I'm moving to Philly! Let's apartment hunt for a new home to live in, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is technically a part two (completely different month) to a moving vlog I posted a little while ago. If you want more apartment hunting tours and commentary vlogs, let me know, but in the meantime, you can find that first one on my channel :) In this vlog, we go to Philadelphia from New York City to try and scope out different neighborhoods, see totally different apartments than we have before; some outside of the city, some directly in. We chat through the whole process and even run into some trouble in the reality department of the stresses that come with trying to move into a new place. That first place is Alden park. Yes they are extremely nasty. I had a bad experience with their team as well.
Exactly!! They were so mean and awful - I still to this day talk about them!
I toured Alden Park back in July, fell in love with it, but management was absolutely disgusting towards me and when I inquired more about the apartment they stopped responding to me 🙃
I later found out from a news report (and a review on the apartment) that something traumatic happened to a staff member on site, and that management didn’t even inform tenants of the situation.
Woahhhhh🥲🥲 insane! Crazy similar experience I couldn’t believe how mean, unprofessional, and blatantly rude they were! Thats wild - sorry you also shared in that ): hope you found a place!
That's not outside the city, that historic place is in the Germantown a section of Philly uptown.

I looked into that first place too a few years ago, and all the reviews are just like "Stay Away" and "DO NOT MOVE HERE"

This would be helpful if you actually named the places you went, even if it was just the positive ones. At least i recognized the first apt. building. And i think you mean convent.
I don’t want to because that’s rather odd having strangers knowing your exact whereabouts and where you loved/potentially might live/are interested in!
@@biancaellob i can understand that but when you do pick a place, maybe consider naming some of the other buildings/neighborhoods. I have been 45 min outside the city for about 17 years and lived in Philly before that. My lease is up Aug 1st and I have had the hardest time finding what I want b/c I don’t know all the different neighborhoods anymore. I’m looking for somewhere walkable, with positive things to do around me and friendly people that are not college kids or people who are constantly talking about their kids; creative artistic people i can bet along with. And I have an ok amount for a 2br/1.5+ ba (not enough yo live at the alta or anything but a decent amount. Got a guy from caldwell and he just showed us $1500 apts in roxborough but no where near the park. I went on a tour of the building my parents lived in when they first moved here… in 1978. I would love to live in Logan Circle (square?), Old City, Nolibs, by the water or the park as long as it’s safe and not above a bar. I might even go for W Park W if I can afford it. I’m kind of leery of Fishtown unless it has changed from 7-8 years ago. I would even consider Mount Airy. But I can’t find a thing. I am getting to the point where I’m going to have to pay $20k+ to be in the burbs for another year and that’s not right i don’t think…. Btw if you feel like helping a girl out, you can check i am me and dm me if you have a couple min. I would be forever in your debt and so invite you to the apt warming. @FerventlyChilled
Just in a rough spot. My bff was hit by aa stolen suv in brewerytown as a pedestrian and since then ive been super cautious of different neighborhoods. My partner is a chef who just came from Cape Cod and knows literally no one here. I do but they’re all married, kids, burbs.
