    MJ’s voice changed during puberty just like any other male. He CHOSE to speak in a higher pitched softer voice. That was confirmed by his vocal coach, his manager, Frank Dileo, as well as Lisa Marie. She used to ask him why he didn’t speak in his real voice during interviews and he just didn’t want to. It wasn’t until later in his life he decided to use his normal voice in public. I voted for Vernay!

      Technically, the pitch (frequency) of his voice was pretty normal. I can't remember who, but a musician on RUclips did a analysis of Michael in the studio and explained why Michael's chest speaking voice sounded high to lay people: essentially, he didn't put a lot of "body" behind his voice. This would explain why, when he was with friends, his voice would sound deeper sometimes. He probably spoke very loudly and normally with them.

    His voice did not change much only in the later years of his life. He had such a unique speaking voice that it became part of his persona. Michael Jackson will always remain a mystery to the world. Even after all these years, we are still triggered by his ora. That he is so hard to ignore. That's the definition of a true King!

    As far as the voice goes, MJ is just like everybody else. As they get older their voices start to change slightly and become deeper. This happens with everyone and Michael was no different. Also it all depends on who you're talking to alot of the time that determines how your voice is going to sound at that particular moment. With some people you'll sound enthusiastic and have a higher sounding voice and with some you'll be more laid back and your voice will in alot of cases be much lower in tone.

    I can tell you for a fact that his “personal” speaking voice is deep.. very deep. And when I asked my friend (RIP big John) who was like family to him gong back over 40+ years if I heard what I heard right when Mike spoke to me he said and I quote “ that ninja’s voice is deeper then mine” he followed that up with Mike’s public voice wad like his iconic gloves and socks a gimmick. So from what I encountered the times I was fortunate enough to be in his space, the best way I can describe how deep it was is his voice was like a couple of optics lower than Tito’s. That’s my experience with MJ

    Michael is a total showman so I wouldn't put it past him that he was speaking in a higher pitch. People definitely don't remember him for the '99, '05, '09 speaking voice. People who have encountered him will always tell a story about him while doing the high-pitched voice and it's like the audience finds it so endearing and there's often a chuckle heard somewhere in the audience when the person does the impression of Michael's voice.

    I think mainly his voice changed primarily due to how scared and shy he was from his childhood trauma. It makes me realise how sad his life must have been especially after having no childhood and having a father who doesn't show his love to you and beats you for any mistake. I don't think he faked that voice

    1/22-I voted "Vernay"-A voice teacher once explained that MJ and his brother's
    "soft speaking" voice had a lot to do with their life in private schools. In public
    schools, guys use more "macho voices" and louder voices especially when
    challenged. The Jackson boys were schooled by one teacher while travelling and
    that leads to using a softer voice. Rest In Peace, Michael~~~

  • @karleyjackson6892

    MJ did have a deep voice from time to time. I've heard it. if you watch the Super Bowl one, his voice was a little deeper. But, for the most part I think it stayed the same as it always was. My voice is shy & soft as well when I first speak to people I don't know. I think it's just a personal thing, he was very shy & so am I. Once I get to know you, I speak normally. But if not, I'll do like MJ & speak softer & much quieter. We can change our voices if we want to.

    The hype about his speaking voice was from the haters, because as we saw here, his voice was essentially the same. Every now & then he let some of the bass out, and I think those occasions were when he was truly at ease with the interviewer (we all know how shy he was). Also, ALL of the Jacksons have soft voices, why is Michael's voice such a big deal? Lastly, don't all singers guard & protect their voices??? I'm SOOOO glad you decided to do this reaction, it shows that the hype is just that; Michael was just a normal guy doing extraordinary things - this video proves it.

    Lol, his accent is cute. Most people don't know he is very good at mimicking other speaking voices! This man had his rooms heated to protect his voice and spoke very softly to protect his voice. If you listen to the recorded phone calls, you hear his mimicking also his relaxed and natural voice. Michael got hung up on all the time because people did not think it is really him on the phone lol. Notice his voice was considerably deeper in the TII era because that is his real speaking voice. The warmth of his voice is true and consistent. I am going to vote for Vernay just off the strength of all eras covered in her collection (if I am still able to do so!)

    • @LadyCharity
      @LadyCharity 3 года назад

      I agree with MJ Fangirl that if you are really excited and speaking your voice is naturally higher. However, the difference with Michael is he was more pensive and protective. A softer speaking voice usually can mean higher as well. A deep voice can be associated with getting older perhaps so it takes away from his character. Who he really is can be protected if that makes sense? Idk.

    I used to sing in choir. I have a soft voice to begin with, but all that singing made it even softer! Your throat just gets more delicate.
    Also, when nervous, our voices go higher naturally.
    Finally, Michael had a 4 octave range, so he could use any voice within that range when speaking as well as singing.

    Fax MJFANGIRL MJ’s Voice never really changed as much as we all would like to believe you know I feel in certain occasions he always had his moments of sounding deep or higher but my favorite example of MJ’s voice being the same throughout his whole career is if you take a song like “Fly Away” from the Bad Era you’ll think just from his vocals at the beginning OMG! I swear it could’ve been recorded in the Invincible Era truly MJ’s voice is timeless especially his speaking voice which I believe really never varied as much as his singing voice😉🙌🏽👑💕🔥💯

  • @sajanpatel7285
    @sajanpatel7285 3 года назад +1

    No he didn't make his voice higher. His tone is naturally gentle as you mentioned the family Are pretty much a like this. The other part that people are not aware of is that most singers are advised by vocal coaches and seth riggs being Michaels vocal coach. That for longevity and protecting their Instrument. They must preserve thier voice by not over exerting the vocal chords in their daily life and a big part of that is to speak softly. If you listen to Micheal on say private home movies when he is playing with the kids at neverland you will see he has a deeper voice soft tonality but not high pitched. When he let's himself go in the moment. Michael is a natural high tenner. But has a wide vocal range as seen in the vocal warm ups with seth riggs. Later on in his life he did. Speak with chest voice rather than head voice with gives more bass. I've heard Michael speak at the world music awards in person and his voice is deep.

    I don't find the idea of someone making a conscious effort to raise their natural speaking voice into a higher speaking voice on a daily basis from sun up to sun down while in the presence of others to be something very realistic. I'm no expert on the subject of course it's just that to me it sounds like something that would eventually become draining to do after awhile. Mentally and physically. I think that it's his natural voice.

      Trust me it's not exhausting at all. I also do a different voice since I was 12. Now I'm 25 and I'm still doing it.. You just get used to it and it becomes a part of you.And when I'm with people where I can't use my other voice, it's frustrating.. Like I want to do it everywhere but can't..
      And about MJ's voice, there are just so many people who have said that he indeed had a natural deep voice..
