  • A detailed comparison of the 2020 Lincoln Corsair Interior vs the 2019 Lincoln MKC Interior.
If you’re a shopper checking out both of these luxury SUV's, or maybe a Lincoln MKC owner looking to upgrade to the Lincoln Corsair, I’m about to show you one of the key areas where these machines are very different from one another-- the interior.
In the past 9 months or so I’ve spent about a week driving each of these two models and filming them, and so I’ve tried to line these interior shots up back to back to give you a real useful comparison of the finer details and trimmings and interfaces of the cabins. You’ll notice probably, how the Lincoln MKC looks unique and sort of stands out as something different but that the Corsair fully deploys every interior design touch up Lincoln’s sleeve and to me, really just blows its predecessor out of the water.

The 2020 interior does not look as fluid as the 2019. I think they tried to hard to give the interior feel of Aviator to the Corsair which I think they could have accomplished if they had changed the overall exterior design of the Corsair to feel like a smaller version of the Aviator. Conversely I think the interior 2019 MKC will not age well relative to how the 2020 Corsair feels more consistent with the future design language of Lincoln which is really creating interior car experiences that feel familiar to other environments we interact in like sitting in our favorite chair at home or the polish a table or desk we use at home for other very personal experience. The console in the 2020 Corsair feels somewhat like a tabletop where one might place a delicate and special piece of jewelry or a fragrance bottle that we reach to as part of a daily wardrobe requirement. My best suggestion would be to fix the shape of the Corsair so that it feels almost identical to asthetics of the Aviator or even the upcoming 2024 Nautilus and then I think the Lincoln’s SUV lineup would feel more cohesive. Right now the Corsair is really the design outliner; at least from the perspective of it’s exterior design language. Until then I think the 2019 MKC has maybe slight edge over the 2020 Corsair.

Got a 2021 Corsair Standard trim and l love it! The Standard trim with 101A exterior looks better with its two tone 18" rims with meaty sidewalls, nicer grill design, and contrasting dark undercladding compared to the overpriced Reserve trim. As far as the interior zonks, they seem to have deleted the tilt down rear headrests for 2021 and I am not a fan of the fake nonfunctional horizontal passenger side "vent" across the dash. Would have preferred soft touch leather wrap or a mini second glove box instead. Luxury cars shouldn't have any fake features.

The 2020 interior is just not cutting it with me not by a long shot. Nothing looks integrated. Everything looks patched on and not even well. The dash looks too truck like and not luxury. Lincoln really went the wrong way with the interior styling taking too many design queues from Tesla or something which are not great. I have the 2017 MKC and it looks and handles much better on my test drives of the Corsair I had for a service loaner for a couple weeks. That glossy finish in the interior shows finger prints too much. It's a shame because I wanted to love the new models.

Would you say the Corsair has more rear leg room then the Mkc or is it the same?

It's marginal at best. I own a 2015 MKC 2.0 AWD and test drove a Corsair didn't care for it. I think the 2019 MKC is the nicest looking with the new grille, headlight and tail light design. Much better then the Corsair in my honest opinion.

Tomtalker2000 Lincoln is saving it’s brand getting away from stale up-badged Fords like the MKC. Don’t know why anyone would think that looks better but whatever does it for you I guess.
