Can multiple enemies fire at a moving unit without doing a group shoot / crossfire? As in enemy squad A shoots at moving unit, fails, and then enemy squad B immediately fires at the same moving unit?
Good stuff! Question: if I declare a group move for 3 squads (A, B & C) to get to (and enter) house X, must all 3 squads try to get to house X, irrespective of what happens en route (for example, 2 of the 3 squads - A & B - getting pinned by reactive fire)? Must squad C still try to get to the house?
if you order a "Group move" and your first or second unit is suppressed, do the remainder still attempt their move before losing initiative? Otherwise, why not just order 1 squad at a time?
Will you explain the game whilst playing it in the upcoming demo playthrough that you said at the end of the video or are you aiming to show a real uninterrupted game?
Yes, although there are another couple of options. A single move action can be: (1) from one area terrain feature to another; (2) from an area terrain feature to the open; (3) from the open to an area terrain feature. Linear terrain features are handled a bit differently: move up; move across; move away = three move actions.
Hey there, hope you're doing fine. I've question about movement. You and some other players mentioned that movement is "unlimited" until it is interrupted. But I know read that movement is also limited by terrain features. For example you can't enter and leave a specific terrain feature (P. 3 to 4) in the same round. Does this include every terrain feature like rough ground, forrests, depressions and hills, or just specific terrain obstacles like buildings, ruins, bunkers etc. pp. Thanks for your time, stay healthy!
You can't enter and leave any single terrain feature in the same move action (not round). This is basically saying you can't move through a wood (for example) and beyond as a single move. You must end your action on entering the wood and begin another to leave it. This can be immediately following. This allows for reactive fire as you enter the wood and as you leave it and prevents you moving out of line of sight of your opponent without giving them a chance to react by shooting.
Thank you for making these videos to promote Crossfire, Paul. Nicely explained and with beautiful models and terrain!
Another great and informative video - thanks
Thank you. I'm glad you're finding them helpful.
big fan of your website and have made terrain based off it.
Looking forward to the next one, and to seeing it all put together in a game in progress. Thanks
Great videos Paul! Just keep at it :-)
Excellent videos and very helpful to new Crossfire players. 👍🏻
Thank you, I'm glad you found them useful.
Great videos. Really helpful please keep publishing! 👍
I'm glad you find them useful. there's a few more to come.
Is the retreat move only for the unit that was attacked?
No, any unit can make a retreat move.
I still in "class" well done

No. You get one chance for reactive shooting for each move your opponent makes so multiple units can only shoot if they use a group shoot/crossfire.
Great video thanks but could the British in cover no shoot the machine gun ?
They could certainly give it a go if they wanted to.
I would be interested in your tank rules
My house rules for tanks are here: www.matakishi.net/crossfire-tanks.html

Yes. Once you declare a move you must attempt to carry it out.

Yes. A group move allows you to try to get the whole group to where you want them before any initiative switch.

It will be edited and explained.
Can you shoot if you are prone?
Yes, prone squads can shoot as normal.
This has been a great series of videos.
But to clarify the move action has to be in a straight line from one piece of terrain to another?
Yes, although there are another couple of options. @@MatakishiTeaHouse Thanks. I misunderstood action and round.
