      You should be selling the movie rights to this Cap - a real thriller and the good guys won. US was looking at integrating them into their B-52's, with a potential capacity of 20. US has more than a few B-52's. And I suspect that LRASM can be programmed for time on target IRL than you could possible try to set up. Great stuff.

    Your missile tracking issues may be partly due to server load from the number of assets the game is trying to process at once, essentially its updating each asset less frequently so the course corrections are coming later than they would in a smaller engagement.

    Excellent video and I believe the US has their strategy down to a science in the real world with the latest versions of decoys, rapid dragon and JAASSM/LRASM, extended range HARM. Add to that the AIM-120D3, AIM-260, and several other missiles known to be in early development (but who knows which will make it to full implementation), and finally, the selection process for the NGAD fighter was just announced wtih an initial design decision anticipated in 2024.
    I feel for you Cap! I was going to mention it and then someone said it at the end of the video, just 25% PK rate for all blue missiles, and the reds had all of their damage done by firing only half the number of missiles. So odd.

    I think the F-15 could probably carry 14 MALDs each, 3 on each wing pilon and 4 on each CFT. Some things to note are that the SU-57 would not be used I'm sure you know that already, SU-35s are not stationed in crimea as they kept getting harassed by drones, there are 6 S-400 sites on crimea 4 of which are relevant to this simulation. Another thing is that the black sea fleet has much less capable ships in it with probably the most capable classes being the Krivak-II and the Karakurt

    As the Russians have had problem with Fratricide (SAMs taking out MiGs and SU’s) you should show a SAM taking out 1 or 2 SU’s. Problem with the SU-57’s - The Russians aren’t flying them in Ukraine because they don’t have more than a few of them, and those they have aren’t production versions.
    I was wondering if we could do an ALL Stealth (F-22’s, F-35’s, F-117’s & B-2’s) on the Russian fleet with a “Time on Target Attack” as the Russians did with the Patriot Battery.. I think it would be really good if you could show the effects of stealth in this kind of battle.

    Has anyone IRL sketched out a "missile bucket"? A unmanned and cheap "decoy with teeth" that can be loaded down with missile and flown in large numbers head on into heavy CAP with it's only goal being to get close enough fast enough to fire all it's missile before getting shot down? The tactic I'm thinking of would be to launch missiles that are just good enough to force the reds to expend time, countermeasures and fuel avoiding them. Actually shooting anyone down would be a bonus, but the primary point would be to just keep them occupied and unable to accomplish their defensive mission.

      If the missles are in a tighter group, it's harder to distinguish between individual targets at longer ranges depending on the pulse width. If you're using a long pulse width, you have a longer range but lower resolution. If you're using a short pulse width you get a higher resolution but a shorter range. You can increase the range of a short pulse width with a higher output power, but at a certain point a certain point you run into the principle of diminishing returns.
      I'd recommend you refer to this Wikipedia article for the theory.

    Is it just me or does the 3d model of the ADM-160C look wrong in terms of proportion?

    Cap, I love your videos, watch them daily and always mash the like button. Has anybody ever heard of using the AGM-88 against ship radar? Will the DCS damage model allow you to damage or destroy ship radar?

      It hits ships in game BUT doesn't damage the ship's radar.

    I would like to see a combination of the Bismarck, Tirpitz, and maybe one more? and the Yamato versus the USS New Jersey, USS Wisconsin, USS Alabama, and one other. It just seems like it would be an amazing matchup in my opinion

    How about a small ranger recon team followed but 2 stealth helis to punch a hole in the grid forcing the nearest 2 samsites to stretch then you mald with ground asset designation with a tighter larasm from reapers or hfires

    Does the game see the decoys as several planes or missiles like they supposedly can show up as on radar. Shouldn't you have used HARMS before the others?

    Curious about MALD + JASSM-ER for destruction of enemy air defenses. Could a medium volume strike destroy Russian S-300 and other equipment efficiently?

    • @stupidburp
      @stupidburp Год назад

      Maybe throw some HARM into the mix as well. Then follow up with surface launched drones and missiles to take out any remaining equipment.

    • @stupidburp
      @stupidburp Год назад

      If the Rapid Dragon had been loaded with JASSM ER instead of LRASM, perhaps all of the ground based air defenses could have been destroyed. Then come back the next day to hit the fleet with LRASM. The Russian vessels either flee to Novorossisk or get overwhelmed without ground based SAM cover.
