I think it’s even crazier when you understand that they let Tom CHOOSE his last line. That wasn’t the writers, that was “Loki” (the persona Tom has crafted over the last decade and more). He tied it all together perfectly with that line.
I've never liked Loki as a character. I thought he was ok at first. But his Hero arc made me adore Loki's character. I think its because of the sacrifice and redemption arc .
I LOVE IT when people make their own spin on mythology. And no one can convince me that tree Loki formed wasn’t a reference to the Norse mythology WORLD TREE.
It was a reference. The issue here is that people that IS the world tree and it isnt. The 9 realms are on the teee including Asgard and earth. That time loom tree is something far greater.
@@shihoblade its either the Yggdrasil and Loki's tree are different, that Loki consciously or unconsciously formed the timelines into a tree as a homage to the world tree that he learned about during lessons as a child, OR since Loki is outside of Time, he and the tree now had always existed in All Time, past present future. And because of that, some people in the Nine Realms (sorcerers, witches, oracles, or whatever beings that have some sensitivity/ability relating to time and fate and etc.) in the past became somewhat aware that existence has always been held together by a tree and just didnt know that it held not just the nine realms but the whole of multiverse. And the knowledge/story trickled to earth from other realm visitors long ago and became norse mythology. And also why the Time stone is green, because of Loki's magic Tbh I thought the second one would be more epic, and would match with the fact that He Who Remains was outside of time and was born in I think a 30XX year? But despite being born in the future, he's outside time so it became so that he'd always existed since the beginning and exists at the end of time, and can influence things in years before 30XX. Unless someone who worked on Loki made an official explanation?
This show, in addition to just being very good, did the same thing that Tales of the Jedi did for Dooku. It didn’t just show more of him, it showed *more* of him. I was kinda indifferent before but now I really like him as a character as a result. The video did a great job at putting it all together at once, too, since I haven’t seen some of the old MCU movies in a long time. Great work!
Fantastic video! Loki series is one of my favourites after Endgame despite the decline of the current MCU (alongside No Way Home and GOTG3) A Fantastic series that gave Loki the best character development in the whole franchise since Tony Stark. Tom Hiddleston casted as Loki and returning after the character was killed off near the end of the infinity saga were two of Marvel’s best decisions definitely. This video was a brilliant essay explaining perfectly why I personally loved both seasons of the series and the journey the character has endured over the years. Keep up the good work.
i mean also, from my life experience, to find your position in this world, you first have to realize your insignificant, and I think the moment shook him more than his own end (which he understand because that's what he would do and he knew it deep down), is the moment he realized what he thought was ultimate power in the universe once, is just paper weight to some. I always look back to Man in Black ending, where our galaxy is merely a toy for some higher been. Not saying I believe in god, but main character syndrome is unavoidable for anyone. And we are not wrong, we are our own life's main character. But that is not who we are, that just means we get to make choices, even thought not all of them, but some. Not a throne or wealth define who we are, nor knowledge or wisdom, that's what we can take. We are defined by what we can give.
Wonderful essay ❤ I am so touched now, no matter that this is the 4829372 movie essay about Loki arc I saw - you talk exactly about the reasons why I adore Loki arc so much and I could lived the whole journey of him once again 😭💛 Wish you many subscribers, so more people could see your work here! ❤

i like that in the earlier movies he calls freedom such a big lie, but by the end the god of lies chose to deliver it to everyone
Wow, that was glorious!! Thank you so much for that 🙏❤️🔥
This video made me appreciate Loki even more, you deserve so many more views than you get. I really hope your channel manages to take off soon

Any other MCU character that you guys think deserves a full arc video 👀?
How about his brother thor
One about the Guardians would be great!
What about the guy that causes avengers civil war?
@@Theboredgod zemo is a great pick
@@AaliyanKapWrites oh thanks, so you gonna make a video about him? Well anyways I'll be tuned for the next video 👍
