@aphsee NB Minneapolis' Vaughn Stewart says: Not well, if at all. Larger diameter corks will either fail to compress, or will break the corker itself. NB St. Paul's Heyward Gualandi adds: My experience has been that you can get them in most times - although Vaughn is correct. It does stress the corker and increase possibility of breakage. But most times it'll get the corks in there, albeit not as far down the neck. Hope this helps.
This is one of the worst corker I used. I had to adjust it many times and wasted many good corks to get it right. I still can’t get the cork to sit right.

is there any chance it would break the bottle as its a lot of pressure I feel I'm putting on it?
Not a lot of pressure is required, it uses a lever system that makes it very easy to use.....
yes , hand held corkers like this Can chip the bottle, they also crush corks and sometimes the bottle twists and the whole deal spills...
do you have to soak the corks first??
no, just be sure you are using the right size cork for the corker as well as the bottles.....

Invest in a 5 dollar mallet
get a Portuguese Floor Corker, even in Canada they cost under $100 Can$, so like 60 USD.. Best investment a home wine maker can make [or one of]
@@kobked-x i got one. Threw the other one away
It seems like a great way to spill everything out of the bottle should one thing go wrong
Yes, you have to be a cork soaker to use this.
no you don't
Lol, I gotcha LXXVI1976, some won't...
Nobody ever ACTUALLY shows you how to adjust it. They just say “mess with the screws!” Yeah…thanks.
