@@dug757 Liberal arts majors are fine if you have practical minors, professional graduate degrees, or networked aggressively. No major is useless if you know what you are doing and had a plan. It's the education that matters, not the title of the degree. Let people follow their passions.
I would recommend for college students to isolate your more difficult courses in the summer when you could focus solely on that course instead of trying to juggling it with a full load.
Good day, Black Height. I am Nyadro Julius Yao, a Ghanaian. I came across your channel recently when I was researching the course to major in College. I studied Business in High school and am now in my first year of college. I am confused about majoring in Business Administration or MIS. All my time in High school was about studying business, and I don't have any IT background. So taking MIS as a major, I don't know what it will look like since it involves coding. But way back in high school, I wanted to become an accountant, but I don't have that passion again, and I think I am lost and don't know what to do at this point in my life. Since you've passed this stage of your life, I wanted to write this mail to seek advice from you, so I make the right decision. I hope this mail will be considered. I am hoping to hear from you soon. Thank you.
Hi Nydadro- you don't need a IT background to do MIS. You will learn in the curriculum. MIS is a mixture of business and IT so you should thrive in the business classes and you will learn all you need in the IT classes. I hope this helps.
Really appreciate your videos very informative! Im not sure if you have, but can you make a video comparing the data science route vs the software engineering route with an mis degree if possible please
Right on brother. At Community College right now studying business administration to get all my gen eds out of the way. I plan on transferring to a 4 year school to get an MIS bachelors!
College isn't a scam, people waste time with useless majors.
💯

@@pranavpillai7778 Agreed. The key is networking and being flexible. We have to stop with this push that if you don't have a STEM major it's useless.
@@ericcarson342 True.
I do have an engineering job and you ain’t lying about the difficulties but by my next job if I ain’t in 6 figures I’ll be close

Hello! what about healthcare administrataion?
I love healthcare administration as a major.
I would recommend for college students to isolate your more difficult courses in the summer when you could focus solely on that course instead of trying to juggling it with a full load.
Great advice Dug!
@@ElevateToTheUnknown thanks Bro!

Dropping gems. You have to be very intentional with college because of the cost...
PBO - thanks brother. I hope all is well. I'll have an open panel tomorrow morning.

I'll add this to the queue. Thanks Dumark2008.

Great stuff Alex! That is a good way to go about getting an education. Less expensive than a pure 4 year degree.
I really appreciate your content. It’s been helping me choose which business major to go into. Heavily considering SCM now!
Thank you River. SCM is a great major.
Dug where would you put an economics degree?
i'm sorry, i meant to ask the person who made the video.
An economics degree is a great degree to have. It falls in the Math category for me so its a fantastic degree.
