    That Vermio is underestimated by most. It is a lovely hone. Love the way you use it as a base stone and then take it to the next level! Thanks for a good video

      @@blistersteel are those particular natural stones pricey?

    Interesting video Caleb. Can one use the synthetic nagura (naniwa) be used alone as a mini hone for traveling? I was curious if I could touch up my razor on the go using a 12k nagura.

    Where do you get the graded synth natural?
    Can you use dmt card to make slurry?
    Can you bevel set with coarser Nagura?
    Can you use say a 5000 nagura on a 12k / base stone?

    I'm wanting to try the Vermio and Vermont slate at some point. Probably will be a while. Funny about the Ark slurry. I was in a forum where a newbie asked how to raise an Ark slurry. I advised not to but had "experts" tell the guy to use a DMT. Don't know if the guy tried it or not. I might've been banned from that group as I haven't heard anything from it in a while. Oh well.

      It can happen. Hopefully not in your case.

      @@blistersteel nah. It's another group and not yours. I wouldn't care if I did. Too much drama there. I'll stick to your group.

    Have you ever tried the Welsh slates?

    • @blistersteel
      @blistersteel  5 лет назад

      Yeah.the purple was usually the better of the trio.

      Do you think you can go from bevel set to a purple welsh slate to finish like you can on your Vermont slate?

    • @blistersteel
      @blistersteel  5 лет назад

      Good question. I do not remember having much luck with that .but I need to revisit the Welsh slates so maybe I will find something new soon.

      caleb McCullough do you still have them? I would like to see a video of you using your Vermont slate as your honing videos are addictive to me 😂.

      Aye, I boxed them up a while ago. But I can find them if i put my mind to it.
      I'll record my usual routine with the Vermont slate as soon as possible.
      It's a great stone . It can replace a lot of the more costly stones with a little practice.

    Lol you smell and taste the slurry? ,😅😆 I was meant to believe that they are just pieces of a superstone. I just yake my diamond plate and build a slurry that a way
