Taking GO Transit to see TOTALITY in Niagara Falls!

Millions of people from all across America and the world got to witness the spectacular Total Solar Eclipse on April 8th, 2024.
And living in Toronto meant it was a breeze to get dow there and experience Totality in one of the most unique places in Southern Ontario: Niagara Falls!
Despite the overcast, the atmosphere around the area was energized and exciting. While it was hard to see what was happening behind the clouds, we managed to get glimpses of the exciting action and at the perfect moment, the clouds parted to see TOTALITY and the sun's corona.
A truly magnificent experience from both GO Train, the event itself and the return home on Amtrak's Maple Leaf service.

Excellent video!! what was the price difference between the GO ticket and the VIA rail ticket?

I was hesitant to include that as prices for VIA vary and in this case… by a huge margin. I believe a ticket booked in advance is 25 dollars for the VIA maple leaf from Niagara Ontario to Toronto and GO train is 14 or 15.
In this case, since the VIA train ticket was bought day of it cost me 130 after tax. VIA practices “surge pricing”.
