jordan peterson explaining how people get rejected for having dino arms and shrimp posture, while he himself is pacing arround with dino arms and shrimp posture
Great stuff man! Thanks for directing me to this channel, I really appreciate you taking the time to revisit this awesome video! I'll be keeping up with this channel along with your other one.
Beastars is one of those anime that, while I can enjoy the anime itself, I mostly find irritating a lot of the discussion surrounding it. Videos going on about how it represents this or that typically come from people who I find to be annoying busybody types, and that shows in their content. To your credit, this wasn't one of those. I liked the focus on Legoshi's internal struggle. As for JBP, this might be one of the few times I've heard anyone bring him up wrt his actual field lol. I tend to find the discussions around him annoying too, from both those who hate him and those who worship him. The clips you chose were particularly apt in this case though, and I appreciate how you didn't go off on some tangent after. Overall an excellent video, and I wish your new channel the best. You didn't ask for it, but you got a like and sub. Gl!
Oh and wrt future topics you can consider covering, I know you've done Freiren recently (and seen some pushback over one of your takes unfortunately, but at least the vids exploded in popularity). Perhaps consider examining Ergo Proxy or Texhnolyze. Among philosophical anime, Berserk and Serial Experiments Lain tend to get all the attention, but those two deserve love too.
Really great stuff here, man, thanks. Also very interesting to see the pre-fame JBP. I may not always agree with his political views, but I find his psychological insights fascinating.
I agree, I don’t really care for the religious zeal he sprinkles in his more current lectures and interviews… but the guy has good intentions imo, and he’s super knowledgeable in the field of clinical psychology.
I am glad I followed you, you do the analysis part very well, and + you found a "controversial" person (in some waters nowadays, unfortunately) who fits into and explains theme of the thing you are analyzing Mad respect 👌 I am expecting some good things from you
Finally someone gets it! The jungian interpretation really hits the nail. The genius of Beastars' worldbuilding is that struggles feel relatable, despite completely fictional nature of carivore and herbivore society. Interpreting Beastars just as social commentary and allegory for some real world groups doesn't fit (for obvious reasons) and some people who like this interpretation too much are getting frustrated when Beastars is suggesting that there really is internal problem to resolve, rather than oppresive society being source of all ills. Also everybody jumped to conclusion that carnivores are oppressed group, despite carnivores genociding 2/3rd of herbivores 90 years before the present day. The dynamic is far from black and white.
Beautifully made video, J Peterson is a wealth of knowledge! You should look up a channel run by the retired Dr Michael Sugrue. He has videos from his old lectures on philosophy and morality that are downright captivating. His videos may help provide insight into shows that have themes of the philosophical nature, the same way Peterson gives insight into the psychological nature of things.
@@DioTheGreatOne He's a lunatic and a hack. I share our friend's disgust, but also, Jungian psychology is his area of expertise. If there is a topic where refering to him is appropriate, I suppose it's this one. And, fittingly, in the context of analyzing a cartoon at that; talking about cartoons is seemingly his #1 passion.
Thanks, I found your channel through the hazbin video and this one inspired some introspection
Great to hear!
My exact same situation

Those who cannot do- Teach
He's so adamant in his message because deep down he knows he's a failure. Hell, the man's daughter is a single mother, who got pregnant as a teenager.

I don't regret watching your older videos after seeing your popular ones. Banger video. Dominant lobster approved.
Thanks for watching the old stuff. Every video is a learning experience.
Absolutely great video! You hit the nail on the head as to why I love Beastars so much as a narrative story!
Thanks! I wanted to make an analysis video from what is actually shown on the screen rather than some postmodernist interpretation about racism. 😅

Twilight was also an inspiration for this i think.
No wonder I found Legoshi to be so relatable.
Many people dismiss Beastars as a furry show but yeah, most young men would identify with Legoshi a lot if they watched it.

Is your old channel still accessible? I know you probably improved your content by a lot since then, but i'm curious nonetheless.
