Yesssssss. Also the warmth of a soup 🍜 or coffee☕️ or tea 🍵. Absolutely amazing. I live in South Carolina so I definitely have yet to experience the full effects of a real winter storm. But I can only imagine.🤩 I’ve always found something so strangely comforting in a raining cold storm. I LOVE snow.⛄️
The love for this is a residue of a time when adequate shelter wasnt guaranteed at all. You dont love the sound of the elements as such but the shelter that protects you. Its the feeling of safety thats let you sleep.

This reminds me of my childhood. Used to live beside the city of Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Some winters were snowy and windy and I used to lay in my warm bed listening to the singing blizzard outside. Feeling really grateful for the warmth of our apartment giving us shelter. Good old times.
As a West Michigan US born, I agree. One of my State's Motto's is "Winter Wonderland". Snow is not foreign to ourselves lol. In fact it's easy to spot a Michigander, we are the Americans wearing shorts in 39 degrees Farenheit, lol .

I used to live in Saint-Petersburg and when I was a kid and I remember the winter there was indeed really cold, I barely have any memories of it but the ones that I have are good ones.
When I was a boy, we lived in a home in the mountains of Colorado. Very isolated. When winter hit we had blizzards like this often. My bedroom was an addition built out over a drop-off where the winds howled all night like this underneath me. Best sleep I ever had.
Hey you. Yes, you. You're probably scrolling through the comments, like I am, reading all these motivational comments. If you are reading this at night, you should get some sleep, and don't stress about everything going on in the world, or what you are going through. Don't dwell on things from the past, don't stress on your future. Just live your life, because you only get one. Do whatever makes you happy, not what other people want from you. For me, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, hit the gym, and cherish life for the amazing blessing that it is. I hope you do the same and have an amazing day as well ❤
Also me i love winter. EVEN I ALMOST DIE DURING A WINTER STORM BY HYPOTHERMIA. I WAS EXPOSED TO FREEZING TEMPERATURES AROUND 2 Fahrenheit for more than 6 hours just covered with blankets and not heater. After that my friends gave me the nickname of SNOW WOLF OR ARTIC WOLF.
I grew up in New England in a home surrounded by the woods. I wasn’t the most social kid and I was happy with my own company. I would spend hours playing outside in the snow, making forts and climbing trees. And every now and then I would just stop and look up. Sometimes I’d just fall back, into the soft snow. And I’d listen. This is the sound I would hear. Ahh, so relaxing. Near silence. It was a simple time of my life, one I miss dearly. Sometimes I wish I could return to it, even just for a moment.
I am a lover of winter, too. Although I grew up in Philadelphia - in a row-house neighborhood with access to nature solely in a nearby park - I understand exactly what you mean.

I have listened to this every night for sleep for atleast 6 months. After searching high and low on RUclips for different sleep/relaxation videos, I have found one that really does wonders, this is truly a God Sent
Works for me also. Reared in a farmhouse in the West of Ireland I was lulled to sleep at night by the equally strong but milder zephyrs of the Atlantic.
This video has been a life saver for the past 8 months! My 8 month old baby needs white noise to sleep, specifically wind sounds. This video works like a charm every single time. We’ve tried other videos and they just don’t work. We are so thankful for this!
@Kel'Thuzad too hot but it’s easier for body. I was totally exhausted in winter because it was really cold and snowy here in Ukraine this year. But now in summer i feel much better… a lot of energy, sun rays, vitamins and fresh vegetables. A lot of good things.
Just imagining myself laying in bed in one of those houses, sleeping under the warm blanket while the cold gust of wind passes through the outside, waking up in the morning, looking out the window seeing this scenery, drinking a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Sigh... I wanna experience that.

Despite living in a tropical country where there is virtually no winter, I love this icy landscape and the noise of the wind blowing. I feel relaxed and with a great inner peace.

This is where I live, along with my folks and sister and her family in the adjacent cabins. We have plenty of firewood for the winter and our food supply will last us months. We have frozen and dried meats, preserved fruits, nuts and seeds. Right now I'm resting in my coziest chair, beneath a pair of quilts, beside the fireplace. I have a shelf full of books but I'm a bit too tired to read. Perhaps I'll just close my eyes and listen to the wind whip against the window panes. The world is scary sometimes, but I am at peace now in my simple cabin, in the remotest of places, beneath the blanket of snow.
Imagine being in the 1800's and you got yourself a little shack like that with a fireplace to try and keep you warm in these conditions. Our forebears were hardy folks.
I watched a reconstruction of George Washington's cabin. He wrote down all the dimensions of the cabin,fireplace,etc.. . I forget exactly but the fireplace walls we're every bit 2 feet wide or thick. Logs were used to give it structure and then clay mixed with straw was packed in for stability. Ofcourse it narrowed some going up to the chimney but it had to be stout. So I believe they would pack on massive layers and keep that fire raging . Still I'm sure it would get very cold.
@@jomormont If they had time to build the Vikings faired alot better. They actually basically buried their houses! Yes it'd be like a low mound with a door entrance. Well the entrance would be built back with an overhang. Very well constructed and would keep them very warm.
I honestly love winter. Something about the wind howling, snow falling peacefully at night while looking out your window, fresh snow on trees beautifully decorating them. My favourite thing is being in bed with cozy blankets and listening to the stories of the wind 🌬 much love from Canada

I know most people think I'm nuts but I love winter! Especially now since I'm retired. But seriously, There's something mystical and magical about a snow storm. The stillness and calm while it's snowing, especially at night, is a perfect way to center myself. Thank you for sharing. I know what I'm listening to tonight when I go to bed!
I prefer winter over summer. I’ll take -10 over 90 and humid. I live in MN, so I’m very familiar with snowstorms. Make sure you’ve got AWD and good tread on your tires. A 4-wheeler is even better!
It's a lot easier to love a winter storm when you're retired. You don't have to get up an hour early to shovel the driveway so you can get to work, and since you don't have to go to work you can sleep in and just enjoy the beauty of the storm!
This reminds me of the night I spent up at the resort. I was a Lifty and if we expected HEAVY snowfall over night we knew they would close the canyon till the next day. Some of us were chosen to spend the night up on the mountain so we could at least open the lifts up and get ready for a mass crowd on a snowday. I spent the night in the liftshack listening to the wind and snow...Best job I EVER had. They had to spend almost an hour digging me back out in the AM...Was a helluva storm...
Feels weird watching this again. Last time I was listening to this, i was studying for my master's. Now, 3-4 years later, i'm listening to this once again as i work on a report in my career job. Gosh how time flies

I find sounds like this so soothing and fall right to sleep especially when I'm really in a storm. I don't know what it is - perhaps it's a genetic memory or something from a past life. I'm so calm right now listening to this. What a beautiful planet we live on that we can experience such beauty in the forces of nature.
That sounds amazing. I love winter so much and especially when it snows. Commuting, being home or at the university and looking out the window to the beautiful snow falling, anything at all the winter makes wonderful. Though, last year we barely had any snow and it was really horrible. It snowed heavily for like a day and then the snow was gone in around 3 days and that was it. Really couldn't enjoy it.
beautifully said, it gives me stillness and I feel love for nature and this beautiful world. not completely free of thoughts but a very calming effect.
We’re having a low tonight of about 27 F . Thank you Jesus that I have a warm place to sleep . I pray for the homeless. Please help me Lord to never take your blessing for granted .

We live in golden ages because we get to listen to whatever we want to nowadays from ocean waves hitting coastline, rain drops on windows or howling wind.
Growing up in one of the coldest major cities on earth, in Canada, this is my favourite thing! I love winter storms. I really don't like hot summer days at all.
Omg. I’ve been living in Alabama for a month. Originally I’m from South Carolina. But I can’t help but love the cold. That one snow a year would always be the highlight. Also hate these dang bugs. When I move out I’m totally going somewhere chilly❄️🥰
I live in Colorado, as does my family. When we were kids my dad used to take us hunting in the Rockies in the wintertime. I cannot describe to you how winter and snow makes me feel. Everyone gets spring and sunshine. Not many people get to experience a snow storm in the Rockies in dead of winter. When it does down, the whole world looks magical and sparkly. At night it is so quiet and the sky is pink and the ground glitters. It is other-worldly. Even typing about it is making me nostalgic. Good thing it’s September... winter is almost here.

NOW WITH THAT BEING SAID HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! ""
Sweden in the years 1962 and 1963 it was cold and very snowy where I lived. This winter there has been nothing. It has been boring, gray and sad when you only have daylight 6 hours in the winter. I feel good about snow on the ground which makes the days a little brighter.
How about the 70s. Got some real doozies then. Snow piled up to the second story. We had 3 or 4 storms that decade, we had to get out from the bedroom windows on the second floor. Open the front door and a wall of snow. That one was the worst. 3 day blizzard.
I really needed this right now. My life has been nothing but stress, and something about imagining myself in harsh weather conditions helps my brain to simplify my understanding of the world for a short time and just breathe. Everything will work out the way it needs to. I am confident in my ability to endure this storm. Thank you so much.

I just listened to the full 6 hours without sleeping. It helps that there really is a snow storm outside my window right now. Put on a bit of Skyrim music in another tab at very low volume, and you got yourself the most relaxing day ever.
I play this on my phone and connect to a high quality Bluetooth speaker strategically placed on the bedroom window sill behind the curtains! I swear it’s like being there! Incredible!!
For some reason this soothes me. Brings back memories of growing up in Michigan. The snow outside, wind blowing, sound of snow crystals hitting the window pane, fireplace crackling and the smell of the wood and candles, a warm down comforter, hot tea and shortbread cookies. Maybe hot apple cider. Piano playing , getting ready when the wind stops to go skating on the pond and shovel the rink, ice forming on the weeping willow and the smooth unspoiled snow drifts. Moon breaking through and turning the night into a blue glow.

Sam Pezzack not at all my baby and I listen to it and it make me appreciate warmth and shelter even though it’s late in the month of May.. This sound reminds me of a night I spent camping alone in February, the wind was howling and snow was blowing but my little tent was warm and cozy as can be.
Yes it’s a feeling that has helped us survive, the sound of rain or wind against a structure is biologically associated with safety because those sounds are signals that we are safe from the elements which can very much kill us
I absolutely love winter and westerns and each time as I listen to this sound, I imagine myself being apart of a caravan moving across the blistering mountains to California to start a new life. Our wagons are filled with strong men, determined women, crying babies and sleeping children. But first, we must make our way through the freezing temperatures and dreadful winter snow storm. Before we all freeze to death, we see the beauty of smoke rising from beneath a pot- belly stove filled with smell of green cedar wood. We survive, we feast and we rest before moving on before the rising of the sun.
"Dear diary... Snow again today for the 19 souls in my part of the Donner party wagon train... party of 18... party of 17? Wait, I must be counting wrong. I could have swore we started out with more people before supper time, wft? Oh well, the wind is howling but, at least I have this warm tunic that Harold had made me from the strangest leather I have ever felt... most supple :) "
I live in a converted Mercedes Sprinter van. It's like a tiny house on wheels. Often I park near a favorite nature reserve , turn the small sirocco fan on beside my head and play this video while I read or write . The power of this sound to sooth the soul is like a secret among us here who bother to grasp its essence. It's healthy qualities are profound. Endebted to the producer . Thank you 😇😊😊💯🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I've always loved the wind since I can remember. I've found out that many people don't. I'm not so crazy about snow, but when it's breezy I am so happy.
Taking notes while listening to this makes me feel like a traveler in the 18th century, trapped in his home, damned to the harsh winter. Writing in my diary debating whether or not to use it as tinder to keep the fireplace going. But alas, in my humble cabin, I find comfort knowing my writing immortalizes my thoughts for the weeks to come. The winter outside is brutal, harsh and merciless. But I’m here by my fire, writing by candlelight. Have a good night, ye who find this, and bundle up. Signed, Sir Name McNameFace

The most beautiful feeling that when you lay down on a warm bed and listening to that sound coming from out side.
I totally agree with that!!
Or at the window with a warm drink like a coffee or chocolate milk
Plus the sound of a crackling fireplace
When it storms here really bad, I can actually hear the wind howling in my kitchen

One thing that I love about the mountains is the isolation, from the traffic, the people, and everything else that life has to throw at you.

what I don't like about the mountains is the bitter cold, strong winds, and wild animals that life has to throw at you.

Imagine the Vikings.

Only the coolest people are on this side of RUclips
I’m deployed in the Middle East for the military. I sleep in a dark room with no windows in a two story metal structure. It’s 96 degrees and it’s 3:00AM in the morning. Listening to this, it temporarily allows me to forget I’m in the desert. Lol
Respect!
Thank you! It’s cool to see just how many different people use this
Are you captured?
Are u dead yet ?
Are u fucked yet ?
This is the best storm on RUclips.
We live in golden ages because we get to listen to whatever we want to nowadays from ocean waves hitting coastline, rain drops on windows or howling wind.
I never realized until I was an adult that all of my greatest memories took place when it was cold outside
Sounds like Winnipeg
Oppressive brutal high wind chill cold
And humid unbearable heat waves all summer
I too live in Winnipeg
born in Winnipeg - lived there for 45 years. One day I will come home. ;)

Lost in the notes, I find a sense of serenity that is truly refreshing. 🎶🌊
I will go then, next winter
Is it snowing now? Happy holidays.

I've been in some bad snowstorms, anybody else old enough to remember the 80's when we got really bad winters?
"" SEEMS LIKE NOT TO MANY PEOPLE UP HERE REMEMBER THOSE GOOD OLD DAYS..... I KNOW I DO, I CAN STILL REMEMBER WHEN WE MOVED OVER HERE FROM P.R BACK IN 82, THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE THAT I SAW SNOW....AND LET ME TELL YOU IT SNOW POUND FOR POUNDS! IT SNOWED SO MUCH THAT YOU WAS ABLE TO DIVE IN IT LIKE DIVING IN WATER....... COULDN'T EVEN MAKE SNOW ANGELS THAT'S HOW DEEP IT WAS! TELL YOU ONE THING HAD A GREAT TIME THOUGH, AND ENJOYED EVERY BIT IT. NOT BECAUSE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I WITNESSED SNOW TOO, BUT BECAUSE IN THOSE DAYS IT TRULY SNOW A LOT, EVEN IN THE COMING YEARS TO COME......THE 80's WERE WHITE WINTERS, THE SNOW DEFINITELY CAME DOWN HEAVY AND NON-STOP!!!!!!! YOU HAD TO LIVE IT TO BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT...... HOWEVER, IT CERTAINLY LOOKS LIKE THIS YEAR IS THE YEAR THAT'S GOING TO TO BRING BACK MEMORIES OF THOSE DAYS! NOW WITH THAT BEING SAID HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! ""
@@noelvingarcia9307 Yes, I do. Not anymore though. Seems like we did away with that.
Yes Remember ; anyone Remember the Blizzard in 1972 or 73?
I was in a storm once in Colorado that was somewhat like this. It is very humbling. As if you are in the presence of a magnificently powerful being.
It's just the wind. Lots of people think there's a thermostat for the planet.

1.1 k dislikes. Just one question: what did these people want to hear? dark ambient melodies or some celtic metal?
Absolutely dark ambient!!!
But I love this
These people feed on comments like yours, the less you comment them, the less they have energy.
Hey, LEAVE Metal out of it, alright! Lol.
probably wanted a black screen version or expected slightly different wind varriations?
I really needed this right now. My life has been nothing but stress, and something about imagining myself in harsh weather conditions helps my brain to simplify my understanding of the world for a short time and just breathe. Everything will work out the way it needs to. I am confident in my ability to endure this storm. Thank you so much.

I just listened to the full 6 hours without sleeping. It helps that there really is a snow storm outside my window right now. Put on a bit of Skyrim music in another tab at very low volume, and you got yourself the most relaxing day ever.
Get lost
I listen to this almost every day to drown out the voices of my co-workers so that I can focus. Thanks!
LOL Been there done that!👍
I play this on my phone and connect to a high quality Bluetooth speaker strategically placed on the bedroom window sill behind the curtains! I swear it’s like being there! Incredible!!
Good idea! :)

It's so hot and humid today that I'm playing one of these for the first time. Think cool!

I've always loved the wind since I can remember. I've found out that many people don't. I'm not so crazy about snow, but when it's breezy I am so happy.
The cold is such a relief, it's impartial but yet clings to you like the embrace of a loved one. Such a beautiful thing.
I'll never understand it but this has to be the most soothing, calming sound to me and the only thing that I can really sleep through soundly.

Its July and I need this audio to trick my brain into a comfy winter mood
Taking notes while listening to this makes me feel like a traveler in the 18th century, trapped in his home, damned to the harsh winter. Writing in my diary debating whether or not to use it as tinder to keep the fireplace going. But alas, in my humble cabin, I find comfort knowing my writing immortalizes my thoughts for the weeks to come. The winter outside is brutal, harsh and merciless. But I’m here by my fire, writing by candlelight. Have a good night, ye who find this, and bundle up.
