I'm happy that Camilla has got her visa to stay. I have had an experience with getting my Yellow book and ID card, before i could open a bank account. But you guys have given me some valuable information particularly around visa runs. Im glad you can all finally relax and just be a family and enjoy Thailand.

I love when you speak Thai, it helps me learn more. It would be great if you did a video completely speaking in thai and had subtitles on so I could compare the sounds to words. I watch thai news and tv, but they don't allow subtitles. Great video, and congratulations 🎉

Nothing but great adventures even if it seems like a headache, but since you are in Thailand it is just fun. Real soon she'll be a Thai Citizen. The pool is always an amazing tool to get the kids tired, they look at it as fun times, but it is great exercise and the result is, a nice nap. I'm not sure of any visa changes, things seem to be changing all the time it's hard to keep up, but hopefully the days of border runs are behind us! 😅

I have no idea, I think it's some kind of reggae perhaps African music. I found it online one day and haven't been able to find it again since, it doesn't show up anywhere so we've made it our own 😅

Yes the most important thing if you stay in Thailand is the Visa. All these bloggers that think they live in Thailand? Don’t. Only if they get the elite visa for 20k ? Who has that kind of money? Congrats to your family ❤👍🙏
Haha yeah vloggers in Thailand come and go. Staying is difficult long term unless you have a lot of money, retired or married to a Thai 😁

It's the Land of Freedom.. once your documents have been processed though the carousel of stamps.
I got married to my Thai husband while visiting Satuek, Buriram in July. No booking, just bring papers, sign papers, success.
Will be going to Immigration in Bangkok next week to get my finalized stamp for the 1 year extension of stay. Finally!
My biggest problem with the whole ordeal of getting the Non O and the extension of stay is the way Immigration talked over me and spoke to my husband instead. The terminology was difficult for him to explain to me later and the officers seemed generally disinterested in talking to me directly when I asked questions.
A few other issues as well that were a hurdle, but it is finally done!
I completely understand the sense of relief you are feeling! I feel it too!
Definitely a huge relief now that it's sorted! I just hope it's easier going forward 😅 Our marriage was as easy as yours, done within an hour, the visa took months 😩😂
@@pejfectlife Do you speak Thai to a level that you would understand the terminology from the officer? If you do then it could be the case that Thailand is a 'man's world' so to speak. Women definitely don't have the same level of status in Thailand as men as they do in the west. It's something you might have to get used to if you make a life in Thailand. This is a country where the majority of men won't wash dishes because it's a 'woman's job'. On the other hand if you don't speak Thai to a high level then the officer is probably uncomfortable speaking English and would be the reason he ignored you.
@@Smallmanbigworld1 The officers have all been women. And all of them have spoken English very well. They just choose to speak to my husband until I INSIST they speak to me because of the language difficulties.
But it's over for now. A year until next time. I have a year to learn more Thai. And a year to train my husband to say "please speak to my wife" whenever we are at the Immigration offices again applying for anything.
I am the one doing all the work and procuring all the documents anyway. He just tags along because he is required to, not because he is actually useful in the process. :P
@@pejfectlife Sounds annoying but it certainly sounds the case of it's a 'man's world' even if the officers are women, they're used to their society and while things are slowly changing, men still call the shots. Look who is driving the cars, look who is sat on the back of scooters, look who is washing the dishes.

90 day reporting can be done on line, but I'd advise you do your first report at the centre and collect all necessary info whilst there. Also I was fined when I moved up here because I didn't know you were expected to book in within a week of arrival. Just some of the problems I faced. Other than that they're really friendly and accommodating at Gap Cheong immigration.
It's within 24 hours in some places, or at least it used to be.
We already went to them when we first moved in to say we'd moved and explained our situation, that's when they told us we had to get the 1 year stamp back in Pattaya. But we will go and see them again in person to make sure from now on all can be done in Surin/online 😊 It's best to get friendly with these people 😅🙏

Hi Camila great news on your one year visa, but you being the wife of a Thai national can get Thai nationality also, but if it had of been the opposite way around husband being English and you Thai then there would be no way that would happen. Start your process for Thai nationality being married to a Thai national. Then no more visa runs which is a real pain 🙂
It would be perfectly possible for a foreign husband to get Thai citizenship when married to Thai national. He'd need to meet some minimum income requirements and some other things, but it is possible if they are a working individual in Thailand.
But yes, it is easier when the wife is the foreigner.
We have done some research on this, the easiest way is to be put on a house book in Bangkok but unfortunately we don't have anyone who would be able to do this for us. But citizenship is definitely something we'll get sorted in the future, a yearly visa is fine for now 😊🙏

Well done swimming without armbands that's a great achievement at such a young age. Its a lovely area you live but Pattaya is ok for a Holiday i could never live there but rural Thailand is the place to live.
As i have said before I'm sure you are not far from where my ex girlfriend lives, she has a shop in the village selling food but her food is really delicious which I miss, sadly I had to finish with her due to my condition with my spine to the stage of I might have to have an operation on my spine which there is a risk of never walking again which I didn't want to be a burden on her and now I'm unable to work now and living off UC, ESA and PIP that money doesn't go far so I was unable to send money for her which I did all the way through PLANdemic until July 2022 which my condition worsen.
Anyway great vlog I wish you all the best living in Surin which I am really jealous.

Depends on your circumstances, what visa you're on etc. It's probably easier to Google it. You'll need to be on a house book and have your yellow Tabien Baan.

It was just a joke, only I have a Thai passport as I am Thai. My wife has a British passport, she just got her marriage visa stamp. Maybe one day she will get Thai passport too.
