As a former resident of Wausau, seeing this video brings back ALOT of memories. All the buildings that are now gone.......walking along and seeing all the stores, this makes me want to go back in time to a more perfect and peaceful time. This video is....... AWESOME !!!!!!!
OMG! Such memories! Even caught Funkey Park, behind the YMCA! We hung there a lot as teens and such. The then mayor's son, Tony once changed the sign from Yawkey to Funkey. Such great fun times!
does anyone recognize any of the people walking down the street? There is a couple that looks a lot like my brother Gary Cumber and his wife Carol when they first started dating. Is this indeed 1971 and not 1972?

Memories!!! Cruising the downtown.
I wish someone made a video like this of my hometown back in the early 70s.
This was great! thanks for posting. GO JACKS!
Its weird because.. I wasn't even born back then! Its so bizzare seeing how this place looked 50 years ago when I basically see this place every day..
Mint cafe is still here...
This brought back a lot of memories. Is that Schedler driving?
Linda. Do I know you?
No, it's not Mark Schedler. It's Jim Weber.
Bruce, this is Linda Sparks, class of '74. I don't know Jim. I rarely get to Wausau, so it was fun to watch the video.
Looks like Ernie Douglas driVing the car! LOL
