Hey Chris not trying to tell you what to do brother by no means but my company has one of those machines but a whole lot bigger when you get started like that and your material is damp let your feeder been run out and then run about two or three buckets of that gravel through it and that gravel will beat the screens out and clean them out and that’s what I do and I don’t have to climb up and down off of that machine beating those screens out
looking good, alot of double handling, if your going to be doing this all the time, maybe a feed bin with a screen for oversize and either a secondary belt for moving finished product or form a concrete pad and build a big concrete walled bin for the stuff you don't want contaminated
Beautiful screener, Shake unto me Topsoil and gravel Are awaiting thee Sounds of the rude world Heard in the day Led by the moonlight Have all passed away Beautiful sceener, Machine of my song List' while I feed thee Composted Sawdust Gone are the cares of Life's busy throng Beautiful screener Shake unto me Beautiful screener, Shake unto me
You look much more natural in that backhoe than the farm tractor! I like getting to see the backhoe work as I have a 310SE that is nearly just like it. Hard to believe the E series backhoes are over 20 years old now! Nice video feature for the ole girl!
That looks like some good stuff. I bought some yard mulch and top soil from the "blue" home hardware store shortly after the big ice storm of Feb. 2014. It was nothing but storm debris that had been run through a wood chipper with no more than a handful of soil. Never went back. If I ever do they will open the bag before I pay for it.
Those big box places, blue or orange, sell crap materials. I go to local small guys. Better stuff, great service. And not a lot more, if so, expensive.
When you started the first day I did not realize you were at the saw mill. Real cool nice soil. Test a sample see what's in it. Great way to stop the loader from sinking.
My father in law.... Need to drop my truck off to you, A/C isn’t working. OK, drop it off I get in it, test drive it and front wheel bearing is out, check engine light. Replace wheel bearing, needs brakes, do that. Tie rod ends needed replaced and check valves for air pump fixed the engine light. Replaced high pressure Freon switch. Father in law picks up truck, I ask he he noticed the front end was sloppy, sounded like a 747 taking off. He said he didn’t, only noticed a/c wasn’t working.
Hey mate. Why don't you keep your eye out at the auctions for a telehandler? You could set it up right underneath the fines discharge and use it to convey the soil up to your stockpile away from the screener. They are pretty useful and adjustable in height so you can have different height stockpiles and actually place them very close to each other. That would save a lot of time using the backhoe to make the stockpiles. If you got one at an auction for a bargain, it would be very beneficial for this set-up....
Fun if you don't want to keep your kidneys. They are made to trench, anything else is secondary. Even on road with a follow vehicle, 15 to 20 mph and they bounce when they hit anything. In rough terrain, they are bone jarring. JCBs are a bit better in rough ground but we see them in the NE more than down South.
Looks can be deceiving. on the video it just didn't look like there was anywhere near that much soil in that pile. Crazy. I like watching screens work. Nice video!
Hell Yeah Man !! Coming right along, Looks like your getting a lot of nice soil out !!Alright Chris , when ya gonna bite the Bullet and get ya one ??? Alright Man , Have a Great Evening.... Stay Safe !!
Would it be of any benefit to add a scoop or two of the sawdust to the finished dirt? I know I add it to my compost bin to help break up the soil a bit, along with some sand.
Chris, is this for the family company, friends, or a side job selling stuff? I dont think you've told us why you are doing all this screening of dirt. It is fun to watch though!
I don't know anything about this but if you occasionally let the dirt clear and then put through a couple of buckets of tailings, would that help keep the screen clear?
He could but it would be loose piles that you would still haft to use a machine to push it up. Professional top soil places have some pretty efficient set ups going. My local top soil place runs very fast with just one wheel loader and a couple conveyor belts.
Why not park a dump truck under the belt where the good dirt comes out? Seems it would be easier than moving it with the backhoe. Just curious. Love your videos. Very relaxing. Not an expert, but have operated a lot of diferent equipment over the years.
Now, I am not generally a person to point out another person's foibles, but ain't you the one who pushed that pile up with the dozer last year? Nice to see Justin, man, that guy talks a mile a minute sometimes, just not this time. I like those speed holes in his dump bed too, lets him put an extra 100 pounds of gravel in the truck too.
What would you use those big screenings for (all the rubble, i mean) normally? Some sort of fill? Or would it just get dumped somewhere? Thanks for the great vids as always, Chris.
I've wondered too. I wonder if a wet tank that has a conveyer feeding off the bottom for rock and top for wood could work. I'm not even sure if that type is made. Probably far more economical to just use it as fill.
That screen Chris is a wasteoftimeandfuel loamy damptopsoil is just going over the screens and equal amounts of gravel is in the finished product as when it started might be oks red I got sand on the each providing its dry lol
Why dont you have the belt deliver the finished product into one of those dump trucks. You could then do without the backhoe and end up with more product.
i feel like i should know this, but this saw mill you're working at from time to time. who does that belong to? enjoying the screen content by the way.
tons of trips through what is going to be a mud hole, should think about putting some rock down to stabilize the path, also might make it less bouncy for the driver
Hey Chris not trying to tell you what to do brother by no means but my company has one of those machines but a whole lot bigger when you get started like that and your material is damp let your feeder been run out and then run about two or three buckets of that gravel through it and that gravel will beat the screens out and clean them out and that’s what I do and I don’t have to climb up and down off of that machine beating those screens out
Yeah I've tried that as well, this stuff it just sticky!
Love watching recovery of useful material. Too bad you don't have a dump truck to park under the 'good' conveyor.
JimPeachley to bad u can get full buckets
looking good, alot of double handling, if your going to be doing this all the time, maybe a feed bin with a screen for oversize and either a secondary belt for moving finished product or form a concrete pad and build a big concrete walled bin for the stuff you don't want contaminated

Good to see Justin again. He's pretty quick on moving the piles around!
Not a big talker like Chris but got the job well done. No useless moves.
Nice job chris. The screener works perfectly . I love that machine a Lot. Keep up the good work.😀
The question is when are you doing the clean out to see how much gold you've recovered?
The pile of gold is nice.. just look at all that black gold!
What an awesome machine. Money for old rope. Thanks for the video Chris.

I can't believe it, retired 75. Cut grass on property, mix horse manure make and stacking black gold ($25 yard), for couple hrs, 3 days a week.
Quite satisfying watching the soil coming of the conveyer. Only thing missing is a bay to stockpile it in.
Great for of recycling. And reusing all parts of the soil. Fantastic. Cornwall UK.
Interesting to watch different operators run the same machine, everyone is different for sure.
Glad to see Justin 😁. Wish he would have talked a Little. But yal was busy. I bet that dirt will grow some good veggies.

Sound like that screener could use a little grease !
Just as the bucket pins 😂
Davo UpNYa sounds like a stone stuck in the scraper for the feeder belt regular problem.
Beautiful soil Chris! 👍🏻
When you started the first day I did not realize you were at the saw mill. Real cool nice soil. Test a sample see what's in it. Great way to stop the loader from sinking.
Yeah it was pretty toasty in the backhoe but had a nice breeze blowing . Glad you kept cool though lol
I heard you say how hot it was. If you need to cool off come to New Hampshire we're expecting snow Fri night to early Sat morning. Wish you were here!
That's a good day of progress in my opinion. Thanks for the video, Chris.
That soil after going through the process comes up just fine
Charlie could get a/c on that backhoe I’m sure ! He added a/c on all his old equipment , a must have working on his equipment down South Carolina
Good lookin topsoil there! Always fun working with Justin good to see him
Awesome video Chris enjoyed watching
My father in law....
Need to drop my truck off to you, A/C isn’t working.
OK, drop it off
I get in it, test drive it and front wheel bearing is out, check engine light.
KO
Sounds about right for most people
You forgot the radio. To that is the other common customer emergency.
Great work bro
Pity you can’t load it straight on to the back of a truck more run time . As long as you’ve got some where to move it too
My thoughts, tipping trailer.
That pile of tailings reminded me of poop mountain from that episode of hoarders
The other guy Justin was a good operator too. No wasted movements.

the backhoe looks like fun to drive as well
Yeah it was pretty fun like always I use one at work from time to time

Fun as someone kicking you in the crotch!
That a big pilll of dirth ,love the video .
justins baby truck always makes me laugh
Charlie is watching and screaming to grease that squeak!
It's the coupling where someone bumped the drive motor and bent the shaft.
Looks can be deceiving. on the video it just didn't look like there was anywhere near that much soil in that pile. Crazy. I like watching screens work. Nice video!

A little bit of daylight through that dump box
Looks like good stuff!
nice job screener works well
Chris, is this for the family company, friends, or a side job selling stuff? I dont think you've told us why you are doing all this screening of dirt. It is fun to watch though!
Cool YES, Practical NO! Time = Money. Is very cool to watch, wish it was more practical as I have TONS of dirt that got wasted in burn piles. :(
How many piles does it take to get one grain of dirt to it's final destination.
Turn your feeder speed up. That way u have material falling in the screen faster
Look at that, your almost a gold miner! lol
Nice!!!!!(get a transfer conveyor!)
Has the utility people started using all that equipment yet?
Don't spill any, Justin!
Nice to see justin today
Would you ever look at getting a tilt rotator? And be able to talk about your opinions on them in the next vid
I don't know anything about this but if you occasionally let the dirt clear and then put through a couple of buckets of tailings, would that help keep the screen clear?
Chris buy a stacker conveyor good stuff bro
I figured you were selling it as fast as you make it.
Is that the silt from the pound clean outs?
New money is additional income
Twelve minutes longer than it needed to be.
Let's dig where is all this screened dirt going?
Chris what will the screened dirt be used for?
you kan mix 5 to 10% sawdust in to your durt, it gets you a lither finisch produckt
Man Chris, that topsoil's covered more ground than the wuhan!😂
Probably a silly question, but could you not arrange it so that the screened soil discharges into the dump truck ?
He could but it would be loose piles that you would still haft to use a machine to push it up. Professional top soil places have some pretty efficient set ups going. My local top soil place runs very fast with just one wheel loader and a couple conveyor belts.
@@snowblowerman5115 thanks for clearing that up...was wondering about it myself!
Why not park a dump truck under the belt where the good dirt comes out? Seems it would be easier than moving it with the backhoe. Just curious. Love your videos. Very relaxing. Not an expert, but have operated a lot of diferent equipment over the years.
EDD HANEY you could but can’t pile as easy with truck. Most companies that do this everyday use stacker conveyors
So who gets what amount of "gold". Screener, loader, landlord?
Just checked screened topsoil prices in Toronto, Canada....1 cu yard delivered $200...yikes
William Mcrae
$200! Damn. 1 hr down the road and it’s $75 delivery and $35/ yard. Or $45 for triple mix
Noticed a lot of the big equipment is gone. Did they finish their job or pull out due to pandemic?
Now, I am not generally a person to point out another person's foibles, but ain't you the one who pushed that pile up with the dozer last year?
Nice to see Justin, man, that guy talks a mile a minute sometimes, just not this time. I like those speed holes in his dump bed too, lets him put an extra 100 pounds of gravel in the truck too.
no that was the big sawdust pile beside it
So do you have to split the spoils with Charlie ?
As always love watching your videos but I have to ask how is that truck bed staying together super glue and gorilla tape lol
John Deere has a purpose in your arsenal of machines,
good video
How big is the digger size?
Can u put a bigger bucket at the front of backhoe love ur vids
I'm waiting for when it is too dry and you create a mini dust storm with that screener. :p Hello from southern AZ.
It’s a pity you don’t have a excavator to get rid of that hump in the ground that the backhoe keeps driving over 🧐
why are you running air-con with door and window open?
What would you use those big screenings for (all the rubble, i mean) normally? Some sort of fill? Or would it just get dumped somewhere? Thanks for the great vids as always, Chris.
I've wondered too. I wonder if a wet tank that has a conveyer feeding off the bottom for rock and top for wood could work. I'm not even sure if that type is made. Probably far more economical to just use it as fill.

Why is your middle bucket tooth so worn out compared to the rest?
One of these days when Justin dumps that truck the whole bed gone to slide off. Use it till you can't. ( I can't even afford it.) Lol
Yup, that truck has seen better days but, hey still going hard at it !
It looks like you enjoy everyday you post a vid, even when things don't go well? Do you own the company and equipment you use? I do enjoy them.
Are you the owner of the company? Your pretty good with the machinery.
COULD you run some gravel or rock thru that machine that would clean off the screens?
with all the cancer on the dump box,l that banging might make parts fall off.
Why dont you have the belt deliver the finished product into one of those dump trucks. You could then do without the backhoe and end up with more product.
When are you going back to the swamp?
What are you doing with all this topsoil 🤔
Has anyone suggested using a dump truck ?
I liked the big screener better. Sorta reminded me of a Transformer when it opened up. 😉
What is that God awful squeal? 😱😱😱
pipeline guys still on hold ?
He’s stealin! He’s stealin!!
i feel like i should know this, but this saw mill you're working at from time to time. who does that belong to? enjoying the screen content by the way.
Thinking the same thing also is the dirt yours or the sawmills keep up the good work 👍
I believe that Jack? guy that he let use the excavator a couple of videos ago is the owner of the sawmill.
It is his friend Jack.
Brian Gardiner thank you sir!
Which would you rather have, a dirt screener, or concrete crusher recycler?
Your audio in the machines seems to be getting worse.
Why are you running the AC while you have the door open?
Roger Leiser cuz he wants too
Global warming
Any way of using the wood yard off cuts or wood chips to make hot air to dry the earth ?
tons of trips through what is going to be a mud hole, should think about putting some rock down to stabilize the path, also might make it less bouncy for the driver
WHF you are moving it 30 feet why is that?
Why don't you use your dump truck to catch it then dump it.
It is about t ok me he came our of hiding lol what happen to the clean cut
