Jon Danovic, a friend of ours who had previously worked with us to shoot a Pledge video for Evermotion in a room full of rented barn animals, sent us an email when he heard the song. The email looked like this:
Seriously tho, i was going thru a car wash the other day and had time to find some new music and heard this, honestly one of the best songs I've heard in years man. This song is proof that are still ways to make things sound different. Inspired the living f*ck out of me:
I have put an asterisk in the spot where Jon had the letter "u" - extrapolate at your own risk so you can devise the appropriate level of Jon's inspiration. Anyway, Jon's email also included an attachment to a video that HE HAD ALREADY FILMED TO COMPLETION. And we loved it. He captured the feeling, the pace, the darkness and the hope within "Hard Times." So, in some ways a "fan video" just became our official video for "Hard Times." But as the Pledge video for Evermotion in a room full of rented barn animals shows, Jon has always been a pro.

I know this an old post, and an even older song. But listening to it on repeat the last few days has been solely because, times are hard right now. It took me getting to the lowest point in my life to realize that times are about to get harder, for all of us. Just turn on the news, fake or not that's the point. Our confused division can only hold for so long, we will break eventually, and we have. Believe what you want but human history is already written in stone, we will see it once more. Take a deep breath everyone, please come around eventually, and see you on the other side❤

This is my new favorite song, I randomly found it on Spotify when I had another album pulled up - I'd fallen asleep at some point and when I woke up, this song was playing, and it was really amazing, it was exactly the kind of song I felt like I needed at that moment. It is kind of a simple video in that it's not like, explosions and raves and all kinds of crazy shit, and I think it's great. Definitely better than a lot of the videos I've seen lately. It makes me think of how sometimes when you're going through your daily life as normal, all of a sudden at the most random moments, the weight of the world can just like, come crashing down on you, and suddenly every little detail around you becomes this really big deal and you notice everything. Idk, maybe that's not something that happens to very many people, but it happens to me anyway. Nicely done.

i really liked this song and dont go aswell, this song because i started a new tough job so its my sing-along song on the drive after the days work, also my sister traveled away for work a couple weeks back so thats just more wood for the emotional fire. i really enjoy the harmonies and mix of happy, sad and melancholic melodies.

The thumbnail almost looked like Hayley Williams and with the title "Hard Times" I thought it was some sort of Paramore homage. But then the Guster song and car wash totally threw me off. Either way, sounds fantastic guys!!!
