For 60 bucks you got a lot of projector, one of the best Price performance ratio I've ever seen.

@@smurfik302 hey Kevin, the cable is around two meters. In this case you can't replace it with another ac/dc cable, cause the the plug have to be a angle plug. Otherwise you cannot project straight to the ceiling. The space on the bottom of the projector is really small. Also when you use a hdmi device you need a flexible extension one or also a hdmi angle plug. Hope you understand what I meaning, my English isn't that good. If you got another question, don't hesitate to ask.
Got this today, the brightness is a bot low and there is no adjustment for that. It's a good value for money though. Don't expect too much. Night shots in a movie are difficult to watch on this. Will give it a 5/10

Just bought one of these for 50 quid. I don't have high expectations really, obviously i know it's just one of those Chinese things that everywhere online sells. I only bought it as a temporary thing after breaking up with my gf and having to sell my house and temporarily move into my parents spare bedroom. Obviously along with the transition, i had to sell my 75" tv as there was no way of getting it upstairs. So it's basically just a device instead of a TV for the time being, instead of having to always use my laptop or phone. I didn't even look at any reviews before buying it, but after watching your video, i'm actually fairly surprised at the quality of it. Cheers for the review.

if you go in the setting and then About the device Then click the okay button four or five times then a development option opens. Here you can set and adjust the color, brightness and everything else Then just go back to the settings and you will see the activated option
does this help with scoped storage problems in android? I have installed mupen64 on it but I cant get it to see any ROM's is there a developer option for storage setting that might help? also I installed retroarch plus from the built in android TV play store and tried to run n64 games from there and it does se the roms and I can play them but the frame rate is very choppy, but I saw a reddit post that said they had n64 working good on this machine but the problem I am having is that when I try to set retroarch plus to vulkan and restart the app to apply changes all I get is a black screen and i have to delete app data for it to work again. anyone here have this and got n64 emulation working smooth on it or have go a version of retroarch that will work with vulkan? I suspect that n54 would be worked smooth if I could use vulkan which this projector says it supports

using a good quality projector screen is important; to improve the picture; darkening the room can be important as well; and , as already suggested in the comments: via the settings of the projector picture quality can also be bettered

You can reach Brightness and Contrast settings, when you go to About Device, click two times in the black square. Then the Advanced Settings will be available.

I've manually corrected the keystone, and it is just fine, but when I watch a video I can see the image fitting the manual keystone correction, but a shadow on the edges of the frame, like some space is left to fit (although my frame is rectangular, this shadow has a weird shape). Any idea on what that could be? It does not affect the videos I play, but it's still annoying! Cheers!
What you are seeing is the true outline of the projection at an angle. Keystone cropping cuts into this reducing resolution..all projectors do this.. ideally your projector should be parallel to your screen face. 👍

Technically yes, but you would need some sort of conversion box that converts VGA signal to HDMI signal (probably costs more than this projector) Or you can copy your shows onto USB stick and plug it into projector, that solution should work well.

If it's a big issue you can get the newer HY320 which has shorter throw and more brightness than the HY300, at the cost of some extra size and weight.
