- In this video I call out sky f1 for been bias and overall the show has declined massively they are charging people money to watch a pick me competition, the pundits are woeful and will not ask tough questions just stroke egos of the drivers. We need real pundits like Brundle & Rosberg who are going ask the questions the fans would ask.

Remember in 2021 when they had Anthony Davidson (who was at that time a Mercedes employee) doing analysis...what a joke and a insult to the viewers.
Dont get me started on Damon Hill who is still traumatized by Schumacher and copes by shitting on Max and every other aggressive driver.
You are spot on about the females and unqualified pundits.
Imo the biggest issue are the over biased crofty and kravitz.
Rosberg and Chandok are the only good thing they got going on imo.
Piastri has been outscoring Norris for weeks now, not a single word about it, they adopted Mclaren as their favorite team now since HAM is leaving and shit on george because he is his teammate, hence the MCL love fest.
Lando, Lewis and Sainz are holy in their eyes.
Pinkham is the worst, never one critical question, always the same open door obvious robot question "are you happy were you finished totday?" "How was your race?"
Trying to act cute like a teenager whilst being a grown ass woman in her 40's and being friends with everyone, especially Ricciardo.

Former F1 drivers, granted, but the former has personal level biases against half the grid and the latter only raced for Caterham for a season or two… which barely counts. Those three new 2010 teams were basically in their own separate category, and mobile chicanes for everyone else.
@@Snufflegrunt Its not about how many F1 races someone has, Chandok is analytically strong and to the point, good explanation that's it, you dont need to have 200 races under the belt to do that, he is legit.
Rosberg indeed can be a salty little b*tch sometimes, but even then most of the time he asks questions that we all want answered and the other SkyF1 pundits wouldn't dare to ask, its funny when Nico starts asking daring questions that are off script you literally see Simon getting disoriented.
Brundle is also becoming a joke, backing up FIA on the curse stuff and always pleasing the status quo.
Great observations. Could never agree more.
I'll add:
1- It's a Lewis bias that the likes of have never been witnessed in the history of media. People are so over-protected at him that I was banned for one month only because I said he charges the battery for a few laps and overtakes with his topspeed difference without doing any wheel-to-wheel action.
I mean, diversity is wonderful. We have drivers with origins from Netherlands, China, Thailand, Iran, Algeria and Argentina to mention a few. All playing the game in fairness and harmony. Why only chosing one of them and making him look like a god?
2- It's not a British bias, because they hate George for example.
3- I like Martin Brundle (although admittingly he's biased). Also the guy who replaced the bad Croft two races ago was much, much better than the discusting Croft.
4- Chandok is very, very solid and based guy.
5- Ted is a basket of waste with very low /Q.
6- Pinkham is way worse than you mentioned, you were too nice man. 🤣
@@hassobasso7067 It’s not the amount of races that Chandok has under his belt, but the team he raced for doesn’t really count. They operated and drove in a de facto different category. He’s good at explaining things but spends most of his time doing bs. His opinion is usually worth jack if it’s being backed up by his so-called experience.
Brundle will always be great. He’s pretty much the only person there who I take seriously.
When F1 was on the BBC in the late 00s and early 10s, it was their most watched programme apart from the news. It won awards for how high quality the coverage was. The presenters were allowed to have their own opinions (even arguments, Eddie Jordan was a pundit) and there was very little BS. But they cancelled it and sold it off to Sky. At the time everyone said it would turn into what it has turned into - a disaster.

Rosberg and Villeneuve always top notch. Asking questions that aren't even difficult just honest. None of this, lets not offend the driver, team principle, etc.

IMO, F1 coverage hasn't been the same since the long-gone days of Murray Walker and James Hunt. James Allen was good too and it's a shame he's not doing this.

If you have listened to any other country who broadcasts F1 you would be shocked at how much bias there is.
I dont have anything against fellow countrymen cheering on eachother but the difference Sky Sports has is that they have a
wider reach than my local F1 broadcaster here in Norway. I think it should be okay for the commentators and pundits in Sky to have their
support for their representatives and favourite driver, but they should never use their position to turn the narrative in their favor; as in
how Sky did a lot for the 2021 season.

I remember one race last year where Hamilton comes into the pits and Croft says it was a good lap from the GOAT. Croft says GOAT means greatest of all time, just look at his stats! I've never heard an announcer inject so much opinion into a broadcast.

As an American with no real skin in the game, I agree with some parts of this. Yes, there is British bias in Sky Sports, and Max wasn't always presented favorably in 2021. However, that is a trend with any national media broadcast. I mean... did you listen to the Italian presenters going crazy over Leclerc's win in Monza?? It's natural. When you see someone from your country or hometown, you will feel more inclined to root for them. I think Sky acknowledges this, and I honestly think they're doing better at "neutrality" than others. Think back to how Dutch media covered Lewis in 2021. That's part of the reason Lewis is always booed at Zandvoort or Austria. Bias can lead to unfair or inappropriate behavior, but we should be wary of putting so much pressure on Sky without looking at the broader culture of sports media.

Look up what Bernie Ecclestone said in 2021. "Hamilton used the media to bully Max"
Consider that Lewis's PR consultancy can potentially pay for bias and positive coverage.
When Lewis got his lucky podiums last year, they awlays interviewed him last so he got the final say and attention, when it should be the winning driver.

also why doesn't Lewis include Asians..Honda employ 1200 people in Japan to work in F1. Japanese aren't white. Also Red Bull 50% Asian owned.
2 Indian team bosses in the past (one female) 3 Indian drivers. Many more Asian drivers.

Lewis beat a 2 time champion alonso in his rookie year and embarrassed him so he had to extort the team. 2009,2010,2011,2012 he did not have the best car but you havent watched any of these seasons. max tried to crash in to lewis in every opportunity in 2021 but the FIA didnt care. especially in brazil and saudi arabia no penalty. massi robbed lewis hamilton FIA didnt care because they wanted a champion

@@mufcracer8609 It's one new pundit that has medicore skills on the mic, it's hardly ruined an already mediocre team.
If you consider Karun, Naomie and Bernie as recent diversity hires, the ratio of mediocre to quality is actually better than the existing presenters imo. I think Karun and Bernie are some of the strongest on Sky's team.
F1 TV is also more diverse and seen as the better example even with their weak points.
Naomi has improved her wobbly mic skills somewhat, her only issue imo. Remember most presents at Sky are OGs with 12 years of experience, it's a tough comparison.
People pay for the service in my view should be better for customer. Naomi, Rachel, Slater, Patrick, Lazenby are under qualified for these roles plus Pinkham just blows ego of drivers. Karun is decent no problem with him he has knowledge.

When you see the truth you may need to go back and make a few new videos to correctly inform your subscribers rather than just spread dis-information.

Even during a race sometimes they talk such rubbish. Lewis could make an impact blah blah, i think it was monza, 14s behind with 10 laps to go but oscar 3s at p2 apparently couldnt make an impact with 8 laps to go. I was thinking these cpmmentators are crazy. The commentators watch the same race as us and talk rubbish. They always seem to forget about basic stuff but it always applies to lewis or lando. Like when lando went onto the hards, we all knew those tires were coming in cold so the undercut was powerful, brundle... lando can make an impact on these hards on his outlap after being undercut with everyone else with tires up to speed. I was shouting saying shut up brundle, lando will lose places initially not gain.

Very selective hearing. Any driver with half a shout gets bigged up as they try to inject interest.
It’s usually bollocks, the best thing to do is shout ‘bollocks’ at the tv and feel smug when you’re proven correct 👍
Best Sky commentators in my opinion would be: Brundle, Chandhok, Rosberg and Herbert. Of course Herbert got sacked. I loved how he would try to cheekily wind people up. Schiff, Patrick, Slater and Brookes are the worst. To be honest, I quite liked Patrick as an Indycar driver: she was actually a decent driver. But in Nascar she was well and truly owned. And as an F1 commentator, she's trying to prove herself and it just fails awfully. Some of my 'favourite' cringeworthy tv moments on Sky F1 have involved Lazenby asking Patrick to give a summation of the race, and then to take so long that the others don't get a chance to speak, whilst they give knowing looks to each other (aka 'here she goes again ...'). So frustrating. I actually enjoy hearing Collins give engineering insights, though to be honest, I do think that her knowledge will likely become out of date in two or three years, if it isn't already getting closer to that now. Lazenby is OK: these broadcasting shows usually get someone from media to 'carry' the team and keep everything to time, and he's got tact and some interest in F1. Villenueve has been surprisingly interesting as a guest commentator, particularly in that he hasn't been afraid to ask questions that it appeared nobody else in the team had the gumption to ask (apart from Rosberg as the other guest commentator).

@mufcracer8609 I've watched a few race highlights on the channel 4 coverage and the full live British GP. When they had half the live races (2016-2018) I had their coverage on a lot and thought they were good back then even.

Johnny sacked when he was the 1 of them who right after Abu Dhabi called out the rules being broken and got Brundle there who weirdly seems to be in bed with Max actually.
Really like Rosberg and JB when he comes on and even Villeneuve at times all ex world champs funny enough, and Ted too is fine.
If it weren’t for them it may as well just be a soap opera featuring racing in the background but the bias not as much as some say imo.

I'll always remember Brundles comments when Vettel won his 4th title. Brundle said something like the guy with blonde hair (Vettel) is not important.
When Vettel went to Ferrari he decided he would no longer talk on the grid. Maybr something to do with those comments from Brundle.
I remember at Japan 2016 Brundle kept saying Vettel would be retiring at the end of 2017

I would not say SKY TV was Bias in any direction. There is no passion or energy. The days of Murray Walker and his excitement and Carizma are over. Now SKY TV is aired all over the world Canada and in America and Australia. Petey much anywhere where they speak English.The real deal of what went down is UTUBE people like you in their basement making podcasts. They just don't make a big deal about him. Murray Walker loved all the drivers. More love for English but he loved everyone. He did not care where they where on the grid. I cant even listen to the race rap up after race because it is BS. The SKY TV Kids do a better job.

I have seen the F1 Kids a few times. The young one liked Hamillton. The Girl liked Ferrari and the older boy liked MAX. I have not seen it recently so i don't know who likes Lando. I want to see a debate over drivers like in NBA and NFL. The commentators don't see eye to eye and argue in a civilized manor. Like a bunch of people at a BAR watching sports on TV. Minus the Alcohol of course.
