The one thing I always remember about the fade out with this colour scheme was that it went to white, rather than the usual black, but then had to go to black eventually. A perfect example of which is here.
Thank you for this of course. This was when the written TWO had come into being in March 1986 replacing the stripey lined 2 before it. It was alright in a way but now then later on seen really as the worst one they have had alas. It ran though of course until February 1991 when it was replaced by the much better celebrated figure 2s that then ran until 2001 or so too. Well done!
i like this announcer, although one of my favourite late night bbc announcers was cathy stewart at around this same era.
