HENRY THURLOW 🛐 The first director not from Japan to direct a One Piece episode, and holy sweet Mother Caramel did he pop off. From the opening B&W montage of Kid's journey, to the very western style fluid Disney like animation for Big Mom, to her Misery attack being absolutely terrifying way beyond how it looked in the manga, to Law's devastating Puncture Willie, and Kid's Damned Punk. Fantastic episode, spectacular adaptation. Hats off Henry Thurlow, great job mate!!!
I feel like the beginning of the episode coming back later like a flash forward without us knowing the context until it happens later on feels extremely unique to one piece so it being a non japanese director might explain that.

This episode is most likely the best episode I've ever seen for the entire One Piece series. The animation was highly top notch and the way how Big Mom is animated and speaking is on another level of high quality!
The episode name WITHOUT ANY MUSIC was too cold man. Didn’t expect it❤. Also the S and N is South and North poles. Since kid has awakened his devil fruit, he can assign poles to even non magnetic things and make them attract/ repel, if I’m right. Anyone who doubted laws power is real quiet now. I am not mad they ended the episode like that! Since the sanji fight, Toei increased the pacing of the anime, this fight could've been split and dragged much longer so I am happy that is not the case.
