess，the ghost who possessed Okchun is another big ghosts from the mirror and start using Okchun identity to cause chaos（that why the blood moon showed up），so when the ghosts make more ghosts snd let Okchun herself think Okchun should find Gim just to prevent Gim will kill the ghost in the mirror？

Spoiler Alert
We all known that Okchun Cookie is controlled by ghosts，but did you guys noticed the ghost who controlled Okchun not keep controlling her all the time but some period which meant her consciousness keep clear but she dont really know what happening and her situation is worsen as time goes
Which can assumes the ghost who possessed want to getting rid of Gim, but why the ghost controlling Okchun to get nearby and keep let Okchun find Gim afterall, I believe the ghost want know how powerful Gim is and try to learn his weakness, while using Okchun identity to drop awareness of Gim.
There is someone part showing Okchun is fine by herself（and absolutely not possessed during that time）：
3:06 Okchun is willing challenge the mountian solo by herself just to find gim to save the village regretless since this is the callback at 0:24, and we believe she still not been haunted by any ghosts before she accidently step the scared red rope which is the seal
5:38 Based on the dialogue and what Gim recalled, we can noticed the ghosts possessing and Okchun's mind is separated but not fully possessed Okchun yet, since she mentioning she will go to market and check the presence of ghosts, but when the ghost get control Okchun to nearby Gim to stop him, or more likely learn his movesets so the ghost able to learn his weakness, which shown in later stories
6:48 This proved further the ghost is able to switch mind between its and Okchun's, since the ghosts don't recalled why there is a mice in the village but when the mice saying "You don't remember me", the ghosts suddenly clear Okchun's mind to learn the mouse's story. Hence, based on the sprite, we can easily noticed who is charged of Okchun's mind
Somehow, her mind is slightly affected by the ghosts more and more and make some thoughts she brought is blurred so the ghosts is safe from Okchun's shadow
0:30 She said she will noticed that she step the scared rope but she didn't when she met Gim，although we basically assumed she already been possessed so she won't talk，but what else the ghosts just wipe the rope accident from Okchun’s mind so she won't recalled
2:10 Since this is the first time we noticed Okchun is not normal besides Gim mentioned he sensed ghosts‘ presence from Okchun，but based on the final part of the story there is something the ghosts planning but we not sure yet
3:21 Okchun won't noticed the ghosts while Gim mentioned he made fake ghosts based talisman，may be the moment she been haunted by the ghosts so she won't noticed the ghosts while the ghosts make her lied saying she just ignore them by the determination
6:25 Okchun is the one who came up the idea to disguise into farmers, but now she more affected by the ghosts' minds because this is not what Okchun initial thoughts.
15:44 Since the blood moon still there, we can said that Okchun own minds is fully shut down by the ghosts for now, since the ghost cannot do anything for Gim and it will find a new chance to strike back while the ghosts army still there.
