It's finally done!! As someone who headcanons Ashfur as sounding like Tony Jay as Frollo _specifically because_ I saw a video from the MS Paint AMV era using this song for Ashfur, I could not be more thrilled that it's all come full circle. Everyone did great. Amazing job, you wonderful artsy folks!
I'm pretty sure they're talking about how Draikonator was originally the host of this map before it got re-hosted. They did some pretty bad things and their channel was taken down for a while.

Omg the colors and lighting in this are amazing on so many different levels. Even all the motions and lip syncs everyone accomplished is fantastic. So many of us lost hopefor this to be complete but here is the masterpiece unfolded.
I'm about a month late but I just want everyone to know I'm happy to see this finished! Many of us had doubted it'd be finished at all but it's finally here and all of the animator's worked hard to make it possible and I thank them for that. Great job everyone!
This is sooooooo good!!!! I absolutely adore this! Everything from the individual parts to the concept to the designs and just??? MWAH! I especially love Ashfur's design. I find it really interesting how different designs give characters completely different vibes, especially when combined with music. For example, comparing this Ashfur to Bramblefur, this one feels a lot more determined, bolder, and more... well. Inflamed. He's taking the initiative. Meanwhile Bramblefur feels more cunning and spiteful and kind of pathetic but in an "oh shit, this loser's just about had enough, he's gonna snap any second" kind of way. And sure enough, he sees an opportunity and he snaps.

Every time I listen to this song I get chills down my spine, it's just- terrifying, and watching it when you're a little kid (I'm talking 8 or below because that's the average for this movie) you don't process the lyrics, you just think: "Oh, yeah, he's mad at the [word of which I will not use here], that makes sense." but when you begin to re-watch it and think about the lyrics it's just- so unbelievably creepy! Regardless of my little rant, THE ANIMATION AND EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! 10/10, all across the board!
THIS IS SO AMAZING AND WELL DRAWN AND THE DESIGN IS SO SO GORGEOUS!!!! All the artists deserve a standing ovation for this masterpiece!! The technique expressing the fire, the ANGLES!! The different and unique styles somehow blending together beautifully is something not many MAPS can do!! So this, this is amazing!
SO can I just say I love this AMV, so much simply because not only is the *song* so banger, but multiple people have done variations of this AMV focusing on this character with this song over the years, and this is the best yet (some of my favorite parts are at 0:50, when Ashfur does a doubletake to see the reflection of the fire in the lake, at 1:34, where he looks at the same time so emotional about Squirrelflight, and so *calm*, even *mesmerized* about the fire on his paw, at 2:26 with the look of sheer *crazy* on his face, and of course the entire bit with Hollyleaf killing him)

Commenting on it's own so more people are aware- the word that was censored is an antiromani slur (and Romani voted as the preferred word in the 1971 First Romani World Congress), and THOND has been criticized for its usage and portrayal of the Romani people! It's less racist than the book, but that isn't saying much given the book was uh. Really racist. THOND has also been criticized for it's portrayal of background Romani characters as fitting into racialized caricatures. The specific slur censored is an exonym that originally came from the misconception that the Romani peoples were from Egypt rather than India; some communities do reclaim it or use it as the only other alternative in some languages is the exonym slur that comes from the greek word for slave. It's a complex issue, but generally gadje (the non-perjorative term for non-Romani people) should use Romani instead of the g slur! That's why it's censored in this video/the vocals cut out in a few spots!

Even with fire being animated almost constantly in the background, the character movements are really detailed and smooth!!!
