Sire Larry Carlton all series is one for all to worry about. Just BUILD!!! You can get better results with a quality Luthier setting it up after you design it yourself and haul it to the luthier to build, or more funner; build it and have the luthier unscrew your attempt while showing the way to do it the right way. Keep rockin!

Sweetwater'ssite says: "The ESP-designed LH-150B in the bridge is a low-output humbucker that allows your chosen amp to do the heavy lifting, resulting in a thunderous but clean tone. Lynch learned over decades of playing that the lower-output pickups gave him the necessary room when dialing in his amp for the wall of heavy sound he became known for." !!!!!!!!!!

Got a purple Baretta Special a couple of years back, similar idea but much cheaper of course. Trem is cheap but a decent high output humbucker, lightweight and plays great. But the main point is it's FUN to play. Sure, It's not the one I play the most but it puts a smile on my face. Got to say considering the specs this a decent price for a signature model LTD.

The fun thing is that I went to try the iconic amp in my local store and I asked the sales guy give me any guitar without a Floyd Rose so I could what this amp had in the tank. I have a Ltd JMII - Josh middleton sig. It is so nice. Perfect SS frets and build. Ya its not a comparison for a strat as far as sound but it's built better than the 3 strats I've had. Ive read the silver sky se's are built in the same factory as ltd.
I should mention that I bought a fender player plus hss Andertons fsr a few weeks ago when fender put them on a weekend 30% off sale. And I had to send it back for multiple legit reasons. They were awesome to deal with and I just recieved the new one yesterday and this one is really nice. Rolled fingerboard and Fret ends are literally perfect. The frets aren't really finished that nice as far as the shaping of the top of the frets. I think they just get the neck flat and run a straight edge sander across the tops of the frets so any high ones aren't buzzing. But that leaves your frets with some flat spots and some that are completely untouched and round and some that are kinda both. It works I guess. Everything else about the build on this one is really nice compared to some of the goofy things they let go through quality control on the first one I had. I mean they are asking 1330 retail on these, they aren't cheap.. I got it for 40% off because of added fender play 10% discount but still..

Those used to be relegated to 450.00 and under guitars. Not that a special is terrible, some work pretty good... But for 700.00 you should get better quality. It wasn't that long ago you could get a Mexican made San Dimas with a Floyd 1000 for 799.00 and that came with Bourns pots and a Duncan JB in the bridge with a 59 in the neck... Great looking guitar though.

Gibson hasn't anything in that price range, but I don't think they're worried about getting the Babymetal/Cookie Monster vocals/shredding sales 😁 A lot of Gibson and Fender players WANT clean tones and tone controls.
My lone Strat-shaped object (Squier Bullet) had a single humbucker and volume. Because it was a cheap, pawn shop score, I butchered the guard, drilled an extra hole and put in a Gibson P-90 and a tone control. I don't remember what I did with the 'bucker...

I'd suggest a used 600 over the 200 any day. Which I have one one Reverb. Licensed Floyd. Believe is screamin demon but I've never pulled it

I have an LTD MH-203QM and it's got similar parts to this guitar. I really liked it at first (the neck is sweet, the body is sweet, finish is awesome for the price) but the Floyd Rose Special is so darn cheap, that it went defective and rendered the guitar, a paperweight (until I get around to replacing it).
I'm actually about to purchase some of the titanium lock blocks for my Schecter Damien Elite FR but I clicked on your video, first...dang ADD. I want to try out the whole Titanium parts upgrade kit but, man, I don't want to spend $290 USD on it. Might just buy the replacement blocks for both my LTD and Schecter...the weakest link on both guitars is the lock blocks and also, the cheap metal of the FR Special, is not conducive to good resonance so they sound a little "thin", which doesn't help the ESP Design PUPs from sounding so "tinny". I kind of want to try the Stainless steel and titanium blocks, to see if there's a whole lot of difference to justify the price (I know TI is expensive).

Looks like LTD is trying to take on the Kramer Baretta, and just like the Baretta would be a cool giveaway guitar! 🤘🏻

I think the Yamaha Revstar is the guitar to watch out for, in the Les Paul realm.

That's funny. The description of the pickup on Sweetwater says it's a low-output humbucker

I have two older LTDs and they're fabulous axes. Their quality of construction is top notch and they generally punch well above their weight category. One is good enough as is that I'm leaving it alone, whilst the other started great too but I'm using it as a mod platform.

Les Paul's and SG's are my favorite guitars and I can not afford Gibson's so ESP LTD with their EC's and Viper's were the way I was gonna go. I am a ESP LTD guy for life.

I haven’t tried this one, but people looking should also look at that Kramer Baretta Robert featured a while back for a little more money. Duncan JB, instead of a Floyd Special a Floyd 1000 with some up-pull (though not recessed), and a maple body like George has often preferred. But aesthetics and the neck feel will probably decide it.

Big Lynch fan since the 80s, and been eyeing this for years and years... just never pulled the trigger. I like the simplicity of it as well since I rarely use anything but the lead pickup anyway. No apologies; I do what I do which is primarily 80s rock and metal!
By all means give it away!
( surprised to hear it is heavy. I would not have guessed. I have had a LP style LTD for almost 20 years, but like a fool I tried to replace ( the best stock pups I have ever heard) with EMGs; swap was botched and never revisited it)

You mentioned the Seymour Duncan Screamin’ Demon. It’s not a hot pickup by any means, rather it is on par with a 59. Try one if you have a chance. It is my go-to.

I bought a used ESP Lynch signature series. Someone put a Black Winter in it. I compared it playing with Screamin Demon and really like it but although I love George and the tones he had I'm a distortion nut when it comes to my own playing. I plan on replacing most with Black Winter. No clue on spec differences, I just like it
