Lumpectomy Surgery Procedure

Lumpectomy means that a focal area of cancer is going to be removed. A lot of patients with a lumpectomy don’t need any specific breast reconstruction, explains Dr. Miguel Angel Medina, Director of Microsurgery with Miami Cancer Institute.
Al the end of surgical treatment, all those patients go on to need radiation therapy. For patients who have large breasts, physicians have to take a larger lumpectomy than normal.

Why always remove the lymph nodes if is there is no cancer either signal of spread cancer my MRI showed none lymph node affect but she removed it🥵 so it make the recovery 10x times worse painful everyday in painkillers opioids antinflamatories tablets my arm not move it’s numb pin 📌 sharp pains under my arm is a cord my skin is impossible to touch it’s painful hurt so I can’t take shower or wash my hair, either cooking because I need use both hands! It’s very upset unnecessarily procedure! No sense! I feel my surgeon she is a bit psycho enjoying see my face in pain, smile wile I complain of it! Never use social health security you can face a lot of mistakes, narcissistic sociopaths. I regret didn’t go to privet

That's called a mastectomy. In a lumpectomy only the tumor is removed and sometimes some tissue around it but they don't take off the entire breast. I pray things have gone well for you and will continue to do so.
