odd how simple design choices can make a huge difference. The overall shape and build of this scooter definitely makes it look a lot better than its competition. It looks like it's right up there with Segway in terms of quality. Never heard of VMAX but it looks like good stuff. RS5 looks like a beast
Looks like a tank. If I hadn’t ordered an Apollo Go I would have probably gotten a scooter from these guys. Vmax and Apollo seem to be one of the few companies that care about that good water resistance rating. It rains here, and there are hills, so dual motors is the way to go
Thanks for the comment! Water resistance is very important to us. Along with UL certified batteries. The VX2 Pro wins just about all other scooters in its class in speed, acceleration, range and especially hill climb.
How far we have come since the M365. Europe has a lot of restrictions including a top speed of 15.5mph and 500 watts in many countries and typically that meant poor hill climbing ability so what vmax has done here with an ability to put out a really high peak power with an average power motor is great, makes it safer and better at hills than any other commuter scooter and just like Apollo go for drum and regen so low maintenance and a decent IP rating. Even the turn signals at the back has been thought of and look to also be the best on any scooter. You do however get suspension with the Segway gmax 2. If I was buying a vmax the 4 with the suspension would be the best choice however it does t have that easier to use rocker switch for turn signals and think it’s disc not drum. But a great company making great scooters.
Any plans for dealers or retail stores? I'd love to test drive the VX4 vs the VX2 to decide if suspension is worth the extra 15lbs up and down NYC stairs.
Honestly it just doesnt feel like a 500w motor. According to the specs, it's a 500w motor with a peak of 1300w which is not typical. Usually it's something like 500w with a peak of 750w. From how it feels and rides, I would say they intentionally underrated the motor to make it acceptable and legal in more places? I'm not sure, but the torque on this is unlike any other 500w scooter I've used. In the torque department, it even beats two other scooters I've tested that were 600w and 800w
Hey Zach - thanks for ordering the VX2 Pro GT! And glad you figured out how to unlock the top speed. If you have any further questions - don't hesitate to ask.
You got me extra curious to try this one now. I also own a 500w scooter. It's not bad, but it's also pretty underwhelming when I try to floor it. With the 10% off I'm real tempted. Man..decisions decisions..lol
We may be slightly biased 😉, but if our opinion matters - Go For It! In all seriousness though - our 500W motor is on a whole different level than just about all other 500W motors out there. You'll have a ton of fun with the VX2 Pro - guaranteed!
And as mentioned in the video, in addition to the powerful motor, our scooters have IPX6 waterproof rating, UL certified batteries, 10 in tubeless tires, turn signals, drum and regen brakes, and much more!
I received my VX2 Pro yesterday, charged it and rode it about 4 miles this morning. I can't seem to get it "unlocked" to go over 16 mph. I tapped the power button 5 times and the "13" appears. I then used the throttle to go from 1 to 2. I power it down...power it up and it still only goes 16 mph. I tried in ECO and SPORT. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Any assistance would be appreciated.
VMAX support just emailed me and it was an easy fix. I was doing everything right except when done I needed to hit the power button another five times. It set it to the higher amount now and it really made a difference. Good customer support to VMAX for sure.
They now have the Extreme VMAX VX2 out! Direct contender to the Apollo Go with the same price and with a whopping 1600 watt peak motor! However, the lack of at least a front suspension is still a dealbreaker.

We agree 🙂! Thanks so much for feedback and comment.

Thanks for the great review of the VMAX VX2 Pro!

Excellent review ant footage. What makes this nominal 500w motor more outstanding and efficient than your previously owned identical wattage scooters?

I just got my VX2 Pro GT today and even in sport mode it doesnt go over 16 mph 😢
Edit: towards the end he says how to unlock the full speed!

Glad I could help you get it unlocked! It's an odd process but fairly simple once you have the instructions.

I’m at 8 minutes, still waiting for you to talk about the beast mode activation, that unlocks top speeds!
Thanks for watching! The unlock directions are toward the end of the video when speed test is done

Great to hear. Definitely a confusing unlock process but glad you got it going.
That scooter would be perfect if it had some kind of suspension. But nice video. Paying $200 more the Apollo Go would better.
Definately. They have another model, the "VX4" looks the same but has a front suspension. Priced the same as the Apollo
@@EricReviews what’s crazy is that one goes slower. But it’s still nice.

I started hinting my wife that I wanted this scooter. Here's to hoping it shows up on my doorstep soon, Lol
Lol..hopefully things work in your favor!
Until they make the tops of a scooter wider and longer I won't be buying one they need to be longer and wider , this is dangerous.
