Ppl say its boring because all the power is at the middle of the rpm range, so you dont have that crazy push below 3500 rpm that makes you instante wheelie and you dont have that 4 cylinder power at the high rpms that makes the bike go faster than you should. You have the power at the perfect range for commuting, touring and overthakes without too much use of the gearbox which is the perpose of this bike.
I have one from 23. I love the bike, it's beautiful and looks awesome. I knew what I was buying cause I really studied the competition and ok, it doesnt have usd forks, a 180 rear section, its not the best sounding and will not go 150 mph but its the best of the categorie (sport touring) for touring with the beautifull fairings and city ride because of the ergos and fuel economy. The same way i know a HD will not go 186 mph, I know this bike is not a supersport and ppl who think it is are the ppl who dont like this bike.
It vibrates cause it’s a 2 cylinder bike and the sound you have to get used to it cause no matter what muffler you put it’s a cylinder bike .. great bike
It vibrates 'cause there is a motor between your legs. Parallel twin motors vibrate. To stop the vibrations, turn the bike off. There, no more vibrations until the next time you go for a ride and you will experience VIBRATIONS. I have the 2020 Z650 and I LOVE how this bike VIBRATES!
Lol funny. The Yamaha mt07 didn't vibrate us much, nor did the CBR 500r. I'm talking about the level of vibrations in relation to other bikes I've ridden. That being said, I still fucking love the bike! It's such a fun bike to wip around. Easy to ride, don't have to think too much.
It's a 2 cylinder engine. It's gonna vibrate. It also sounds like a 2 cylinder engine. If you don't like the 2 cylinder things, breakout and buy a 4 cylinder bike.
I just bought the same bike about 2 weeks ago and have less than 200 miles on it. I, too, notice the vibration but associate it with being a180 degree inline twin. Your negative points mirror mine, but I love it and love the looks. I wanted something with a more up right riding position for sport touring, so I wasn't focused on speed and super sport handling. As for sound, I agree; once you get it in the higher RPM range (which I haven't done much since I'm still breaking it in) it really doesn't sound bad for what it is, and I'll probably keep the stock exhaust because I haven't heard anything better, only louder. Two other negatives I have are the front end being a little spongy and the other being that the throttle seems somewhat twitchy or immediate when shifting into 2nd gear. I saw a video from Moore Mafia that he fixes it with an ECU flash which I plan to do after the summer. I paid $8400 out the door which I think is a great deal. It's a 2nd bike for me (the other being a '22 HD Street Bob) and, so far I'm loving it and certainly meets all of my expectations at the price point.

My buddy has a 636 and yeah its fast and sounds better but I feel comfortable on mine and its enough bike for me for now.... I was coming home from work which is a 25 mile drive and usually take the back roads since the lame 4K RPM break in thing... Said "F" it this time and hit the freeway and varied the throttle. I did take it to about 6500K RPM while doing around 50 MPH, and it instantly mad me LOL and smile! Love my 650!!! BTW....How the heck did u get 8400$ OTD??? Damn! I've had a 2022 ninja 650 for a year with about 4300 miles now and just bought a zx6r which is a huge difference to me, like literally double the hp and only 3k more than my 650 cost a year ago however the zx6r is NOT a beginner bike in my opinion, riding dirt bikes my whole life before getting my 650 it felt like a huge step up and exactly the same going from 650 to zx6r
Someday I will bump up to a zx6r. But insurance in NYC sucks big. They just increased my monthly recently. And I have zero claims or accidents. Def will move to cheaper places someday. I got full coverage.

2020 Ninja 650 owner here. Great video Cloudy! The vibrations went away on my bike around 1k miles. I suspect the injectors weren't completely balanced during break-in. Something else I didn't like was the front dampening. At first, it felt alittle harsh and wallowy like an old car with bad shocks. I changed to 42cst (from stock 35cst) oil (Torco 20), added preload adjusters, shortend spacer tubes, and adjusted for 30-35mm of rider sag f/r. I'm liking the feel and control alot more. Rear dampening is OK. I'm 175-180lbs with full gear BTW. The throttle has an odd off idle stumble and a dead spot in the powerband around 4k rpm. Otherwise, the bike is flawless. If you're ultimate goal is to get to a zx6r, ild say get a ninja 400, ride it for a year. The 400 is a lil bit more aggressive than the ninja 400 in terms of seat position. Ninja 650 leans more towards the sport touring category. My first bike was a CBR 500r (comparable to a ninja 400), only rode it for 5-6 months. When I shopped around for my 2nd bike, I looked into a ninja 1000 and an r6 in my local area. I ultimately decided not to go with such a high jump in power, and settled for a ninja 650; a moderate jump from my 500r. I wasn't ready for a 100hp+ bike just yet. So makes sense that it would vibrate a lil bit more. At the end of the day, I'm having a great time on the bike haha. Enjoy my friend! Ride safe, it's the most balanced bike in my opinion. Cost effective, fast enough for me, great mileage, and comfy.
Interesting view on the vibs. I had a 2017 (first of the new model) and it had a little buzz between 4-5k rpm and above 6k but no vibes to speak of. Hopefully yours goes away or get your dealer to check it.
@@geoffarrowsmith2198 it did go away. But it still ldoes buzz a bit around 3-4k.

@@cloudybiker I'm 6'4. Just wondering if it's too small for me.
U can buy brand new instead of the price they try to sell used it’s dumb
Yeah man. People out here seeking 8k miles with scratches for 7k lmfao.
I have 2022 ninja 650, $450/yr ins premium full coverage. I thought I was paying too much. Lol
Damnnnnn that's a good price. Where do you live? Which Insurance?
Erie Insurance, I'm in MD. I have good record and senior citizen new rider. That's my first bike.
@@EddieOklang man lucky. NYC prices are insane. Alot of theft here.
28 a month full coverage in Tn😂
@@Scotth44 man, NYC suxxx. Expensive as hell. They increased my rate to 230, even my car insurance went up for no reason. Never been into an accident.
Not gunna take about that nice display that comes on such a cheap bike lol
Oh man totally forgot that 😅
I seen a few videos and the Ninja 400 has about the same power and torque as the CBR 500 I definitely heard the speed is the same
Actually ninja 400 is faster than the cbr 500
@northparkanita3152 Wow, Kawasaki is great
I chose a 650 over a R7 recently. Comfy, tourqy, and way cheaper to insure. $48 a month for 2024!
