Hey Alicia, I am just starting out with my brushes journey. Could you please do a video on "The Luxury kit", thats versatile from cream to powder. You can add the brands you love (different price ranges) and we won't mind if the list is long 😁. In love with the way you explain things, I'm always learning something new from you. Thank you!! Lots of love 💞
Bobbie Brown makes what's techinically labeled as a smudger, but it's shaped like a TINY shader brush, and it's perfect perfect perfect for small eyes or just dabbing in bits of color. I have it in my kit and it's so valuable.
I would go down a dangerous rabbit hole if I gave in to my desire to collect brushes. I just love hearing about them, seeing them, & using them (clumsily).
Well done! Happy 4th! Love your brush videos as I’m a Fude addict 😁. Actually just got a package today with more 😂. I have 98% of these brushes (sans some of the synthetics) and can say that all of them are great! Can’t choose a favorite. The GSN-9 is my go to for under eye, using shadow as liner quickly. The Kazan are heavenly I have backups of all of them. The Houkodou gs-2 is a fantastic multitasking brush for lid and crease work. The fo-5 fox is wonderful for under eye powder concealer as well, it’s a multitasker.
I stinking love brushes. I remember in maybe 2008, buying paint brushes because it was what I could afford but some were pretty awesome! Then I splurged on sigma and later the MAC 217 and 224 ❤️ Oh and I loved when Chanel made holiday brush sets. Now I have a mix of brush brands and materials because there is a huge range of price points and qualities available.
have you seen the samanthat ravndahl/sigma collaboration? She's done something with her collection I've never seen in a brush collection. It's so good! and the price averages $15 a brush which is also really good.
I definitely have come to love those kinda flat but fluffy with a slightly rounded edge type of brushes. I can use them for blending or for laying down shadow. Maybe because I am a fine art painter but it always came naturally to me to use a brush in different ways (it's called brushwork) You can use one edge, the corner, the tip, the entire flat side & you can drag a brush, pull down, tap, brush up, flick, dab, criss cross, stab, slash, etc. How you hold a brush is important too. I've been really enjoying the Worker & Builder Pros from SoniaG, especially with certain shimmer formulas that are thin with microshimmer particles & a cream formula that is in some palettes from ZeeSea. Those brushes pick up & blend both well. I also really like my Rephr #28 & P21 for shadow application to the mobile lid/inner eyelid corners. My eyes are hooded & that's a small, specific & tricky spot to get shadow placement just right & those brushes make it easier.
FANTASTIC video. Too bad I have a drugstore wallet ☺️ BUT, I am eyeing the large classic Surrat brush because you answered my question in describing it’s quality’s. Small, mature, deep set and hooded eyes!! I added a few more descriptives!!😉 Is what I’m dealing with. Thank you💕
Thank you so much for this video, Alicia. I love it! I have one shade that is in my ND Retro palette that is very difficult to pick up, and I have the Sonia G Jumbo Blender. So, the next time I pick that palette back up (maybe tomorrow?) I'm going to use the Jumbo Blender on that shade. Thank you!
Man! I would really like to try other brush hairs - I have enough squirrel and goat I have a couple of sable hairs as well (personal fave) so I’ve been taking notes on the next set to get 🙌🏽
Yesterday, I was looking for the WG26S (can't find it!) and now you have a video with it ... love when that happens. So now I DO want it, do you know where we can get one? This is a wonderful reference video to save and I'd love to see the same for other brush types. Thanks very much!
KZ6 has been sold out forever:-( I think I will get the KZY and Kakishibuzome set before they sell out as well. Thx for your videos, you have me sold on the F10. My Fude Beauty cart just got a lot more added to it;-)
I really want the Kazan set but just don’t ever get in quickly enough. With the Esum I thought the W stood for weasel, is that stupid? I know they had P something which was pony and G which were goat so I just assumed. I like those two Smith brushes with shadows that aren’t as soft and pigmented where you need a firmer pick up.
I'm imagining these fude businesses with their own on-premises petting zoos 😂 My faves are the GSN 9 and 7, also the Yano 9 (even though it's technically a blender)
great video, I'm sold on the FO5! P.S. thank you so much for acknowledging the Natasha Denona issue in your captions! You're the only beauty youtuber I have seen so far that has done so 🫶
Alicia + brushes = must watch! 😍😍😍
Best content creator out here!!!

Thank u Alicia...😂
I thought...shader brushes...ehh. But I gave it a go and you pulled me in, Alicia. This was such an interesting and informative video.❤
I would go down a dangerous rabbit hole if I gave in to my desire to collect brushes. I just love hearing about them, seeing them, & using them (clumsily).
I too have to pry myself away from browsing because I can muster up some convincing arguments as to why I need super fancy brushes 😅
My fav is Sonia G soft shader 😍

Sublime video!
Clutching my purse 👛 lol add to cart. 💯
Ooh here we go
🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️
Great video idea! Will this be a series - face powder brushes, blush brushes etc?
Gotta love a shader brush. You can do so much with them. They are some of my OG favorites.
Amazing video, love love when you talk about brushes, especially just talking about shader brushes, thank you I learned now how to use my brushes.❤
A woman of my heart!
I love all brush shapes but the slightly fluffy shaders has always been my go to brushes for easy every day eye look. Thanks for sharing ☺️

you will NEVER regret getting any of the surrat brushes, esp their shaders. they are one of a kind and last forever!
To be honest, I have eyeshadow brush sets and I had no clue what most of them are for. This was very helpful.
I have to up my makeup brush collection. I have very sensitive eyes. Very interested in the Chikihodo brushes.
Fabulous content…..I appreciate all of this information. Thanks. 👍🏾😀Deb

You are unbelievable! Great job! 🙂🙏🏼❤️⭐️
This was helpful, I feel I have a small shadow brush collection and yet no shader lol. I'm gonna need to consider one soon.
