I had a friend who loved Black Ops 2 multiplayer so much. He died by suicide back in 2021, and every time I return to this game I get this gut wrenching feeling playing or hearing this song. The memories of not only this game but him as well are sincere. Thank you Travis for the memories you gave me with Black Ops 2. I love and miss you.

I played it a ton for it’s active phase. I jumped back into it on PS3 around 2017 for a while. Unfortunately it was really hard to find domination matches. I still find it to be the best multiplayer COD game every released.

Exactly the same for me was born in 2000. The only other multiplayer fps game that really engrossed me after as black ops 2 did is overwatch. This is coming from someones who's basically played every single low key and triple A fps.
I remember I never really played Bo 2 truly in "online" mode, always with bots, my Xbox 360 couldn't connect to the Live so, well, I had to get by somehow. But even with bots, man, those were one of the best times of my life, playing it with my 3 cousins on split-screen, by myself, I miss those days, who doesn't?

Many people think of multiplayer when hearing this, but there was nothing more badass than jumping out of the plane and hearing this in the backround while everything around you explodes.
This game is an example of a perfect game. Awesome Campaign with multiple endings, probably the best Multiplayer of all time, super fun Zombies and amazing Soundtrack.

Ahh yes, when dubstep invaded all sectors of life. Such a sick, hype version of a COD score with elements from hip hop, rock, and the lovely dubby noises. This theme fit the time period too well

We where just a happy kid playing a game, without caring about life or anything else. Life used to be more easy, so many memories, you dont know how much you love something until you lost it. Gunplay was great, nothing was Truly overpowered. Maps were AWESOME, there was no real camping issue. The only issue was the player base, but like fine wine it solved itself, and even improved. Makes me sad to see a franchise like this get milked to its core. Lets be real though screw knifing in that game

I used to play back in the black ops days. I still remember the Paris map speculation and Moon hype. Then the MW3 teasers with the whole WW3 MW3. Then the Black ops 2 teasers with the cordis die stuff and the eventual multiplayer reveal.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was an excellent game with a top-notch multiplayer and league play experience. It was definitely one of the best Call of Duty games ever made. The gameplay was fast-paced and intense, and the maps and modes were great.
Don't oversell it. BO2 used a dated engine in comparison to MW2 and MW3. However what it had was excellent maps and weapon balance and killstreaks. The sound was poor.

This game is an example of a perfect game. Awesome Campaign with multiple endings, probably the best Multiplayer of all time, super fun Zombies and amazing Soundtrack.

I was 13 when I started playing this game. Now I'm 20 and I still play, but its not the same thing. Damn... time goes fast. We where just a happy kid playing a game, without caring about life or anything else. Life used to be more easy, so many memories, you dont know how much you love something until you lost it. I miss my friends, I miss this days.
Gunplay was great, nothing was Truly overpowered. Maps were AWESOME, there was no real camping issue. The only issue was the player base, but like fine wine it solved itself, and even improved.
Makes me sad to see a franchise like this get milked to its core.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was an excellent game with a top-notch multiplayer and league play experience. It was definitely one of the best Call of Duty games ever made. The gameplay was fast-paced and intense, and the maps and modes were great.
Don't oversell it. BO2 used a dated engine in comparison to MW2 and MW3. However what it had was excellent maps and weapon balance and killstreaks. The sound was poor.
