Other guys pick at me for taking such good care of my boxes and tools but they are more than just tools to me. My dad passed all of his down to me that he attained from the time he left the Navy when WW2 was over until he passed in 2014. They’re priceless to me. I plan to pass all mine down to my son one day. That’s also the main reason I try to buy mostly USA made tools. This guy apparently works in one of the few good dealerships left. It’s almost unheard of to find a technician that stays in one dealership that long anymore. I hope the dealership appreciate him because guys like him are few and far between. You should’ve asked him on camera how difficult it is to keep that white roll cart looking clean.
at my dealer theres a guy who keeps to himself mostly, hes worked at the dealership since it was still Ford-New Holland (I work for New holland) so about the mid 90s till now :)
My tools are as special and important to me as a pro golfer's clubs are. I am no longer in the profession but I have tools that I bought in the 70s and as a ASE certified tech in the 80s. I keep everything organized and clean. My box (s) have been waxed numerous times throughout their life. When you make a living and rely on your tools to consistently work there is no substitute for quality. What alot of people do not understand is just how important it is that a tool not fail. Does not matter if it has a lifetime warranty, you can not afford for a tool to fail. It seems that is what everyone points to when comparing a Snap On, Matco, Mac tool to a cheaper brand. The key is never having to need the warranty. When your living is based on a book value of time breaking tools is directly affecting your wallet. It pays X time to perform the job, dosen't matter if you take twice as long, you still only make book value time. Of course you do have the convenience of the tool truck servicing you and are able to spread out the cost over time. Hell most techs have owed a tool truck money since they started working. That and it is only in recent years that you actually had options when buying quality tools. Home mechanics went with Craftsman and professionals bought from one of the tool trucks. Even today it seems that everybody and their brother compares their offerings to Snap On, there is a reason for that. Fortunately for many the interweb has made buying quality tools so much easier. Companies like Tekton offer a good quality product and have probably the best replacement warranty process in the business. Well as far as buying online.
@Antonio Orozco he doesn't need them. Until you're into medium duty you rarely need 3/4" drive and the shop likely has a set for when they do. He spends his money on what makes him money. $600 for a set of sockets you have at the shop and use once every three months isn't exactly a bright idea.
As someone who just got into the automotive technician field a couple weeks ago, I always like seeing what the guys that have been in the field for years use and have.
I would love to pick Mr. Sheffield's brain. I can't imagine how much you could learn from someone like him! I'm a diy / hobbyist mechanic and I try and learn as much as I can. Its not often you find someone who knows how to do things the right way that you're able to learn from. Everyone shares their two cents but you can never replace someone with 20+ years of actual hands on experience and training.
It was nice to "meet" Brent in this video. I have been a Ford Technician (in Ford Dealerships of course) since 1987, and achieved my Ford Senior Masters in 1999.........the first year Ford launched the Senior Masters Program. Brent seems to be a heck of a good guy! One I would not mind having my stalls next to!! EXCELLENT presentation! Patrick
What I love about this is how he doesn’t even have to talk when he opens the drawers. We all just sit a look in awe at how awesome his collection is😂😂😂
Love it Brent!!! I also am a Ford Senior Master Tech now for 13 years! I have been at the same dealership for 30 years now in Florida. Big shop. We have about 30 techs now, but at one time, we had 50 techs!! Doing this in the South like we do sucks weatherwise 75 percent of the time, LOL. Hope you shop has AC! Our one does not, but a new facility is currently under construction! Been through everything from audits, ownership change, Manager change, pay plans, turnover, etc... But, still love mt job!! We are the Elite in our practice Bro!!
I have a fully restored 68 Firebird so that black box is awesome! But that box would look best next to 1977 Firebird Trans Am ( Smokey and the Bandit). On a side note, other than my 2 classic cars I have to say tools! And Firearms. My family first of course, then good friends . But after that its cars, tools and fine firearms.
Wow Wow Wow SUBSTANTIAL koo trucking Very impressive tools Thank you very much two great guys Thank you for sharing with us. Koo trucking From Nick Ayivor from London England UK 🇬🇧
I bought my first tools off a snap on truck. Alot at one time. Needed a startup set and the guy hooked me up. 4k for what retailed for 10k. 54 inch box, clip tools, impact gun, ratchet ,sockets , wrenches (with the flank drive),some body hammers and dollies, and 1/2inch sockets chrome and impact
WOW! That was impressive the roll cart is the money maker, Milwaukee should give him tools to test! Great video , you can tell he really take pride in his tools and his craft. Thank for the video and the great ending.
Definitely love the white box. Mustang sounds tinny compared to my old Cushman Eagle scooter. Well maybe my memory isn't what it used to be. Great video. Thank you Brent and Koon Trucking.
That's a cool firebird box I've never seen one I like the tools and screwdrivers I've seen guys spend crazy money on some but I never needed anything great I'm still using a 30 piece set of Craftsman I bought 25 years ago
My dad had a friend that had a Harley Davidson 95th anniversary Snap On toolbox.Owned a Harley Davidson dealership in Muskegon,Mi.I know his widow still has it.This friend and my dad knew each other for a long time.My dad bought a few motorcycles from him in the past.
That rollcart is HUGE!! I’ve got the same big toolbox except it was a Kevin Harvick edition I got used, no locker on mine though but I’d like to get one. It looks like his rollcart held everything for the most part that was in his big box, that’s awesome!!
That guys service cart looks ALOT like my set up at work. I guess great minds really do think alike! Lol my cart is a Cornwell though. But this guys cart and mine are almost set up exactly the same. The amount of guns he had was amazing!!!!! Lol
Hi Clay, I've been watching your videos from the UK and I think they are really great! It's nice to see the passion you have for your profession and the tools! I bought my first Snap-on tool when I was 17 and fell in love with the whole experience. I moved to the medical world and have been a professional Paramedic for 30 odd years now but I still have my tools, Snap-on Master serious 'Isle of Man TT 100th anniversary' edition. I do think some things are over-priced but as you say - shop around, by MAC, Facom, Irwin - whatever is quality and suits your budget and the job. I treated myself to a 1/4 drive metric set for working on motorcycles just a couple of weeks ago. Stepping on the van took me back to when I was 17!! We don't have Matco here in the UK or Cornwell as far as I understand. Keep it up! Brent has a great Roll-cart and 'hats off' to the experience and qualifications he has acquired. I'm defo going to keep watching! My best mate from school ives in Houston so if we ever come to the U.S.A. I might pop in for a coffee!! ;-)
What a beautiful roll cart- everything is bad-ass in this video! I’m sure Brent can get some sh_t done with his certs and that set-up! A TV in his roll-cart pretty cool!
Love the tool box tours its helped me choose to get a snap on roll cart as my everyday cart since we are building a new huge shop and it will just save time
This was a damn good video, those are some awesome accomplishments , hats off to Brent ! That’s a sweet roll cart too! I need one with that much storage . Keep up the good work to both of you.
I got a black and green Matco ratchet I use the most ..same length as the one he likes to use the most...and I just got a 18 in chrome with black and blue handle...love my new one..
I'm with you and this master technician. I am converting all my flex head ratchets to Matco. The same reasons too. The Matco and snap on ratchets are nearly dead even regarding smoothness. But the Matco ratchets are slimmer, less bulky and the feel is better in my opinion. I like a comfort grip, not a soft grip like the snap on.
Started with a black and decker tool kit for my longboard and bicycle when I was 10 then when I was 16 got a service cart big red 129 set then when I started it the biz I got the same kinda cart then got a pt850 and the bluepoint tire pressure gauge and also the Ct761 so I say I'm off to a great start!
Awesome toolbox tour. Would love to see how Brett has that TV hooked up. Been thinking about doing one for when I have to research manuals for various types of equipment that I worked on.
Can you guys do a video about the different scanner options that are out there. Just had a problem recently where I needed to pay a diagnostic fee to find something wrong with my truck that I ended up fixing myself. I would appreciate a review between your dealers
Thanks everyone for all the positive comments. Hope everyone enjoys the video as I did filming it.
Brent Sheffield your rollcart is top notch! Do the guys at the dealership bust your chops for having a GM box at a ford dealership? Haha
Harlem D thanks! No the guys at work have never said anything about it. Me and the box were there when they all started.
Thanks for sharing I’d probably trade my whole setup for that Milwaukee drawer
Beautiful boxes and great setups!!! Also that's one badass car
Corey Suttles thanks man! You have a nice setup also.
Brent has more tools in his white box than my previous Snap on dealer had on his truck! Thanks for the tour.
Haha I know right ! I told you guys this one was awesome !!
LOL
@@KoonTrucking Clay you’ve been making a lot of good tool videos, this one was Special!

My heart literally skipped a beat when he opened the power tool drawer on the cart and again when he opened it on the box. Jaw dropping collection.
It’s impressive ! No doubt !
Clayton Scheiber and he pulls the drawer with two fingers like it’s hardly loaded.
@Antonio Orozco he doesn't need them. Until you're into medium duty you rarely need 3/4" drive and the shop likely has a set for when they do. He spends his money on what makes him money. $600 for a set of sockets you have at the shop and use once every three months isn't exactly a bright idea.
@Antonio Orozco “weak”😂😂
That box is very nice but man that cart is crazy. I hope snap-on still makes that size.
that milwaukee drawer had me feeling thoughts i didnt know i had.

I like the fact that is working for ford and have a firebird edition tool box!!! 😆awesome tool box and cart, very impressive!!!
That's the same Matco 15 inch 3/8 flex head ratchet I use daily. Same color too. Love it. And nice to hear a diehard Snap-On guy prefers it.

Dude looks pretty humble nice seeing him not showing off all his certs on his shirt he blends in with all the other techs,
Very nice toolbox, tool collection, & organized too. Thank you for sharing your toolbox/toolcart inventory with us.
Gregg Critter Muse
Thanks for watching!
Brett seems like a great guy! He’s probably one of the most knowledgeable Ford techs. in the country. Loved this video, thanks!
A tech's tech as he waited at least 15-20 seconds to allow engine oil to flow before stabbing throttle. Respect to him

New trucks rust out so fast 💨 but the good ole fords hold for years and still running 💪
More tools in his toolbox than my Snap On dealers truck 😂😂.He has great pride in what he does and his tool organisation is top quality
Every time he sais,” a little” it actually translates to “a lotta”
Okay, but this guys power drawer on his roll cart is my dream 😅. I love my Milwaukee stuff as well
9:27 " ya theirs a little bit of milwaukee stuff " DAMN if thats a little of milwaukee, what is a lot?!?! LOL Beautiful Tool Cart!

Thanks for the Tour Brett. Nice Show Clay 🍻🤙
*Brent. Says it on his shirt.
It was fun to hang out with Clay and shoot the video. Love your channel!
That rollcart surprises me and he pulls the drawers open with two fingers. He certainly must be on the route ahead of your guys shop.

Love That Fire Bird Customized Tool Box
That cart is badass! Holds a lot in there. Thanks for sharing
*You can detach the paddle tigger on the Milwaukee Ratchets and, just use your finger to press the button. It works great.*
Great car, nice box setup, and good video Mr. Clay!
Gotta feeling I'll be watching this video a few more times.
I like the Tv in the roll cart
I like the 12 inch Snap On side cutters. Damn things will cut through almost anything.
What a beautiful roll cart- everything is bad-ass in this video! I’m sure Brent can get some sh_t done with his certs and that set-up! A TV in his roll-cart pretty cool!
i love fords, they keep breaking and keep me in business lol
I love what you are doing I love what I do for a living it has been great for me and my family
Love the tool box tours its helped me choose to get a snap on roll cart as my everyday cart since we are building a new huge shop and it will just save time
Clean shop, walley must not stop,by then lol .
We love you all
Two things I ’ve learnt from this video is you can never have to many tools and the other Ford engines must be complicated.
That Firebird theme is the $hit. Love it. Looking to get a docker locker myself. Now I’m sold.
Omg I love that Firebird box!! Those things are not easy too come by.
The tool chest and tools are great but Mr Sheffield is awesome.
That is one of the nicest tool boxes I like the firebird
Wow what a set up.. pretty cool stuff
Liked that white rolling cart held a lot .
Awesome Collection! Loving the Firebird box!!! and of course all the Milwaukee!!!
That roll cart is gorgeous 😍
It probably cost as much as a firebird back in the day lol
Probably more honestly !
That’s a $5700 tool cart right there lol
Very nice toolbox Tour sir i love it keep up your great work
Hey 16:52, i gots a junk drawer too! Hahaha
Sounded like you kept saying Brett. Says Brent on his shirt. Love his firebird toolbox, black with gold really goes well on a master krl.
No I was saying Brent just my southern accent
@@KoonTrucking ahhh that makes sense. My mistake. Carry on Clay!
Good video. This guy could fix mr. Joe's truck right the first time.
Proud of my boy! He does love his tools.
Awesome setup bud, another who takes pride in the field!
This was a damn good video, those are some awesome accomplishments , hats off to Brent ! That’s a sweet roll cart too! I need one with that much storage . Keep up the good work to both of you.
Turbo TyTy thanks man I appreciate the compliments! It’s been a work in progress.

First thing I bought on a snap on truck , was…. A yellow straight pick… and then I got the screw driver with the yellow handle.
Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing
Expensive taste in tools, I love it
Started with a black and decker tool kit for my longboard and bicycle when I was 10 then when I was 16 got a service cart big red 129 set then when I started it the biz I got the same kinda cart then got a pt850 and the bluepoint tire pressure gauge and also the Ct761 so I say I'm off to a great start!

Awesome toolbox tour. Would love to see how Brett has that TV hooked up. Been thinking about doing one for when I have to research manuals for various types of equipment that I worked on.
