Build a solid portfolio of projects, and start DMing engineering managers/recruiters on LinkedIn, specifically those at the companies where you applied, this will help you get noticed and get interviews. From there if you do a good job in interviews, you have a good shot at securing a job offer

it's not, it's still being used and udpated so you can use it
