Last year we went to Svalbard in Norway and then to the Faroe Islands. I was blown away by the Faroes. Incredibly beautiful, clean, sophisticated and elegant. I had no idea. I saw my first blue whale, did ocean SUP, cliff diving, hiking and shopping. We had a weekend seeing the Puffins as well. I have never seen so many waterfalls. So glad you are highlighting this amazing place!!
I've fallen in love with ferry travel too Jess - and now you've just added another to my list!! The ferries in Scandinavia are truly like cruise ships aren't they!?
I absolutely loved this video soo so much! Jess can you share where you bought the white pants you are wearing i absolutely love your style !! 😍 can’t wait to see more of the travels !!
This is like the number one in my list of places I wanna see. I am so happy and also a little jealous to see you guys go there! 😅 thanks for the video❤
Sending you so much love from Hawaii! To think, I didn't want yall to leave Norway, but it just continues to get better! Mahalo for sharing your adventures with us.
I didn't even know this place existed! Thank you for showing me. I also researched puffins and they are pretty fascinating! Love you guys, thank you for making beautiful content!
Hunter has a poetic mind ... " it is making a spider web" ... " we are floating in a bubble with other people".. Suggestion write down what she says and keep it a book for her all it " hunter's quips or some such thing" ... Always told my friend to do that with her child and she has forgotten over the years the clever things he said as a child ..I remember a lot of them for her but she knew so many more then I did because she was with him 24/7 for 18 years
This same boat used to stop in Shetland where I'm from (🏴) and we went on a school trip on it to Iceland and Faroe ❤️ would have been around 2007 i think!
These ferries you have taken are soo nice!! The food looks amazing, the hot tub, the chilling room/game rooms, and those beds look comfy!! Wow I am sold!! I have never heard of Faroe Islands wow absolutely picturesque !! Puffins are so cute!! If Hunter can do that hike by herself than I can definitely do it LOL
That place was amazing and especially seeing all the puffin penguins. Can't wait to see the Iceland trip.. Stay safe in iceland..the kids had a great time.
My anxiety went through the roof seeing you standing so close to the edge when looking at the puffins 😂 (fear of heights). The Faros Islands looks stunning. Adding that to my bucket list for sure. 💜
Wow, those puffins are just the cutest! 😍 I never knew they were so abundant there. Makes me wanna grab a camera and go snap some pics too! 📸 Plus, watching you guys is like being on the adventure with you, love it! Keep exploring, can't wait for the next video! 🌍✨
@@flyingthenest A great trip! Iceland is very beautiful. But, I was there in 1985 and I was just 14.... Always wanted to go there again because I loved the place ❤ The memories are still strong of everything we did and experienced ❤
I was there for eight days some years ago. Can’t be described 🥰 I got loads of pics and videos, but they just don’t show the feeling of greatness of standing there ♥️🔥
Hunter has such a cute laughter and sometimes it sounds indeed a little evil :D And the room was amazing and that ship looks amazing lots of stuff to do. And puffins so so amazing.
I can't thank you enough. It looks like we are also travelling with you guys. We love your videos so much specialy my kids. We watch them every single day. Watching you all the way from Australia, Naracoorte SA
OMG, this is amazing! We went on Norröna From Bergen via Faroe Islands to Iceland, June 1994. Yes it went Denmark-Faroe Islands-Bergen- Faroe Islanda- Iceland and reverse back then. The boat was much smaller then and there were 1 TV for the whole ship... art 20 inches or similar. LOL. This summer I got to revisit Iceland for 2 weeks (8-21/7) with my 22y.old son. Amazing trip. I wanted to revisit the town of Seyðisfjörður where Norröna has its port in Iceland. So many memories and so much that I had forgotten or stored back in some well hidden memory box. Now I'm gonna keep watching this Faroe Islands vlog.
Very cool. Have to come here one day. We are leaving for Iceland on november 4, so very excited what you are gonne show us. Too bad I will not see you there 😁
i really admire how you travel around the world with two little ones! I've been wondering how all this traveling affects the kids' health. We also travel a lot with our three-year-old, but it always seems like he gets sick afterward. I need to learn that sense of calm from you - not dressing them too warmly. I’m not sure how cold it was, but seeing the kids outside in strong winds without hats or coats... I couldn't have gone out without a scarf, hat, and coat! 🤣🤣
"The books are all in Danish" - *picks up a classic Icelandic story, in Icelandic 😁 Heheh 😁 Loved the video and the whole Nordic series. Hope I can visit the Faroe Islands one day, we Icelanders feel like they are our little sibling 😁 So cute and cozy! Can't wait to see you experience Iceland with the kids 🥰

Wow wee! what an amazing place in the middle of the North Sea, we thought that La Vagabond went to semi-remote places but you guys are so unique and unbelievably incredible that we would love anywhere you all go to. Just think 20 years we had lonely planet but now we have the beautiful Fly the Nest!! Thank you for such a great episode, informative, detailed, costs, food and best of all “UNO”. Until next episode thank you, travel safe and god bless. 😇🙏🤩🚐
The Faroe Islands function as their own country in many respects because they are geographically distant from Denmark-located about 1,300 kilometers away in the North Atlantic-and have their own distinct language, Faroese, which is entirely different from Danish. These factors contribute to their unique cultural identity, setting them apart from Denmark.
But to say that visiting the Faroe Islands isn't visiting a new country simply because it's part of a kingdom based elsewhere-come on. I'm not denying their political association with Denmark, but calling the Faroe Islands or Greenland 'Denmark' overlooks their unique cultures, languages, and identities. They may be politically connected, but they are very much distinct places.
@steinarhaugen7617 The Faroe Islands do not belong to Denmark like Denmark owns it, but is a part of the Danish Kingdom, just as Greenland is. Iceland was also part of the Kingdom of Denmark until the end of World War II, but then Iceland decided to be there own country.
What a Fantastic trip to the Faroe Islands 😍 Puffins are just the most amazing Bird . Can understand why you fel in love with it. Jesse 😜. Oh IJsland next exciting looking forward to your Next Adventure there 😊 Safe Travels 🥰
Firstly I have to say that I love this vid. Mabye someone already has made you aware of this - When you sayed that the oldest Ting is in Iceland I'am sad that I have to correct you because this is simply "wrong".and then again not wrong, sounds simple right🤔 Historians are quit sure that the oldest Ting in the world is either the one we saw in your vlog Tinganes, or it is a Ting in one of the Channel Isle, I think it is the one on the Isle of Man. When I wrote "wrong" like that it is because the Ting on the Faroe Islands has been on that exact same spot since the 8th or 9th Century, as the one in Iceland has moved around following the power
I had never heard of the Faroe Islands. They are so beautiful! Seeing Hunter walk through the meadow was just so lovely and the Puffins! So Cute!! Am I right that they are very volcanic?
We booked on the Smyrl line from Denmark to Faroe islands, you can continue on to Iceland with them, but it drops you off on Eastern iceland not Western, so you would need to then say fly to Reykavik!
The Vikings met at the Ting to decide on topics related to the community. This is reflected in today's Nordics, where the Parliaments are called Stortinget- The big Ting (Norway), Folketinget- The people's Ting (Denmark), and Alltinget - Everyone's Ting (Iceland).
The infrastructure of this nordic countrys is so sick, i've never seen this much tunnels with round abouts and underwater as well, amazing what people can do
This channel is such a positive space for families!

I love when he says all the books are in danish ! and then shows a book in faroneese 🙂
Actually that book is in Icelandic. But close enough
I cannot stand how cute puffins are. I would cry if I saw them in person! Stunning video!
Sadly there and in Iceland it is still quite common to catch and cook them.
And delicious!
