Me too! Remember dating a guy in Colchester who said his lecturer was Damon Albarn's Dad and I was like meh from 1991 to 2024. Fell in love with them hard this year! And it's true, true love!!
I'd be hard pushed to choose my #1 Blur song, but if I really really had to... this one. Normally the last they play live and it chokes me EVERY time, no matter how many times I see them playing it. And I've seen them a fair few times!
@fensterfred Soccer Saturday, Soccer am. We use the term soccer when we feel like it but when others (mainly Americans) use it we tend to get all upperty. It’s actually a word spawned on these shores….it comes from association in association football.
+draft 16 Sums up Vedder perfectly for me. His act frequently seems contrived and rehearsed to me. That people fill stadiums to see this guy boggles the mind.
Just a gorgeous rendition. Later with Jools Holland always seemed to bring out the best performances in artists. Pretty ballsy to assemble and arrange all that for a stint on a BBC TV programme. I remember seeing Pulp do "I Spy" that year late(r) one night and it stopped me in my tracks. Bravo.
Mr.Someone sometimes people don’t listen to things properly or they’re listening through bloody awful headphones. Investing in a very good set of headphones is the way to go imo. I know headphones are very subjective but I find myself going back to bowers and Wilkins P7 , they seem to have the soundstage that suits my listening preferences although I do have five different sets of headphones depending on what I’m listening to lol.
@@Eleventhearlofmars I have Beyerdynamic DT770 pros, probably the best headphones i've ever owned. Still yet to explore others, maybe once i have more money lmao.
Mr.Someone yep they’re a nice set of cans you have, I’m done with wires personally now though because the wireless headphones tech has certainly moved forward recently, I do have a wired set of cans but haven’t used them for time.
It really, really, really could happen Yes, it really, really, really could happen... When the days they seem to fall through you, well just let them go... ✨
To old to get into Blur but this song was used by ITV after England won the Rugby World Cup and a tear always comes to my eyes when I hear this supurb song!

Damn his voice can go into hypnotic-cello mode. So cool.
heindiwest Spot on.
Can't express how much I adore this description...perfectly said my dude
Like my friends said, this is not a song, this is better, this is an anthem
my favorite blur song.
Mine too
Mine too ❤
Not only you brother...this is our Favorite blur song...one of the best song ever made....masterpiece
Mine too
Marvellous. Taken me a long time to come round to Blur, but a love in middle-age is the most enduring kind...
True for me too, wasn't sure how to say it but you did it for me........
Actually me too. Found some of their stuff ok, but seems to have matured... along with myself...!!!
Me too! Remember dating a guy in Colchester who said his lecturer was Damon Albarn's Dad and I was like meh from 1991 to 2024. Fell in love with them hard this year! And it's true, true love!!
The Universal, the song and video that made me fall in love with Blur remains my favorite to this day. And they've written several masterpieces❤
Loved this song for ages. It helped me get through the pandemic and the lockdown in 2020.
I'd be hard pushed to choose my #1 Blur song, but if I really really had to... this one.

This n end of a century xx
He perfectly predicted how superficial and shallow the world was about to become 👍
Cj M its been like this for centuries man lol
Cj M hardly a prediction, the world has always being this way
NostraBLURus ! They came from the future !
I said in 2017 that the internet was going to be really big.
The song is about the masive media control and the new world order
I love how Damon sings an epic masterpiece while looking like he just came back from a soccer match.
I know right hahaha
….they think it’s all over….it is now.⚽️

Damon’s voice is just amazing. This is one of my all time favourite songs. It’s a masterpiece
The cellist is having a class time
....must be Tracy Jacks
@@taurangasurf …or Colin Zeal.
He’s pretty pleased with himself, after all.
The best Blur song. A beautiful song, beautifully performed.
Oh my god!!! This takes me back to when it was always summer and life was happy.
I've listened this song so many times but everytime I'm listening again breaks my heart in two, love you 4EVER blur
it breaks my heart to see damon display a persona to deflect his emotions
Hyde Park, 2012 was pretty gut-wrenching.
damon was a pretty charismatic frontman. being too transparent/sincere can often be boring from the pov of the audience.
+draft 16

Fakename70 you must be fun, at parties, mate 😂
crying as always with this beautiful song, thank you Damon, thank you Blur for this work of art
Mi adolescencia, mi juventud es Blur y Oasis, y los dos son increibles
Well that was really really really awesome. Simply a masterpiece.
As a 62 year old man this song fills me with hope that we might see through the bullshit, but makes me weep because we haven't yet.

SOMEONE BLOODY TURN UP GRAHAMS GUITAR
The classical instruments are what make this song.
@@Eleventhearlofmars plus his guitar is very audible anyway..

Adore this song
Blur’s finest hour
Love love love❤❤❤ till this day, will never gets old
My favorite classical music
Em tempos de crise, nada como escutar uma bela música e acreditar no onipresente e universal !
My favourite Blur song. Bring back alot of memories
"Grand Designs, brought to you with British Gas...." hahahahahah
TheGalwayFarmer Hahaha good one
Damon is a genius
This is awesome live song. I forgot how good Damon was.
listen to the Joe Dolan version brilliant ( Jools Holland gave him this song as the best version he had ever heard ) in memory of Joe RIP.
이 노래 너무 좋아서 그레이트 이스케이프 앨범도 샀는데 ㅋㅋ
Sing a lot to this song in this crazy 2020...and now 2021....just let them go....😭😭😭
I got Parklife on CD on this day in 1994 ❤️ so nice to revisit Blur 💙(25/12/94)
Totally amazing
The perfect musical antidote to all those music fans suffering from U2itis
To old to get into Blur but this song was used by ITV after England won the Rugby World Cup and a tear always comes to my eyes when I hear this supurb song!
Genius
that little mistake dave makes at 1:48 with alex immediately turning his head to him "wtf are you doing man" is 10/10 real band stuff
I wouldn't call that a mistake!! But true that Alex had zero tolerance for variations in the groove!! 😂😂
What mistake?
I LOVE 'EM!
I love every part of this song, but around 1:55 he starts sounding like Bowie ❤️
Well, I take that as a compliment
As a species, we peaked around here.
gorgeous
Thanks for great song and band
EXCELENT!! PATAGONIA 2019.CHILE.🇨🇱
El gran Mike Smith en el saxo. Desde el 95 con Damon.

Where the universal's free
You can find it anywhere
Yes, the future has been sold
Every night we're gone
And to karaoke songs
How we like to sing along
Though the words are wrong
It really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
When the days they seem to fall through you
Well, just let them go
No one here is alone
Satellites in every home
Yes, the universal's here
Here for everyone
Every paper that you read
Says tomorrow is your lucky day
Well, here's your lucky day
It really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
If the days they seem to fall through you
Well, just let them go
Well, it really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
When the days they seem to fall through you
Well, just let them go
Just let them go
Just let them go

I was 18 when this happened, what a time lol.
brill song from blur didnt know they sung that thought it was an oldie before 1995
damonn! 😍
Bon souvenir
Awesome
Song 1990 good
Fucking Amazing - beautiful songwriting :-)
Blur Vs Oasis 🤘 Good Times!
Damon is an incredible Aging machine. He has aged Super fast from 90’s till this now
It’s been ~30 years, lol, just under half of uk life expectancy.
bro, it's been over 25 years, it's like wondering how a baby turned into a 20 year old man
Stoopid😅
te amo @blurofficial
Just so we're all clear, Blur won. Right?
Yes
As much as I like Blur, Oasis wins hands down
In reality, maybe not by the popularity mark but sometimes that’s good
If we’re really sayin it, oasis did win, Damon even said it, but in the end Damon won because gorillaz became bigger than oasis ever could
I'm afraid not. This is a great song but oasis just have too many great songs
It would have been a crime if this version never happened.
Fucking awesome.
How come someone could say Oasis is better when watching this?
Because this is one video. Of one good song
because they’re better.
@@jakedowell7457 .Blur has at least a hundred good songs
heaven. 2:00
That horn section
Who's singing backup?
Whilst Oasis fancied themselves as the 2nd coming of The Beatles. Blur quietly wrote something that could have been a bonus track on Abbey Road
I've known this group in 1994 channel v
damon.. 😭
Oh thank fuck, British Gas has only ruined the album version
Most British thing ever.
those damned adverts ruined this song.
eggy brain those adverts are paying for his house his very big house in the country
Puede haber canción más perfecta?!

The Hyde Park Version is the best.
Normcore to the back.
