Love that air start ❤. Stuff I work on is electric start then our sd70aces are air start. But then again locomotives are way different than the marine world . Thanks for sharing
Come on man...I know the chances are slim that the crankcase level is dangerously low, but check the oil level with the dipstick before pressing the start button. I am envious of the motor driven pre-lube pumps....we had to pump the oil by hand before starting.
Man all I have to do is push a button to start my F-150! You must have waked 100 yards just to get the old girl cranked up. Amazing. What was the purpose of the wing nuts?
Before starting the engines, I crank the engine a few seconds, and this purges moisture out of the cylinders through the "test cocks". Once purged, they are tightened before starting the engine.

This so cool... Subbed here.
You got a pair of GP38s living in there. 😉

While I like the video it doesn't really tell much without audio overlay or subtitles. Neat stuff though.

@@garrettq1 you can also make Shure one of the cylinders is not flooded by some miraculous reason
@@garrettq1 That's one thing I don't understand. I would think that after a few seconds running, the moisture would be gone.
@@ianboard544You are right, you don’t understand…..
@@lookylook570 Why don't you explain it then? I am genuinely curious.
