Some are critiquing this song for being overly simplitstic and formulaic. Personally, I want exactly that from some songs. Its catchy, grovy and memorable. Thats all it needs
Variety is a must on any album so I think this a great fit plus there is quite a bit of depth to it upon multiple listens 🔥🤘

It's not the most complicated song but the lyrics and delivery are haunting. Not everything needs to be Dream Theater levels of convoluted.

Currently my favorite track off the album. It’s clean and predictable but in the best way possible. Sometimes less is more and this track progressed in a way that gave me exactly what I wanted. Beautifully written and performed.

The pain in his voice when he sings “why are you never real?” And “just let me go or take me with you” haunt me and make me put this song on repeat often. It’s just so good, feel it in my soul

I agree 110 % this is so beautiful and haunting. It's like he's trying to let a memory go but it won't let him do he's begging to either let go or take me with you. Then on rain it's like something or someone else finally got his attention and at that point he's finally letting go of what he's been chasing and grieving for all this time. At least that is what I get from those songs

I love so many things about Sleep Token and one thing is their influence from Depeche Mode. You can clearly hear it in the synth melodies and synth patches used. Also in some chord progression and transitions. This is by far the best album I´ve heard in many years. Truly stunning
Maybe that’s why I love them so much, Depeche Mode has been my favorite band since I was little. I’m so happy I found sleep token, it has taken over me and I’m in love

@@MartinLT74 for me...this is just my opinion, but Thriller from M. Jackson...and Purple Rian. Probably Purple Rain being the number one. Im not taking anything away from any other artist as there are thousands of great albums out there.
I'm 48 and agree, this album is absolute quality and sits on another level to the literal 100s I've had the pleasure to listen to in my life.
This song is my FAVOURITE on the album, like it is the STANDOUT for me. Like I LOVE Ascensionism and Take Me Back To Eden and Euclid, but this song and Rain are the ones I HAVE to listen to repeatedly every time they come on. The cadence in the beginning and the chorus reminds me of like... Spanish music if that makes sense? Idk, like I could imagine this song with Spanish lyrics. Someone called this song Alkaline 2.0 (in a positive way) and I gotta agree, except its actually Long Enough for me lmao this song keeps getting slept on by most of the reactors I've seen and I'm starting to think they're just using bad headphones and not actually HEARING the song bc I know the first time I listened I couldnt use my good earbuds and I feel like when I was able to use my good earbuds, it elavated my experience of the song even more
I love this one too probably my fave well it will probably go back and forth between them all at some point but right now it's the one that's hitting just right. It's dark and kinda sexy and I just love his voice in this one and the music is just so dramatic and sounds haunting and epic.

YES!!!!! It's wicked good. Honestly, the best part of this album is having your mind, body, and whole ass soul blown by the new tracks only to then remember all of the singles that are in this album that we'd already heard that already blew our minds, bodies, and dark souls and then you just... friggan ascend. And the way this album ends and calls back to their first, completing the cycle... just... wow
One thing I don't hear mentioned often is their synth wave influences.

One of my faves from the album. Gives me High Water vibes. The way it starts out simple then that weird trap like beat comes in followed by the big epic ambient guitar section. Perfection.

what's the solution to a song that only plays the chorus once? repeat 4ever! nice breakdown and analysis, the vocals falling back in the second half kind of signal to me that "ok I let out that big release, now we're just gonna vibe & fade out from here"

Yeah Rapper Vessel is ALIVE in the latter half of the album! Since the album release I constantly go back and forth between this and Ascensionism being my favorite. When the synths come out to play, you know its about to go down! I definitely agree with you about the mixing and layers on this album. That’s a element thats always been great with ST but its just phenomenal on this album!
Idk is liking AYRO unpopular opinion, but it's definetly the most touching song on record
