This movement in the name of quota was a conspiracy from the very beginning. Because the Bangladesh government canceled the quota of freedom fighters in 2018 and since then Bangladesh had only 6 percent quota present. 5 percent for tribals and one percent for disabled. In 2021, some freedom fighters filed a case against it in the High Court and the High Court ruled in their favor on June 5, 2024. Then the Hasina government appealed to the Supreme Court against the High Court's verdict.
So there is no point in the agitation of the students about the quota. If there was no big foreign power behind them, they could not have agitated in this way ... because the opposition of Bangladesh boycotted the country's general elections 6 months ago, fearing to lose.
