The book is riveting, and a story that needed to be told. Wonderful to hear Mr. O'Toole describing what happened and the background stories. Thank you for posting.
1:20:04, "Maple Ave in Shrewsbury, ...practically de-Mapled'. Thank you, for this presentation. I do have your book, "Tornado!". My Dad, Charlie Holbrook, 16 years old at the time, was "at the lake". He came home to 10 Brightside Ave, just off Maple Ave - the house was destroyed. Thankfully, my Grandmother, aunt and uncle took cover under a table in the basement. My Grandfather, Lester Holbrook, must've been on his way home from work. All survived and they moved to 14 Eaton Ct, in Wellesley, Ma. My father passed away in 2013; I sure wish I asked him to tell me the story, back when I had the chance. Rest in Peace, Dad.
My father was sent home early, all the worker in this furniture factory were thirsty because of the sultry day so next door bar was full of workers getting relive,a guy come running in saying a tornado ripped up Worcester
my mother in law was 3 years old, and riding in the back of the car. her aunt stopped the car, and they got onto the floorboards and stayed there for hours, fortunately they were missed, but not by much. They were in Worcester to visit a relative that day and to shop. Now in her 70's that day still scares her.
I've seen destruction from other tornados during this time frame and earlier this is definitely something and since it hit New England just shows Tornados can hit anywhere

I've read his book and I can't recommend it highly enough, it's the kind of thing that should be the basis of a compelling movie.
What a shame what became of Mish Michaels. 😢
