The Original Story of Megatron in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. 1 of the most confusing and frustrating things about Movie Megatron is the fact that he always plays 2nd fiddle to another villain. Especially in Revenge of the Fallen. Even though he literally says that even in death there is no other leadership but his in the same movie. What's weird is that we never got an explanation of why he was even serving the Fallen in the movie. You could only find out if you read the tie-in comics. Apperently Megatron's was altered significantly during development of Revenge of the Fallen; the climax of the film would have revealed Megatron served The Fallen under the pretense of becoming a Prime, which Optimus exposes a lie, explaining Primes are born, not made. An angered Megatron refused to aid The Fallen in his final battle, and returned to the Nemesis via The Fallen's space bridge to raise an army of hatchlings. Кино
"Primes are born not made"
Megatron learned about nepotism that day
More so destiny
And then years later Optimus gets the uno reverse card from lockdown
Lockdown: you think you were born? You were made
Megatron: EVEN IN DEATH, THERE IS NO COMMAND BUT MINE…
Also Megatron: My Master, I have failed.
I think it's showing how Megatron thinks he's the ultimate leaderb, but then The Fallen returns and Megatron fears him.
It means that Megatron is the one and only leader of decepticons and no one will replace him. Fallen didnt replace Megatron's position as a leader in that movie.
The Fallen is the founder of the decepticons and Megatron's mentor. Megatron still calls the shots among the others.
Literally the Next Phrase. .wtf
It seems like in every Transformers movies Megatron became weaker and weaker
Galvatron and Knight Megatron were strong.
It is more so that his first appearance is epic, and everything after that feels as if it follows a downward slope.
Issue with setting expectations too high and a cautious tale about hyping up your secondary villain.
Well he did have to be revived after being killed by Sam in the first movie, just like how Optimus was weak after being revived by the matrix, only became strong after taking Jetfire's powers
If I were told "Primes are born, not made", I'd join the Decepticons.
You should come join the Decepticons. They're pretty chill
Can i join plz. i can be spokesman
@@dylanmulvaney9912 sure
@dylanmulvaney9912 sorry. That's starscream. He doesn't like it when people take the spotlight.
(I'm pretty sure he's the spokesman, canonically. Seems like him. I'm probably wrong though.)
@@Lord_Megatron_TFPYo dudes the Decepticons ate pretty chill, you should like join it or something
Knowing the movie was written while filmed, I'm surprised there's a plot idea that's scrapped.
I think it's obvious Megatron refuses to serve anyone but then The Fallen is back and Megatron fears him.
Its like Sentinel/Optimus relationship, both Fallen and Sentinel act like mentors to Prime and Megatron, but once their interests start contradicting each other, they wont be afraid to fight them.
There's another change that clears things up.
Originally, the fallen was sealed inside a coffin-like device that the Decepticons had excavated. The Decepticons needed to steal various artifacts to get it open. In return, the fallen promised to make Megatron a Prime. He wasn't supposed to be Megatron's master, just an ally.
The coffin thing was dropped altogether, so it's unclear why the Fallen just refuses to get involved. The artifacts were also removed. This makes the Autobots look bloodthirsty for chasing sideways down, since in the final movie he's done nothing wrong.
They should have kept these.
Orion pax would beg to differ he forged his way to being a prime from a clerk even though he was technically a rebirth of a prime that chose to be reborn as a ordinary cybertronian
That's what I thought, even Optimus started off as a regular autobot until he was given the prime chip, that her got from rodimus prime, who was hotrod before he got the prime chip, I know that's older storylines but that's what I've always believed XP
optimus actually one of the original 13 primes he is reincarnation of thirtheenth prime
@@meccawood7180, my brain hurts from readin this.
@@_Faraam, no.
@@_Faraambro forgot this aint tfp
Megatron being a prime was mentioned in the final battle of the Revenge of the fallen game x360/ps3
not being the line primes are born not made megatron is even said he tells him he's betrayed and he helps optimus kill him
Maybe Megatron either was planning to kill The Fallen or just respected him because he was the first Decepticon
the fact that they called Baby Cybertronians Hatchlings instead of Sparklings upsets me
But... Lockdown said that Optimus wasn't born, he was made...
Made, as in born.
Lockdown said “where do you think you came from….you think you were born…no…you were built…and your creators want you back…we all work for someone” that’s what he said to prime
@@TheItalianMafias Yeah, and humans are created, and then born.
Same with the hatchlings.
“Primes are born, not made,”
Orion Pax…
That's G1 and Primeverse, chucklenuts.
@@AfterthymeGaming AKA, the actual lore
@@ModTheBot don't talk to me if you think all Transformers media has the same lore.
@@AfterthymeGaming No I’m talking about the REAL Transformers lore, not the stupid Bayverse bastardization of it.
@@ModTheBot are you saying I can't like Transformers Animated or Cybertron/Unicron Trilogy because it's not TRUE Transformers lore?
"You think you were born? No, you were build"
Optimus also said "primes are born, not made" in the movie game
This ending would have been ten times better than the one we got like the one from Dark of the Moon.
We kinda got this ending in the revenge of the fallen videogame for PSP, iirc that last clip is from there.
The ending of wii game makes sense now
And yet we got path of Megatron's store from movie in the video game for the PS3 and Xbox 360
That’s such a cool explanation imo
I feel like its out of character for Optimus to say that, wasnt Optimus a nobody before becoming a Prime?
Yeah except for like Transformers Prime where he was one of the original 13 primes then he had Alpha Trion erase his memory and make him a Data clerk
Megatron really crossed his arms and went to his room.
This was the story line for the PSP RotF game. You play as Megatron and you have to defeat The Fallen.
What’s interesting is in the TF2 game, if you play the role of the deceptacons you get to follow that plot line AND kill the fallen as megatron when he finds out about the “prime” stuff
I really feel like we need like a Snyder cut version of all the transformers movies especially ROTF!
Makes sense even in the G1 univers Galvatron was made to belive that the quintasons would make him into a Prime but was fooled.
This is the main thing that pissed me off about these movies. Megatron being made 2nd b*tch to someone else is a complete misunderstanding of his character. Each subsequent appearance by him was worse than the last.
At least the game of Revenge of the Fallen acknowledged this plot point and shows it. It also demonstrates why you don't lie and double cross Megatron. I always liked the game ending for the Decepticons way better than the movie and wish it stayed like that.
What’s cool is the game for revenge of the fallen actually has this storyline
I remember seeing the comic, he was saved by the fallen on cyberton when he was injured.
You mean they messed up? Color me not surprised.
I like the IDW comics Megatron story in which he was essentially a slave who wrote a treatise called "Towards Peace." The word "Decepticon" was supposed to mean "You are being lied to," which references the authoritarian Cybertronian Senate's mandate of "Your form dictates your fate and function." Originally, he wanted to free all Cybertronians to choose their own path in life before the Senate captured him and altered his brain, but the reprogramming was interrupted and incomplete. As a result, Megatron went insane and became a total dictator.
I've heard about this, I also know that this is also because of Of a falling out megatron, Had with optimus, Because of Sentinel prime.
"Primes aren't made, they are born".
Erm...... Orion Pax..... Look him up...... Brief summary though, he was a lowly cybertronian worker who was "remade" into Optimus prime..... Primes can be made, rather than born.
If primes are born
Then what lockdown
Meant thought you born, you were built 🤔
Primes are born, not built. G1 Orin would say otherwise
the 360 game said the same thing he promised him to be a prime which is impossible
in transformers Prime it shown that the primes made him a prime cause he not agree with Megatronus about ruling cybertron and showed why they made him a prime
Sentinel is too not prime then megatron be a prime 🤣
That would explain why in the game megatron fights the fallen at the end
Anyone one else besides me have that Walmart edition or whatever prequel comic turned animated video comic? About Bee following the Allspark right after Mega?
Think it was called Transformers Beginnings…
Megatron served the fallen because Megatron heavily looked up to the fallen. Megatron changed his name. Twice if this new movie is actually canon. But the other name Megatron had was Megatronus. Megatronus is the Fallen’s original name. And in many Transformers movies, shows, history etc. The fallen only had one master and that was the evil twin brother of Primus himself Unicorn. history of the Transformers changes a lot. But anyway like I was saying.
Megatronus (Megaton) Changed his name shorting it to Megatron removing the us at the end. after that it’s pretty much the same story from there at least for the war for cybertron. Long story short an outraged now Megatron started a civil war, destroyed the planet and ended up on earth. A lot of shows and movies based off the Transformers are different in some of the lore and backstory. But a great many of them kinda keep to the original lore. They most likely changed up the lore a bit due to not wanting to get Copyrighted or anything. whatever the reason it confuses many people who wanna learn about the Transformers
Is it explained better in the ROTF novelization, too?
I was under the inpression the fallen was megatrons frail grandpa
They should of just kept the 2007 version
Which more or less ended up in Transformers 2 the game
What’s that animated part at the end?!
Megatron is just a joke in these scene. Often being menacing but when the everyone starts throwing hands he kept getting his as whooped by Prime.
If this was the case in every time they fight Why the fuck did Prime and the autobots even fled Cybertron when Prime kept beating Megatron's ass on a daily basis
Mindless action filming over common sense writing, ridiculous.
To be fair they started filming before there was a finished script
If the transformers scan a shit box car does the car become new or is it still a shit box
Well, it seems they can change color, so I guess it becomes as new as the scan lets them guess.
It becomes a bad one externally and has a worn-down salon.
Remember, appearance and seating areas are redundant to functioning of the transformer.
Under the lid, it is brand new and crispy.
That's in the video game version as well
