Don’t get me wrong - I don’t think FSG are the worst owners in the world. They took us over in a tough time, and put us back up there.
But it does really rattle me, that we are a couple signings away from having a world beater squad, that would dominate like City did for the next 5-6 years. It’s like doing a puzzle, getting 100 pieces away from finishing it - and just going “ F*ck it, that will do”.
There is no excuses they can use - if we start to drop off towards the end of the season, or next season - it’s because we could of accumulated immense depth, picked up some class players and they chose not too.
Every fan here must remember that FSG did not appreciate Klopp and approach him when available in the summer. They only appointment him out of desperation when Rogers start loosing the plot .This nothing FSG company cost Liverpool minimum one more title and Champions league under Klopp as they did not want to spend even bare minimum to buy one two quality players. I thnk we must run those nothing owners out .They hsve made profits in last 7 years under Klopp what cost us dearly.

They did not approach him before of the start of the season..abd every one was knowing that he was free as he announced in February that will be his last season in Dortmund. They appointed him in 15 of October 2015 when Rogers was loosing game after game as he lost the plot even the previous years .Do you know that Rogers lost last game in 14/15 season 6: 1 to Stoke and they sill keep him for the 15/ 16 season ( he did not quality as well for champions league this 14 / 15 season. Kkopp was available as every one was knowing that he is leaving after 7 seasons in Dortmund

Once bitten twice shy! We’ve heard these stories many a time! We constantly kick the can down the road when it comes to making moves in the market.. ideally we could do with a Kerkez, hato & a dm in the summer. With the idea that they’ll be replacing an kostas, Gomez & endo… then we’ll need further additions if we was to lose anyone other than the 3 mentioned… sadly I don’t have trust/faith in FSG doing what’s needed in order to regularly compete year in & year out

Konate was playing and Gomez didn’t get a look in, until konate got injured.. regardless of what we think, it’s all about what Joe wants to do. If he wants first team football. I though the FIFA rule change was to open transfer window early for competing clubs to sign plays before the competition starts. I saw reports on this last summer talking about Man City and Chelsea being able to sign players before any other club in Premier League.
It also would means that Real Madrid could register TAA early so he could play in CWW., if Liverpool agree. Also clubs have issue with player contracts expiring during competition. If you take Man City, at moment Kevin De Bruyne and İlkay Gündoğan contracts expire during competition. So either would leave half way through or might have to sign contract extension for couple of weeks.
Liverpool will probably only do business in the transfer window, if players are sold (hopefully this won't include Mo, Virgil and Trent) in the Summer.

the Club World Cup isn't a serious competition right now ... maybe in the future - but not now - if Salah goes he goes but that will be on Suits... i'm confident with Slot and his ability to replace any player or adapt the team's approach with other players - Liverpool will always score goals ....with or without Salah - but no doubt Salah makes he difference getting us there.

Unfortunately I can see what's going to happen,probably all of mo,trent and vvd will leave,any players we try and sign other teams will offer them higher wages and players won't wanna come to club who let their best players leave,no ambition. So we end up with average players,really hope I'm wrong. YNWA
No one talks about squad harmony when they talk about signings. It's a lot easier to sign players for a failing team, than it is for a winning one. As it stands judging by the strength of our bench, you would realistically have to sell a player before you bring in a replacement. Why would you want a situation of an unhappy player sitting at home every weekend when that player is currently part of a team pushing for a league title. All players have other players who they are friends with so why create a situation at the most important part of the season. You want a left back, you have to sell Robbo or Tsimikas. Look who they are friends with and tell me, it will have no impact on our current campaign. We have guys like Jota and Gomez injured who have to watch from home as it stands now. How many bench places are available? On top of that, existing players are in a rhythm of what is required and don't have to have bedding in time. They don't have to find a hose to live in, or think about schools for their kids. All of these things take time. In the middle of a title pushing season does rocking the boat in January make sense. The current crop all have a vested interest so I would say do the major work in the summer where nothing is on the line and players can come to terms with the fact that they are leaving. If Liverpool were 5th or 6th then obviously you have nothing to lose, bring players in. That is not the case currently.

The best signing we made this season IS Arne Slot. I was braced for a fight for top 4. Struggling with the shadow of Klopp. Others spending 100s of millions around us.
