Gas shielded flux cored welding (sometimes referred to as "dual shield") is a topic that we've had lots of requests for lately. Before we get into various testing videos where we will dive deep into technique and different applications, we are going to introduce everyone to the basics. This video should give you an idea of what settings on your machine will do to your weld bead.
FCAW is no different than TIG, MIG and Stick when it comes to practicing. The first thing that you will want to do is to run as many straight line beads as you can. Run straight lines until you can't screw it up, then run some more.
