This is a family friendly tractor loving channel that hopefully inspires you, teaches you and entertains you.
I love to read your comments!
Keep on tractoring and God bless.
That turbo kit sounds amazing. Do it!
Pretty sure it’s going to happen! Thanks for the encouragement! 😂
Keep on tractoring!
Oh, hell yeah Jon, we GOTTA see that upgrade! Pump that thing up!!! 💪😎💪
I love your enthusiasm!! We'll make a go of it!
Keep on tractoring!
Absolutely do it Jon! My warranty is up next year and I'd be interested in seeing a turbo on the BX! I'm also definitely thinking about upgrading the cylinders!
Unless someone can talk me out of it I’m pretty certain it’s going to happen. I’m excited to see the difference.
Keep on tractoring!
Is the turbo for the engine or the hydraulic pump?
You better beef up everything, drivetrain, pumps etc. are all going to take a beating with that much of a power increase. Tractor was designed for the power it has. I would buy a bigger tractor if I'm short of power. Other than that go for it!
Wow today was the first day with my new dealer factory Curtis cab....Very very loud and totally takes my awareness away but will take time to get use to it. Enjoyed having heat and a wiper today In Connecticut after our storm last night
Get yourself a set of 3M worktunes. They are extremely comfortable to wear and have great sound. The can does amplify the sounds quite a bit but I bet you stayed nice and warm!
Keep on tractoring!
@@ritterjon Thanks for that idea and I will find out who makes the lights on my ROPS you asked me on Facebook today
Jon, yes, please put the turbo charger on the Kubota 23S Tractor. If I see that you like it, I might put it on my Kubota 23S . Thanks, and great video! 👍🏻
I think it’s going to happen! Stay tuned!
Keep on tractoring!
Yes! Turbo kit would be a great video, in my humble opinion 👍
Pretty sure it’s going to happen! Stay tuned.
Keep on tractoring!
I have a BX25DLB and I saw his video and I am considering getting the Turbo Kit. I was already trying to figure out how I could put a Turbo on my BX. Working out the manifold is tough to get it all under the hood , he’s got it figured out and I was totally going to get it . He’s still has a few refinements to make. Love to see the results first in action. Thanks
I might be interested in a turbo kit. The gain in horsepower is tempting. I just installed the 1.75” loader cylinders and I got 12 more inches in height, on 2/06/25. Still thinking on the turbo addition. Keep the videos coming. 👍 P.S. BX23s 2021.
That’s awesome! It would be nice if the BX came stock with those cylinders! I think you’ll see me install a Turbo kit soon. It’s very compelling!
Keep on tractoring!
Absolutely, do it. I need to wait until the warranty is up to do mine, next year I think.
Yes I would. Does he have one for the 2680 bx
Not yet, but he mentions it in his video. Check it out.
Keep on tractoring.
I'll wait for the next video as how you installed this kit
I will definitely do a follow-up on that! It will be a while but I plan on showing the whole process.
Keep on tractoring!
Yes please more power
More power = more better! Yeah I think it’s going ti happen!
Keep on tractoring!
Absolutely 💯
I would definitely be doing it if it was me 😆 as long as your warranty is up, why not add more hp. I have a T224, and it's has the hybrid tires on it, and I love them lot's of traction great video
Thanks! You're exactly right, why not add more HP if it's a possibly.
Keep on tractoring!
Those tires look like they are a R14 tread pattern. With the turbo kit, it is great to have the extra HP, but is the rest of the powertrain strong enough to handle that extra power without the weak link failing.
Morning Jon. Those Carlisle front tires, did you order the tire and mount it in the original rim? Or tire and rim came together?
I ordered the tires without the rims. They are much better than the R4’s. So far very pleased!
Keep on tractoring!
@ thanks for the info Jon. Happy Sunday.
Yes 👍 more power 💪
Please do it! I would love to see it be installed and used with the blower.
It’s most likely going to happen! Stay tuned!
Keep on tractoring!
Absolutely do this!!
Absolutely 👍👍
I’m pumped about it! Should be lots of fun to make some content with!
Keep on tractoring!
Hello. Interesting video, thank you. Give the turbo a try!
I have a 2021 LX2610 HST open station with ~500 hrs. Is your cab stock or after market? I’m thinking of options to add a cab of sorts, or possibly upgrade to a Kubota with cab and higher HP for our 24 acre property in WI.
You live in Wisconsin with 24 acres, you need a cab! Mine is an aftermarket Curtis Cab made specifically for the BX. Stay tuned because that turbo is going to happen. I’m excited about it!
Keep on tractoring!
Johnny X has been a beast....I would do it.
I'm pretty certain I will. I'm ready to push the limits and see what a BX can really do!
Keep on tractoring!
Will your front axle take the additional weight? I can see it tearing up pto powered attachments over the long run
Yes, no issues at all, just like anything you need to handle the extra power with care.
Keep on tractoring!
That's awesome! I guess the main thing besides breaking the next weakest link is that you have to feed the horses. I love the fuel economy on my BX. Wonder how that will affect it.
I'm not sure about fuel economy but it will be fun to find out!
Keep on tractoring!
Jon,go ahead with the turbo upgrade for your tractor it’ll be less time clearing snow and more time for your girls in your life 😮😊❤
That’s a good argument! You convinced me! 👍
Keep on tractoring!
Yea, just saw the turbo video yesterday. Do it, want to see how it fits under the hood of the bx23s.
I'm curious to see how it will fit and perform. Should be a fun series of content. I'm looking forward to it.
Keep on tractoring!
Did you upgrade the bucket cylinder as well?
No, the bucket cylinder is the same. I don't think it really needs an upgrade.
Keep on tractoring!
Turbo IT For the Win TY God Bless
heard if you get old small drill bits, you can use them as Tig filler rod and it makes a hard face edge. People use old timing belt idler pulleys they get at dealerships etc when they do a belt change. You put them on a blower at the bottom and they roll and have a stand off built in. Friend looked at the cylinders but when he needs height, he just drives up a a pair car ramps, he takes in his weight box. hard to justify 900 bucks for a couple cylinders and hopes Surplus center will have some soon.
Go for it that sounds great
Yes, do it Jon!!!!!
Looks like a really well engineered system. If you guys can work out a deal on getting the kit, give it a shot !
Have a Blessed Day 🇺🇸
I hope we can make it work! I’m excited to see the difference! Seems like a lot of commenters feel the same way.
Keep on tractoring!
The only question I have is the tractor designed to handle the extra power? Just because the engine can put out double the HP can the hydro and the drive train handle it?
That's a great question and I guess eventually we're going to find out. I'm happy to be the test dummy here.
Keep on tractoring!
Do it Jon
You get that video link I emailed you?
Oh yeah I hope you do try the turbocharger on your BX. By any chance has hydros plus made any backhoe cylinder’s for your backhoe? The turbo and backhoe cylinder’s would probably make your machine operate like the industrial backhoe’s. I am a retired Operating Engineer, Local 12 with 30 years as a journeyman in the union and before that was a one man crew installing septic and water tanks in the desert. Excavator and backhoe’s were my specialty. I’ve been seriously considering a BX23s for my 4.42 acres in Cochise county Arizona. Thank you for your outstanding videos, I enjoy them all
No backhoe cylinder for the BX yet. Not sure if that is in the works or not. Sounds like you have experience digging holes. A BX23S might be perfect for you on 4.4 acres. It all depends on what your application is. If you plan to dig a lot I’d look into getting a mini ex.
Keep on tractoring!
Great stuff but if your tractor is still under warranty would the larger cylinders and or the Turbo Kit void your warranty. I definitely like both upgrades but would want to wait and see how these upgrades work on some other tractors before I pulled the trigger on either one.
Great question, and probably would void your warranty. However, for me and others whose warranty is expired it's just a fun testing the limits. I'm interested in what could the BX actually do.
Keep on tractoring!
I would love to see that video.
I am not John Deere buyer under any conditions, that being said.. TTWT's 1025x build is super cool... you should be the BX counterpart.. I want to know how much better it would blow the snow.
That TTWT build is impressive but I'm sticking with my BX! I'm also curious to see how well it moves snow. TTWT never get to experience much of that.
Keep on tractoring!
I would think that you should get a option for this project from your Kubota tractor dealer.
That would be nice wouldn't it!!
Keep on tractoring!
I have a 2680 but I would like to see you do yours for your comparison before and after.
Hey Jon, if you don't want to put it on yours... I will offer my BX for the kit!! lol
Nothing yet for a preorder on his site.
Do it!
I can’t believe you’re even asking! Heck yah
I hear your concerns and am ready to move forward with it. 😂😂
Keep on tractoring!
do it soon I love power
They don't have the Turbo kit listed on their website. They have an upcomming items for 2023. Seems to be a little behind on the updates....
Southern MN has virtually no snow this year-
Go ahead and get the turbo kit even if you can't put it on now winter doesn't last forever.
Would it work on my 2680?
No but in his video he talks about it and the possibility that he might make one for the 2680.
Keep on tractoring!
I asked the same thing and he said that if he got enough people that wanted it then he would do it
Everything needs a turbo!!!!!!
I don't disagree!
Keep on tractoring!
Wow
I forgot to ask about the fact that my BX is only the 1880. I would be curious if those cylinders would work and it is the same front end loader with LA340.
If it’s the same loader then yes they would work!
Keep on tractoring!
I love your videos and don't want to be a negative Nellie, but I must chime in here. Kubota didn't engineer the lift capacity and height to what they did for no reason. I would be very careful with lifting on your BX. As far as I know, the BX doesn't even have a lift rating (correct me if I'm wrong) and your front axel (again not rated as far as I can see) will have the last say. Also, I agree on the tires. Even turf tires work better in the snow than R4's. Also, it's a no brainer that adding a turbo will add wear to any engine. There's no free lunch.
There is a lift rating and it's listed only around 600 pounds. I respect your concern but here's my thought. From the people I've talked with, Kubota played it very safely with the BX to avoid lawsuits of people getting hurt due to minimal operating experience and not using ballast. I've seen a lot of people push these tractors very hard without mechanical consequences. I'm not saying these upgrades are for everyone but if you understand the limits and are willing to risk finding out the weak spots of the BX it could be an interesting experience. I feel like I'm at that point now where I want to push the limits. So anyway, those are my thoughts.
Keep on tractoring.
Sweet to bad that those of is with the 2680 can’t get a turbo cause it has a different manifold. What a crock. I would do it if I was you
Keep watching his stuff because I think that’s in the pipeline.
Keep on tractoring.
@ man I hope you’re right
Might ask Kevin if he can help you with it $$ wise, partial sponsorship?
Get the turbo.
I know this sounds weird, but i have never found a situation where i needed more power.
There's been a few for me but not often. When I'm snowplowing heavy wet snow and when I'm cutting through thick brush with the flail mower. I think the turbo will help with that a lot. We'll find our anyway!
Keep on tractoring!
All the power added is great, and the added weight is too, but you are over designed operating conditions and a tractor will suffer longevity. I have a BX and I need it to last forever as I can never afford a new one. For financial reasons I have to leave it stock.
Why not buy a tractor with more horsepower? I think these upgrades would stress the limits of the tractor (Drive Train and frame) ending up in failure
Because of the foot print of the tractor. I can get my bx23s into customers backyards where a larger tractor won’t fit
The size of the tractor plays an important role for what I use it for. A bigger machine might be stronger and get things done quicker but it would be limiting as far as getting into tight places. The BX is the perfect size machine for me.
Keep on tractoring!
@ Yeah I guess it depends on your use of the machine? How wide is the BX 23s? I have a Mahindra Max26XL, its just under 55" wide. I can get it into pretty tight areas.
Turbo that sucker!!
How many hours do you have on your tractor? Is it still under warranty? Maybe a very successful video would pay for any damages that might accure. Better do it!
I’m at around 530 hours and my warranty has been expired for a long time now. Time to test the limits.
Keep on tractoring!
Try the turbo .
Very convincing! Ok 👍
Keep on tractoring!
Not for me. 2380 making payments till 2030
I understand, these machines aren’t cheap and you probably don’t want to void your warranty while you still have it. Maybe after you get it paid off.
Keep on tractoring!
