I have a baby Remington rolling block in was 32 rimfire. I converted it to centerfire . Chambers the 32 long colt. Loaded with black and a healed bullet.

Thank you for this tutorial. I was considering buying a 41 deringer but put off by the already loaded ammo. The rimfire specific reloading kits are expensive as heck, and look like nothing more than Lee hand held tools. I reload for centerfire and figured there was a way to do it. Great info.

Thank you. I like the challenge of getting a firearm in an obsolete caliber firing again.

What would you recommend for reloading. 32 RF long? Can't get my hands on powder or substitutes at the moment so using nail loads would be an amazing alternative to get use out of my antiques!

I use the medium or light loads for my .32.

What rifle are you using. The Steven's garden guns are cast IORN and very brittle can blow up with not using black powder.

I just use a small vise, no tools required at all, I prefer actual bullets over round balls

Could you please tell me what is the distance between the real center of a case and the center of the loads? I am going to make this cases for my revolver. Thanks a lot.

@@mikeharrell4222 Sorry, English is not my native. The powder loads are inserted into .32 sleeve eccentrically. What is the distance between .32 sleeve center and the center of the powder loads?

@@lebensgefahrrr the hole for the powerload is drilled as close to the inside of the case as possible to get the .22 rim close to the .38 rim. the drill bit is touching the inside of the case.

@@mikeharrell4222 Thanks a lot. I've made one case with 1 mm distance between case and powder load centers. It is enough to prick the primer. There is a little place between this holes. Next i wil try with 1.2 mm. I've made this case with 1.5 mm of rim thickness instead of 1.3 mm and it works.

You are using yellow power loads for your rifle. Is it not dangerous to use brown (it is the first grade of that loads) in .32 revolvers like Defender .32 1870?

    • @mikeharrell4222
      @mikeharrell4222  2 года назад

no one can say it's safe without the firearm being checked out.

@@mikeharrell4222 Thansk. I have a little experience with that loads. I used brown hilti loads in my self made on 3d printer double tap pistol. I tried two shots without a bullet. And one with a ball 4.5 mm. Barrels are made of steel. I've made two shots without a bullet and at the second shot with a bullet my pistol blown up :-) But it survived the first :-)

@@mikeharrell4222 I tried brown hilti powder loads. It shots but the bottom of the powder loads case was bloated and it blocks cylinder rotating :-(

Revolvers have a gap between the rear of the cylinder and the frame. Rifles don't have that problem. I don't own any rimfire revolvers so can't say how they will react to loading this way.

@@mikeharrell4222 I tried white powder loads (about 100+-50 Joules instead of brown hilti 150+-50) and it works better. With hilti the outer case was inflated and I can't easily remove it after the shot. With white powder loads cylinder was not blocked after the shot and outer and inner case size are not changed.

What powder level are you using for the load

no powder just the ramset blank. Plenty of power.

Close but not quite there with the yellow tip charge.
