Your winch assembly helped me greatly. I was stuck. Best wishes Scott

Thats great Scott, I'm glad it did. I didn't realise it was that helpful but the instructions are vague in places. I'm glad it helped and you are on your way to milling boards.
Have fun buddy and welcome to the channel.

Looking good - weather does look a bit rough. Look forward to seeing it finished and the first cut.

Thank you very much buddy. How's the progress coming on for you digger unless I haven't seen a video on it. My RUclips watch list is growing because my time is crazy at the moment. I also can't wait to get it cutting too.
      Thanks for your support 😊

@@everydaywithmenick It is in France since Monday - I tracked it on its Journey - now I am fighting to not pay the VAT again - Alibaba rules changed last October so they have to charge VAT ...but customs here, have not caught up yet.....will wait 'till monday to find out.

@@HomesteadingUncontained Yes I paid my VAT with the price. I did have to pay import duties etc once into the UK which is understandable. I hope you sort it soon though bud.

Evening Nick! At least the weather is consistent, bad here and bad there. Hopefully it will come around for everyone. Once you get to use the mill all the challenges will be well worth it. Like you mentioned before Hopefully also you won't have any issues with spares or phone chats too. With ours it took us 3 months after we had the mill to receive the manual, I'll just stop there. The mill is great, but, if you aren't mechanically inclined it would be almost impossible to assemble correctly. They assemble the most intricate for you in my opinion (saw head) which I am sure if one had to assemble would take a couple of long nights or possibly an all nighter lol. Looks like you are getting there bud! Looking forward to seeing more. Before you start cutting go ahead and remove the grates out of the dust chute, it causes the wheels and blade to build up dust really bad, just cut them out. That is what we did. Probably want to go ahead and file the track joints smooth or at least rounded, it bothered me when I pushed it along and can cause the mill to derail which has happened to us too. Can't wait to see more Nick!
    Ric

Hey Ric and thank you for commenting. Yes the weather has been pretty steady here, windy but fair. I hope you get a break in the weather some time soon.
Yes i cant wait for the mill to be operational just so all the work involved pays off. Regarding the grills, i just havent shown it yet but i have already done that bud, ive seen everyone else say the same so i did it too. I hope to fit a bucket too so it reduces the dust pile up.
Thats a good idea for filing the track a little, i may just do that. The joint is almost spot on for some fluke reason. But i will check them out again.
Thank you as ever for your continued support buddy 👍

Hi Nick We are having a bit of nightmare . This is David's,other half , ( the wife ) . We followed instructions for installing the winch tensioner and we had a hell of a game to get the wire in the holes . Now the handle to lift the saw head up and down is really stiff and hard to turn . We have eased off the knob on the tensioner but David is worried to undo it any more in case it comes apart . The other problem is that we have more tension on one side of the lifting wires that the other . In answer to your question , we do get help but it is all by telephone and not always easy to understand the instructions and they are seven or eight hours drive away and it takes a week at least to get any parts . To cap it all a lot of the instructions in the book are different to our machine . We are in Australia . Regards Eileen

Hi David and thank you for your comment and also watching. Greetings from the UK to Australia 😄 yes I must admit some of the destructions were a bit vague in places, but I did watch other videos of the mill assembly on youtube prior to commencing the task.
Jerry is very true in the fact that if a blade breaks it could find its way through the dust exit port. However I am glad I took the bars out of mine because I have some serious sawdust build up with them bars removed so I don't know what it would be like if they were still in. Very soon, my mill is going to be in a shed and no one can be stood on the exit side of the mill, so the safety of others has been solved for me.
I hope this helped and I'm glad I could have helped a little also.
Thank you again and I hope you enjoy your mill as much as I do mine. 👍
