Probably one of the best high notes I ever listened to. Mariah is amazing, but you can't compare her to So Hyang. Both are equally good, but very different. So Hyangs mixed register is way better than Mariahs. Mariah was able to belt constantly supported and resonant up to F#5/G5 in her prime, while So Hyang is able to hit substained C6's with mixed voice - of course with resonance and support - constantly. Also So Hyangs head voice is way better, because she constantly sings with support and resonance up to F6. She also sings with full head voice up to A6. Mariahs advantage is her low range, her agility and her whistle register. Her runs are better, she can support lower and she can control her whistle notes very well. Of course Mariahs songs are not made for So Hyang, but Mariah would also struggle a lot to belt So Hyangs Bb5's or even higher notes. Mariah has a very "light" voice - of course womanly and quit low, but it isn't that thick compared to other amazing singers like Whitney Houston etc. So Hyangs voice is definitely noticeably thicker and sounds the best in the mid-upper 5th octave. I think Mariahs songs don't suit her at all. So Hyang is made for gospel music, ballads with super high substained belts or just in general very high songs. Mariahs are just to low, to soft and since So Hyang never sings with a whistle register just not suited for her. Please just check her out before you judge her based on one video where she sings a song that doesn't do anything for her voice and accidently wents flat. So Hyang and Mariah are both two of the best singers of our time and especially because they are so different, it's amazing that we have them both ❤️

Mariah has great control over her whistles, but that's because her agility is insane in general. Mariah and So Hyang are both amazing. They are on the same level. Mariahs low notes are better. She supports down to D3 constantly, while So Hyangs support drops below A3. When we talk about the middle register definitely slays Mariah. Especially above E5. She has some pretty impressive E6 out there and you should check them out. I do agree her A6 was not sustained, but it is impressive (for me) for someone who's tessitura and supported head voice is ending at F6 and main focus/advantage is belting from E5 and above. I just found it cool. I didn't say her A6 is supported. I knew that from the start. Also, did you know it is her highest note live(A6)? Her vocal range may not be the longest but it is very very strong and supported.
