Great piece of a great composer (and wonderful orchestration too)!
Such a great piece of music. Makes me want to hear more Caplet.
It was introduced to the American concert stages by Heidi Lehwalder, who performed it with several major string quartets, which made it de rigeur repertoire for other string quartets.

That is the piano score, not harp notation.
It's a shame that Laskine never got herself a modern harp.
The score reads "piano", not "harp". Was that a printing error? The writing certainly sounds more idiomatic on the harp...
It's a version for piano to maximize performing opportunities. Of course it is for harp.
